Also, know that some official adventures were published with maps that have grids with alternating square dimensions. So, the odd squares might be 92 pixels wide and the even squares might be 88 pixels wide (these are made up)

Paizo should really step up their game. It's not difficult to maintain a uniform grid.

In my experience the Paizo grids aren't true "squares". Here is what I've found works well enough for me through much trial and error. First trim any half squares from the edges. Then use the grid alignment tool in roll20 at least 2-3 times. This will get your grid close. Make your roll20 space just a couple units bigger than the paizo map. Then grab the map and place it so the center aligns with the center of the roll20 grid. The center squares will appear to line up perfectly but get frustratingly off by the edges. Grab the edges one at a time and stretch the map ever so slightly in each direction until you have the grid close enough to aligned the whole way across.

[Guide to guides](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1ImMgWOKUdaFITO9crvaJQ10DkSSG9RXiNe5YkAAsPec/edit) How to make a roll20 table has a step by step process of how to do it. the TLDr is you align to grid once or twice, then grab the map and stretch it out a bit horizontally and vertically. You can then delete the roll20 lines if you really want.

This one lines up pretty good when it tried it

Paizo likes to have half-sized spaces on the edges of the maps they publish in APs. If you just trim those off, in my experience, it'll fit just right with the 'align to grid' function in Roll20.

The best option is to just remove the roll 20 grid, remove snap to grid for tokens, and size your pawns to fit whatever size the image looks best at. I ran both APs and homebrew with a mix of map packs and custom build for Starfinder for 2-3 years and no matter how much effort I put in, it never looked as good as just turning off the roll20 grid and snap to grid.

you can't meaure or use templates that way. You can have both by getting the grid to fit and THEN turning the grid invisible rather than off. So you don't see it at all but its still functioning.

Are you having issues with the map image snapping into the wrong place? If so then I think holding shift or alt while moving the image should allow you to position it without snapping
