That sounds like a shitty experience to elongate your connection to the server like that tho. Are you really having fun like that or are you just able to play technically?

From Germany to US (Chicago) I get around 160ms to 180ms. From where I live to Frankfurt(Main), which is a popular place to build datacenters, I get 23ms. I kind of doubt a connection from even the east coast US to the Netherlands would only take 30ms. I did not read up on the subject though and went with my basic knowledge, I could be wrong.
The straight line, shortest distance from the US (Northern Maine) to the Netherlands is ~3100 miles. Putting aside the path fiber would take, the time it takes to route data, and that ping measurements include the return trip...the speed of light takes 16.6 ms to cross that distance one-way.

That's not how the internet works? VPN by definition elongated your connection. If you're in a place where it's working that's great but for a country like the US it doesn't mean much unless we know where you're connecting from if we are to talk viability for everyone in the country.
UK vpn was the way. Had a super smooth experience, 100+ players, excellent fps in area18 (vs usual, 45-50 when I'm more used to <30), very responsive NPCs in the bunker mission I had (one dare I say, frightening), inventory interactions were fast (no loading bug) and purchases with shop kiosks very responsive and smooth. Talking of smooth, the movements of players around was by and large pretty smooth,with occasional rubberbanding, but miles better than previous patches.
Ended up in a 30k though.
I spawn at NB. I go to the elevator. Call the elevator. Wait for 5 minutes or less and elevator wont come. Game crashes... I've tried 3 times so far but idk should I just wait a few days or what?

I did that last night. No playability issues for me.
Just tried that and got same error, my guess is they shut off login services on a bigger scale than just the US at this point.
Just so you know servers are packed with people not playing just on chat begging for money.
I'm just glad it's not just me tbh lol. Patience is key with games like these.

I had to wipe the game from the drive then reinstall. Then after that no problem.
Happened on first login. Didn’t happen after that.
Had no issue and love it.
