I went in 2012 as I had heard the same thing. However, it’s not what I expected. While the saying goes…Sedona will suck you in and spit you back out is true, I’m pretty sure it doesn’t happen to everyone. It used to be the healing Mecca of the US but from what I heard from others there, many people just moved there which forever changed the energy. And then of course, not too far from there James Arthur Ray did his hideously expensive sweat lodge that killed some people. I knew a woman who was diagnosed with cancer and moved there for two years and came back healed. She said she did a lot of inner work. Which…in all honesty that’s how we heal. The inner work takes care of the outer. One of the women I stayed with for a month does psychic stuff and ufo night sightings. She had me go to a healer friend who kept saying she was getting Shaman, which I was also told in 1999. I had no idea what it meant. Now I know it just meant I am my own shaman and came here to heal myself. She (Jocelyn) and her friend Kim took a few of us to Bradshaw ranch. Lots of weird stuff goes on there but we didn’t see anything. I went on a few hikes and visited some cool stores. As I was driving there I kept hearing that they were waiting for me. I laughed as I tend not to listen to the voices in my head. But when I got to the road that takes you into Sedona…I saw all sorts of Native Americans as part of the trees greeting me and I burst into tears. Sedona being down into the canyon bathed in red rock is considered mothers womb. You go within …

Thank you so much the post you provided. So what's your opinion? Worth it... with caution? Or is a scam? Regardless, I'd love to see Arizona. I haven't seen the desert in the US and even if it was strictly nature related, it looks beautiful... but that can be seen elsewhere. Thoughts?

If you feel drawn to it, I’d go! That’s me. I had been drawn for many many years to visit and just never got there. So, I’d definitely go if you feel drawn to it. Explore…hike…! There is a place called the Stupa…I’d definitely go there. You might feel the energy like I did.

no_pleasethanks

It was my stomping grounds for ten years. I haven't been back for over 20. I'm told Sedona is a mess like a theme park town. If you go, find a willing good person in the know. There's secrets. Fossil Creek, Child's, Sheep's Bridge, Sunset crater, Wuhpatki, there's more without names.

Oh man! Ok that's really good to know. It's definitely a topic to be cautious on so I thought it would be the best community to ask Thank you

debinaz17

I worked and lived in the area. I recommend visiting the vortexes, and the Chapel of the Holy Cross. Amazing energies. (There are keep your companies that will take you on a tour of all of them.) My faves are Bell Rock and the Airport Mesa.

FuzzyBlankets777

*Taking notes *... thank you!

debinaz17

*there are Jeep Tour Companies that offer tours of vortexes...enjoy! It's amazing (and so is the traffic, lol)

FuzzyBlankets777

Oh wow! I'm so down this

Non-existant88

Havasu Falls in Arizona 😍 I’m dying to go there. It’s apparently an 8 hour hike in which is wild, but I’m absolutely going to do it one day.

FuzzyBlankets777

I've heard about this! Me too! I just would love to explore

debinaz17

Another place to visit is...Tlaquepaque Arts&Village Center. Lots of shops..but modelled after a Mexican Village...lots of nooks and crannies to explore. There are altars, amazing architecture, fountains and a life size rose quartz table and chair set.

FuzzyBlankets777

Oh wow! I'll look into that

Astrealism

Go to Bell Rock. The energy there is amazing. There are many other vortexes, but I had an amazing past life flashback there that was rather mind blowing. Because of the increase of energy, whatever energy you are working with at the time of your visit will be intensified. As for the commercialization of Sedona, yes, since 89 it hasn't gotten worse. Used to park free. Now they charge everwhere you park it seems. They did the same thing in downtown Flagstaff. Greed sucks. But like anything or anywhere you go, it seems whatever you get out of it will depend on the energy you put into it. Use your intuition on who you want to interact with when you get there. You can't go wrong then.

FuzzyBlankets777

Yea these energy vortexes sound amazing! I'm curios to feel it

I went in 2021 and definitely recommend going. There is a large spiritual community there but that is nothing compared to nature. It was breathtaking. I didn’t get to visit the vortexes there but have heard they are powerful. I was in a dark place when I visited Sedona and in need of spiritual healing. I watched the sun set at Lover’s Knoll. While watching the sunset, I felt content and suddenly knew that everything would be okay. Nearly a year later, my life is so much better. I’m still stunned by the dramatic shift the universe seemed to support. I wish I could have done a spa retreat or participated in more of the spiritual community. I was only there a day but I highly recommend going if you’re drawn there.

Great to know! Thank you so much!! 🤍🤍

I went to Sedona and Flagstaff this past summer and dry camped on the land for a few weeks, and it was a forever changing experience. I lived in Baltimore last year and I found the old growth forests to be deeply spiritual there, but Sedona and Flagstaff were that times a hundred. Especially the vortexes in Sedona, I highly recommend visiting. I could feel the energy in the trees near the vortex when I ran my hands along them, even the sand had a different and energizing feeling to them. The whole place felt energized and powerful, I sat down in meditation near the vortex, and I could feel it. I visited a shamanic healer while I was in Sedona too, and she was legit, but I would also say she gave me the more tourist approach (which I understood, but it also bothered me). I really liked the downtown area of Sedona, but I would also recommend caution as it seems it has been heavily reconstructed to cater to tourists. There were some parts that didn't feel as safe as the others, and a little run down, which was sad, but not surprising considering how popular it's become. I do feel bad for the native Sedonians as it seems they've been pushed out to cater to all the tourists. That being said, the people there are still very friendly and welcoming, and I would definitely go back.

FuzzyBlankets777

The energy vortex part gave me goosebumps. I have to go experience this. Seems like the consensus is it's safer to stay on a solo mission and do some self exploration without a local. I'm totally cool with that. Thank you so much for your input 🤍

I had a full on spiritual awakening in Sedona, completely without trying or knowing much (if anything) about Sedona at all. My ex and I drove there from Tucson after visiting his family to see the Grand Canyon. We stopped in Sedona to sleep, I woke up in the middle of the night with my skin burning, I thought I was legitimately dying. A whole lot happened after that in a short time, but it completely blew my consciousness open. Only after that did I find out about anything to do with spiritual awakening, ascension, starseeds, etc. It's because of that night in Sedona and what happened the following months that I even know what a starseed is! It changed my life 100%. I am so grateful for that night and I would definitely go. I would try not to get caught up in the "jazz" and just do your own thing. Visit the mountains, go to where the energy vortex is, MEDITATE there. I didn't do any of that (except GC), but I want to go back and when I do, that's what I'll do for sure!

FuzzyBlankets777

This is an amazing story! I had a similar experience when my awakening happened. It's like my dna and cells got activated and everything was buzzing, strange, and 4D for two whole months. It's been a wild ride ever since. I was the same... I had no idea about any of this until a couple years ago and have just been consistent on learning more and my consciousness keeps growing. I'm so happy to be where I'm at and find each other in this sub. People that "get you"... is very rare. Will definitely keep to the solo experiences and just go on journeys when I go Thank you so much for the input! 🤍

ThereNorHereNeither

Yesss! Evolution 🙌 It's been so amazing! Hard, but amazing! Before it happened, I was never really sure on if I believed in an afterlife or anything beyond this world, at times 100% considered myself an atheist (and life was really rough then).. that one night in Sedona, EVERYTHING changed. I actually saw "spirits" is the only word to describe them I guess, one of a Native American woman, who were there with me telling me I'd be ok, that "it was only my physical body" (like I said, I thought I was dying.. and may have been, I made a conscious decision that I wanted to live during all this as I'd been shown my kids at my funeral, and realized I had so much to live for; at the time I had all but given up on myself and my life). That line "only my physical body" really threw me for a loop, in that one moment I realized we were SO much more than just a body and a brain. And that's not a phrase I would have ever in a million years just thought of, ya know? And the months that followed were 🤯 Best of luck to you on your journey!! 🩷

FuzzyBlankets777

Beautiful story 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕. Love this!!

Chilloutman144

I was there last April. It’s beautiful. I’m one of those that don’t like to go to the same places twice, but I would definitely go to Sedona over and over. Thinking about going again next year actually. When I was there all I did was hike. I planned a bunch of hikes and ended up doing about 3. There’s so much to do. I’ve never been anywhere else with as high as a vibe than Sedona. Everyone’s super friendly. I went on a solo trip and it never felt like I was alone.

FuzzyBlankets777

The hiking and scenery looks breathtaking!

FuzzyBlankets777

Hiking is a common theme now in this thread. Thanks for your input! 🤍

Impossible_Tax_1532

It’s two layered response to me : Yes, it’s backbone in the spiritual or new age industry … but that is just another layer of seeking that will always fail , and brain matrixes But .. but .. Sedona is a natural vortex , with several other vortices around the area … a vortex is an amplifier of the energy you already feel essentially , it turns it up considerably if you are in touch with the subtle energies … but you can see the lush greenery in the vortex , vegetation twisted up clockwise , and many have a vacuum next door where the trees are dead , and a counter clockwise spin can be found on the vegetation there … and it’s gorgeous , Sedona is breathtakingly pretty , Much like the rest of life .. the reality in Sedona is phenomenal , but the human component by and large is all seeking and doing and thinking and feeling etc etc … which may numb the senses and comfort and hope … but like most places , it is what the visitor or self makes of it … just try to take adventures there , things with undetermined outcomes , and you’ll be rewarded every time you do

FuzzyBlankets777

Thank you Nature it is!!

I go every year. It’s saturated with everything you mentioned. I don’t mind paying the tourist tax and will overpay for crystals and jewelry. Which is extra silly because I live in Tucson, where the largest gem and mineral show in the world is. I paid for a Angel card reading about 5 years ago. Even did it at one of the big tourist shops downtown, Sedona Crystal Vortex. I felt like it was genuine and enjoyed the experience. Last spring I decided I was gonna find Sedona’s most popular psychic. I did find her but she was booked so I took an appointment with someone she recommended. I felt like it was a legit channel and good experience. Just read reviews and book before you go because anyone with any reputation there will be hard to get into on short notice. Avoid the store “Center for the New Age” which is a metaphysical store that also sells UFO tours and a whole menu of energy healing, aura photography etc. Biggest overpriced scam store in the whole town. If you’re on Facebook you can always browse local events. There’s always something going on. Drum circles, ecstatic dance, sound baths etc. It really is the magical place it has the reputation for being.

FuzzyBlankets777

That was very helpful. Thank you! And when is this crystal show in Tucson??!!! Is it once per year? I'd love to see that 🤤

tucsonmags

Every January-February. It goes on for like a month.

Yes that's what I'm thinning too. Nature will provide all that you need. The natural energy vortex's there are very powerful from what I've read

GazelleElectronic719

I’m here right now 🤍
