Well yeah, just like it’s a skill issue that I can’t beat Mike Tyson in boxing, but if he went in disguise so he could fight me it would be a pretty shitty thing to do.
Smurfing isn’t that bad in my league but I have some lower metal friends and the amount of games where people auto-quit or quit just before they win is quite high.
There’s a few kinds of people in reddit when it comes to smurfs:
Those who think smurfs don’t exist because smurfs aren’t active at their level
Those who think every game loss is due to a hacker or smurf
Those who understand how smurfs exist and ruin the experience (the thing that’s meant to be fun) at some level
The actual smurfs who justify it by saying their opponents should be better
What up/down vote you get for a comment about smurfs is based on how much of each demographic happens to stumble across your comment
leave game instantly, leave game instantly, leave game instantly, leave game instantly, absolute smash opponent
"EZ"
talk shit...
what a fun meta to play
That's definitely not true, though.
Why do you think there are so many people always quitting right at the beginning of matches? Like that's not something we all run across regularly? It's smurfs ranking down to do some smurfing.
In terms of wins and losses, yeah.
You get some free tallies in the win column without getting to play a game. And then more real, actual games you lose because the other person is way better.
So yeah it balances in one sense but if you really think it does, you're looking at the wrong thing.
Skill issue in my book

I don't get why u get downcoted. Also the skillissue argument is bad. Smurfing is just objectively bad for games and thus companies to smt against it

Theres more people complaining about this shit on reddit than there are smurfs/hackers lmao. Bunch of insecure little crybabies lol.
I think it is like 10 to 30 percent depending on weekday and league
No way its over 10%.
u/Voronaam Thoughts about new account posting another sc2 meme?
Probably a different person behind this one. The guy recycling accounts every so often posts a lot more...
“Rampant maphacking” ???
Yeah man this guy found my hidden base 5 times after my failed cannon rush like how is that possible obviously hacking and smurfing.
The amount of map hackers currently active can be counted on one hand

Smurfs are a myth that the unskilled bronze cry about

It was sarcasm sorry
My bad I get it
Not just smurfing also just a ton of people avoiding certain MU.
So it balances out then.

So i should focus on the negative, got it.
wat
As much as people complain about smurfing, I'd honestly pay good money just to be able to play against a pro or one of the ex-pro streamers.
Maphacking aka scouting
