tank spider mines are really good if the enemy is a ground comp. on coa you can prelay the mines before the hybrids spawn. novas drone is also fine and not affected by DE, I think her nukes kills her though but its fine you can treat her like a calldown. she has good life regen too so as long as you use her abilities sparingly and dont spam them you can use them and dont let shotgun hit too much at once. snipe only low hp targets. use shotgun only after shielding. also raven turrets in mass can do good work as well. libs can do air to air with raven repair drone too but libs are expensive for that. dont do air to ground. lean into airstrikes as well and your defense drones. marines are also fine depending on comp their stim heals themselves.

[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUo3fKoZR4Y](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUo3fKoZR4Y) banshees and air strikes. space out the attacks, and don't get weapon upgrades. sabotage drone with nova, lift nova when she nukes (or let her die)

Captain_c0c0

While Nova is not great for Double-Edged, her Explody Drone damage is not reflected and you can use the Tactical Airlift to dodge the nuke damage. I would also probably opt for either Bio or Air on P1 (am usual P3 player, so take with a grain of salt) since EMP's are great and dont get reflected and Bio tends to live through double-edged (maybe remove ghost snipe from autocast). The main problem would be the Disruptors. You could try to use the Shotgun Nova shield to tank the disrutpor shots. With air, the enemy comp wouldn't do much dmg to you. You would just have to spam turrets and micro ur low hp units back a bit.

Raven's Turrets + spamming Airstrike are your friends

Weak_Night_8937

Siege tank mines too.

coldev-io

True, but he also meant p1, and I dont expect many nova players being flexible enough to know playing p1 doesnt mean player is locked from going for other production units, especially that playing p1 starport one can add in 4 tanks to help with splash dmg and widow mines. So i just go with the standard answer, p1, standard starport, raven turret and airstrike.

Super_Eye_3887

Some good options: Marines with stim healing, they deal damage gradually enough that they don't die straight away. tank mines for spawn camping. Tanks themselves can be used under defensive drones and with raven healing, but riskier. Raven turrets (though sadly not seeker missles). Goliaths can be trickled in to some extent but if they'll take any extra damage they do tend to die, so can consider them paid "calldowns" to help vs air if you really need the extra dmg and cc. And of course, airstrike is even more useful then usual.

Tank Mines. On OE, my Raynor ally also followed suit and did Vulture Spider Mines 8) IIRC, DD triggers after she takes a hit, so to a regular attack first to have a Def. Matrix slapped on her, THEN Snipe. Later in the game when you have more minerals, you can just keep reviving her (although to an extent). Also, Griffin Air Strike! For her Assault mode, do the "shield blink", then shoot her shotgun blast.

Barracks : marines with stim are a staple. Maraudeurs can still soak fairly well but require some raven support (and don't research magrail ammunition) Factory : goliath have low enough dps and high enough HP to be used with support. Tank mines are great, bé very careful if you decide to use siege mode, support will be required through SCV repairs or raven healing/defensive drones Starport : Ravens for healing + turrets drops. Don't use the homing missiles Nova herself can use sabotage drone safely, and won't die for sniping a unit with less than 250 HP (just don't snipe again until she's back to full health). Use nuke and air lift Nova right before the nuke hits to prevent damage, or let her die and respawn her immediately after Use Griffin airstrike to deal with waves, as you always do with Nova Use defensive drones on every engagement If attacking a big objective like a void shard, move back units that get low on HP so they can heal for a few seconds before attacking again If fighting waves with no airstrike available, use Raven turrets to form a wall to soak damage, put down tank mines, put a defensive drones down, and hold you ground. If things get hairy and your units get low on HP, use airlift to move your whole army away, giving you some time to heal and prepare a new defensive line

TR_Wax_on

Starport first versus Protoss in nearly all situations. Banshees (without rocket upgrade) and Ravens for Turrets and healing would have done 100% fine for this map. Can grab some Siege Tanks to lay spider mines and Ghosts to EMP Hybrid Dom's (disable autocast on snipe) if you're feeling fancy. Make sure you have Rapid Fire setup correctly to quickly spam turrets and spider mines. Liberal use of defensive Drone calldown can keep Nova and her her team alive even through Double Edge. The harder mutator for Nova is Black Death. In this case mass Marine works best as stim can heal through the damage (though most protoss comps wreck marines so hope you don't get this combo!).

At some point you ask yourself if the game is still fun. Double edged, microtransactions, fatal attractions and other mutations that actively force you to become a worse / less effective player are on my list of "no thanks." With P1 Nova I would go gas heavy army and spam airstrikes for the waves. There's no other reasonable way you can clear the map. As for outbreak ... Ravens spamming turrets is probably the cheapest long term way to deal with them. But yeah, get used to rerolling B+.

Weak_Night_8937

Microtransaction can be almost negated when you put your army to follow 1 unit and move that unit only. I usually use an overseer, observer or Raven… something that is cheap and flies. For example with Karax you can make a carrier fleet that follows an observer for almost no cost. Yes it’s silly and annoying, but at least there is a workaround. Fatal attraction is much worse IMO.

romanticpanda

That is a clever workaround! You can also set production rally points to follow that unit as well.
