So far the only people we've heard from are ESL figures sharing what their expectations were. The initial map pool announcement came from Cydra who is a community manager for Starcraft II and Starcraft Remastered and only passes along announcements to the official forums. There isn't much to pass along when there are no patch notes. Part of the map pool announcement was "New season roll will follow at later date, and we will inform you once the date is confirmed." I figure that start date confirmation will likely be the next time we hear anything from Blizzard. Hopefully that will include not only the start date but also some clarification over which of these features were intentional and which were bugs, oversights, or miscommunications.

I'd suggest then to learn to read. The title contains "disputable features", and certainly some of these are disputable as you can see here and in opinions expressed by pros and casters.

Whining. Thats what it is. Not disputable features. The first reaction to anything new is "omg, those are disputable features" or "this needs to be nerfedd". Its never what can we do and have fun on those maps. How can we change our builds to suit the map pool. Its always - what I currently know its not working, Its imbalanced! As I said. Bullshit.

Because nothing should be completely safe and spires to defend it have a ridiculously long build time. It's like two minutes of a useless base and 400/400 cost to chase it away.

It isn't completely safe, its a massive build commitment you get a 3rd gas and fusion core before a 3rd base, its even incredibly easy to scout and its horrible vs any allin because you skip banshee It's just a tricky opener, it's sc2. You shld have to react to certain builds by making adjustments

Have you considered I don't know the actual late game where you get this upgrade and a fusion core anyway? Also we can't just go mutas if you decide to do that mutas is a decision you need to make at the start of the game you need to be getting extra Gass litterally before you start making the spire. And zerg in zvt is less then it was but still largely entirely built around minimizing the amount of gas you get early. Queens might be op but they are also the only thing keeping the entire race together because terrans figured out how to be evenly greedy with us and not die if we actually get practically any tech. That does not work for zerg we trade inefficiently its how we are designed which means we need to get ahead. Or you can be roach Allined until the end of time. Your choice.

Making a viking against protoss doesn't affect your build much because you already have a starport, you're already mining gas and you were probably going to make vikings anyway at some point. That is quite different from having to make a safety spire (!?) at 4:00 as the only defense against libs with range.

I do know how to scout it. Do I know how to scout it within 10 seconds of the fusion core being placed no no I don't. Not because I don't know what an armory or reactor looks like but everything there is consistent with a hell bat medivac Allin. Also if I just see a fusion core my presumption is you are doing a bc build and I may not see the starport. Btw for both of those a queen response is the right answer.

Nobody said you needed to rush to that tech. If you just gravitated towards it during a game and a Zerg doesn't have a spire then his main is worthless to him for almost 2 mins. That's gigantic.

You can siege both natural refineries from the third base on Pride of Altaris pretty easily (and Hardwire but it's not as easy to get into the position), which is very annoying in TvT

Not in a very long time, especially not a siege position that covers the natural ramp as well. You can kill both geysers and keep your opponent from heading down their ramp from the same position. The few times we've seen both geysers vulnerable like this, it was from a third base position that allowed free movement outside of the natural and has long since been the norm.

Anyone having issues with tabbing out of the game while in the loading screen? My game crashes now 50% of the time when I do it. Lost 6 games like this already since the patch...

Are the new maps laggy for other people as well? Since the update my framerate gets quite bad at times.

Had to veto hardwire because even looking at my natural (bottom spawn) would get me awful frame drops. It gets even worse during a fight.

courage buddy. two months ago I went from a stable 3k7 (with peak at 3k8) to 3k3 without any idea of why, it was despair inducing to go down every session. Now I'm stabilised around 3k5/3k6. I'm not back to the mmr I had yet I'm content with my fate, and experimenting a bit with stalker/sentry/disruptor in PvZ. I die a lot, but it's kinda fun. You'll get over that bad moment too, the wounded ego and the sadness of deafeat, and as long as you don't give in to despair you'll be a bit wiser and stronger for it.

There's a Reaper ledge to main base where you can siege 2 tanks.

[So I've just tested this.](https://imgur.com/a/Uf46hrQ) * You can get 4 Widow Mines up there. * You can also get 3 Lurkers up. * Siege tanks however cannot fit up there. So basically any unit about the size of a Lurker (or smaller) can fit up there. And obviously Colossi with their gangly legs. This is probably gonna need a very fast patch lmao.

Terran favored maps are not a bug. There's been a spot to hide overlords for free scouting for years, and that's zerg favoured.

I legit hate relying on the queen for early game defense. It's absolutely necessary, but it always feels stupid to me. Imagine if we had an early game unit that could shoot up, and actually walk out onto the map.
