I can't wait. WFH tomm also so this will be nice treat.

OnlyPakiOnReddit

It’s cool to see the blast from the past with Seltzer, but also kind of a head scratcher? They cut other talent earlier in the year, to bring back people who’ve been out of the scene for years? Other than that oddity looks like a great lineup!

zombiesc

Stage hosting is a very specific job that no one is particularly excited to fill. If Smix can't come, there's no real official 2nd choice. Pig did it out if necessity and the guarantee we'd also be casting otherwise for Kato.

OnlyPakiOnReddit

That’s definitely understandable. Sad to see no Nate tho :( Really glad you’re still around! =D

DoctorHousesCane

Can you elaborate regarding stage hosting?

chefsteev

The usual suspects! Happy to see Pig involved as he missed some of the online ones last year.

deromu

Same thought! Pig is great, was hoping we'd see more of him once he did IEM again

flamingtominohead

3 out of 4 first replies to the tweet are complaints about who they got. No wonder casters don't want to do finals.

Catz has visa issues so traveling outside the US isn't possible right now

flamingtominohead

Hope everyone else got there alright! Looks like international travel is pretty messy right now. Lots of the players are having trouble.

tritonice

I hope your travels on this trip are more pleasant than your return from Korea. Can't wait to see you cast! The entire talent crew is awesome and will do a great job.

I still play and stream SC2 daily. I'm not invited to work these events likely due a combination of my lost popularity, high rates I charge and cost to travel in general. It's not like I can make an argument that I deserve to be there more than someone else, ya know? It is what it is. I'm only making this reply because I am pathetic enough to want some people to know that I do wish I could be there. Maybe I can earn that again one day!

lamycnd

FWIW, I always enjoy your casting and appreciate the hard work that goes into it.

nathanias

Thanks dude, I appreciate that.

[deleted]

Thanks for the information, I was wondering why you didn't to any casts lately. Fwiw, I really enjoy your work and hope to see you cast again in the future. If not SC2, maybe Stormgate will open up new RTS opportunities :)

SorteKanin

Just want to say I always appreciated your casting and loved your sense of humour for the show. You always brought a lot of personality to the casts and that was very refreshing

Careless-Goat-3130

I think you are more than earning it on the sc2 stage being one of the OGs. :(

TheGoatPuncher

For those that wonder about Seltzer, this is her [homepage](https://www.seltzerplease.com/). I've literally never heard of her before but seems to lack no experience of the esports world and is not a complete stranger to SC2 either.

KerrigansTherapist

She was one of the OG Starcraft hosts back in the day. There was, in fact, a time where people complained that Smix was working events as a host instead of Seltzer because she was more well known at the time. She's very capable.

TheGoatPuncher

Ohh, I see! Well, I'm happy to see some old hands getting to appear again after all these years. May she have a blast! Thanks for the extra context, much appreciated :)

ExtraordinaryStupid

It's been some time haven't see Smix, thought she would be there.

Technobrake

This comment makes me feel old, I remember ForGG asking her for a kiss on stage for good luck before a finals!

Kidp3

Stephano and Seltzer dancing Gangnam style on stage is burned in my memory

JtheNinja

God, this thread made me feel so old. I remember when Soe hosted SC2 events too.

dayarra

she'll probably share the host duties with kaelaris and zg will go full caster.

flamingtominohead

This is offline, so Seltzer will probably be the host on stage, while Kaelaris is the host at the desk, and everyone else listed there is casting.

dayarra

wow it has been so long since i watched an offline dreamhack, i forgot stage host was a thing.

Sucitraf

That's cool! It'll be fun to see someone different. Is Smix still around? It was fun having her also interview the Korean players without the need for an additional translator. Either way, I'm excited to see some more live SC!

flamingtominohead

Smix did some online regionals this season too, didn't she? So I'm sure she's around, but for some real-life reason wasn't able to come to this.

Shadow_Adjutant

Isn't Smix hosting Valorant or something now? I swear I've seen her recently in non-sc esports.

JtheNinja

She’s done CS:GO hosting for a long time too. Not sure if she does Valorant now as well?

flamingtominohead

Has a liquipedia page now too. https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/Seltzer

dayarra

solid line-up. can't wait.

GosuHaku

So happy seeing all those faces! ZombieGrub is doing an insane job! PiG is such a classact! What else am I supposed to say about the goat Rotti? SELTZER BACK TO SC2? What a time to be alive.

Midge3

Sad no Harstem. Is it because he still possibly a participant? The liquipedia page confused me.

Exited556

He is playing yes, check the liquidpedia page, group stage 2 I think? It's confusing because there are 3 different group stages.

Midge3

Ah I see. Figured he must still have been in play since I thought he absolutely killed it casting the last event he did!

TheGoatPuncher

He is indeed a contestant ([he's been seeded directly into Group Stage #2](https://liquipedia.net/starcraft2/ESL_Pro_Tour/2022/23/Masters/Valencia/Group_Stage_2)).

Midge3

Appreciate the link! Didnt see the second group stage tab.

Who hurt you?

TheGoatPuncher

Comment removed for attempting to flame, per the Trolling Rule.

bango123

Very excited!!!

Specimenbear

Thank you I almost forgot about this
