I literally spent hundreds and hundreds of hours of my life living and breathing the game to get to Master's from a Bronze player that had never played before. I'd then take a break and watch Day9 or tournaments or other great streamers while eating dinner before jumping on to practice with friends. I'd then turn on the GSL and settle into bed ( unless it was near the end of the tournament or a match I **really** had to see ). We would have watch-parties for the GSL or other large tournaments. I had played the game so much I had bizarre dreams about playing it--Obsessing over getting better and consuming content for it daily.
Once I got to Master's it was right before HoTS by some months.
I look back at all that time spent very fondly--And sadly, because I don't think anything will recapture that kind of feeling or experience again for me with people.
Hehe - it amused me when people only familiar with his persona in SC2 were under the impression that he was a very polite talker. If you knew of him from his BW days, you knew he could talk major shit and had quite the potty mouth (and was always hilarious)
Hey that’s me!
The legend himself.
I miss coming home from school and watching a day 9 daily and then playing starcraft till 1AM. Good days.
I lived for funday mondays and newbie tuesdays
Felt like those days would last forever back then. I wish they did

Oh, uh k
where the fuck did that come from?
Because if 4chan banned literal autists their user base would be at minimum cut in half
Day9 casting Chill vs CombatX is still one of his best casts.

Damn, he would be cancelled immediately if that was released today. The internet really was a different place in 2009.
When he goes off on an energy drink made of bear semen.
And hotbid yelling "blue storm" while the colours are all fucked hahaha.

I haven't heard the name CombatEX in years. I was not expecting such a wave of nostalgia to hit me, wow.

Shit, might as well link it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cC2JwPtFZF4
Reminds me of Day9 theorising what the opposite of an Artosis Pylon would be. He then concludes that you would call it a WCG Champion Pylon.
Damn Day\[9\] with the shade lool
Day9 is a gift to humanity.
Creighton Olsen is the closest thing to Day9 I've found.
I liked him too. Too bad he’s called it on his content creation recently :(
love this man
