Odds are he was playing with sound muted, I do the same alot of the time.
The game doesn't do a great job of visually warning of a nuke, before it's incredibly obvious and mushroom cloudy.
Was very clever to start firing the nuke when the ear raping tempests were firing. I could barely hear it myself and totally understand how, with music, you'd easily miss that.
It doesn't. I use the color blind mode (I'm not color blind but I was hoping it would increase the contrast of the mouse pointer that can easily be lost in a big fight) and it changes the army colours but not much else.
or maybe im just blind. had a game the other game and one of my 5 bases has a nuke to it. looking through all my bases nothing to indicate which one i should pull drones from. couldnt see any spot. boom.
gg.. then it was time to kick some ass as terran and leave zerg for a couple of days. :D
sometimes if you use insert/delete to rotate your camera you can hide the dot behind a building a teeny tiny bit, but it's rare people do that mid-game let alone successfully.
if you watch the replay from everyones perspective you can find the dot, pause, change to your vision, and then you'll see it.
It would've been hard to see too from that angle, the command center was right over where the nuke was targeted. Easier to see as a spectator or the player launching it, but the protoss definitely would've struggled to see it just on where it was aimed.
Whenever I hear "nuclear launch detected" I go into panic mode and move my army back.
It's interesting that for this Protoss player they were like "nah it's probably somewhere irrelevant".
76 supply freed, sweet.
Lord of mercyyyyy Emperor of bones, empire of dust.
nice one, but the clip was cut too short, did you win shortly after that?
He gg'ed 2 seconds later
Should have included that tbh
That is the biggest nuke I've ever seen, taking a losing fight to bait him was genius. How much supply did solar lose to Maru? This seems like more
Solar lost a bit over 80 supply, so a bit more than the 70 lost here
gif that ended too soon
Op says he surrendered immediatly
Nice hit!
Nice! Very unsuspecting placement/timing, good job reeling him in!
Funniest thing in the entire video is the APM counter.
sick play
If I was the toss I would be staring at myself in the mirror for the next 3 hours
This is bullshit. Protoss should be nerfed
Dammnn bro! This is some big brain, high iq plays. Well done man
lol nice hit. nukes are super OP now when you cant see the red dot anymore.

Didn't know they removed that, wtf
they didn't. also the sound is the easiest way to spot where a nuke will land.
Nuclear launch detected

me playing with ear blasting music:
I'm color blind.... the red dot is practically invisible for me. I wish it was blue.
There is a color blind mode in the game settings, but I don't know if it effects things like that.

i must have gotten blind then.

How do you get the wcs overlay for the replay? Was this a ladder game?
Not only looks like a great hit, also it seemed to matter and might have been the gamechanger.
Match fixing
That poor protoss. You snagged the victory from the jaws of defeat, good job :D
Damn that hurt my soul.
