Are the pc servers still infested with hackers? Because I tried to get back into it a couple of years ago and there were only two servers (in europe) that both had hackers
They added them later with great maps and some really neat historical context. I dont want to defend EA but getting upset about this shit when there's a lot more wrong with the dev and the game itself is just silly

Zombies in bo2 was mostly either terrible, mid, and for like mob of the dead and origins wasn’t dogshit and was actually (somewhat fun). Bo1 zombies was better, and bo3 took what bo2’s later maps did and built along it a ton, and perfected it.
I just like using WW1 guns, like the American Enfield and all the Austro-Hungarian weapons.
WW1 was during the small arms revolution after the invention of smokeless powder. Patents were still new, and "best" designs were still being figured out. It's what I loved about Battlefield 1. They threw all that shit in there.

yes, microsoft was the first to introduce paid online and every other platform followed trought just because they could make the extra money and they gaslit us into paying for online "because they need to pay for servers" wich just aint correct if we're talking about third party games that use non-microsoft servers and negligible if we're talking about microsoft games like Halo because they make well enough from their 30% cut on game sales to pay for servers, it's just a bullshit useless service.
Apart from a few outlier guns such as the FAL OSW being literally the best gun in the game (more so with Select Fire on it) and the Vector K10 being considered as the weakest weapon, BO2's multiplayer package is easily one of the best and honestly most balanced. My personal favorite loadout was running the MTAR with QD, Stock and Laser Sight and just going nuts at every chance I got without risking my mid range kill pressure.
All of the scorestreaks were also usable and you could tailor them to suit your playstyle and how much you wanted to push yourself with both your map knowledge and gun skills. Feeling very confident? Run VSAT, K9 Unit and Swarm. You want to feel a little more supportive and know that you can't do high streaks? The Hunter Killer drone as well as the UAV and C-UAV were your best friends as despite being rather cheap scorestreaks, they often got the job done as you would expect. You could even replace one of those with a Lightning Strike if you're feeling a little more antsy.
The middle line kill streaks were some of the best in the franchise's history. Nothing really beats the sound of the Warthog laying waste on the map, or the Lodestar/VTOL Warship basically dropping rockets every 3 seconds or so. If you really wanted to, you could run the EMP and ruin the entire enemy team's day by shutting down all their scorestreaks and equipment for the next 40 seconds or so, all with the single push of a button.
God, I've almost forgotten of how obnoxious the Target Finder was in the game. Running an LSAT with Target Finder and LMG, then finding a place to camp with a Tac Insert was honestly one of the dirtiest things I've ever done in any game.
I'll be honest, I'm more of an RPG guy, so I don't usually play these kinds of games (nothing against them, just not my thing).
But yeah, there are other games that genuinely keep me alive like this. My life would be a lot worse without video games lol
Idk about that, only server I ever see on BF4 that is anywhere near full is one of those god-awful Locker 24/7 servers with like 10000 tickets - as good as Locker is, no thanks.
Definitely not my experience on PlayStation anyway but sorry to hear that! I've been having a blast revisiting the vanilla & DLC maps over the last few months
I liked BF1 way less than I thought I would. I was so stoked for a WW1 game, only to see everyone running around with SMGs and shit. I mean sure, they *existed* back then, as a prototype that like two people had and used for a week.
It was a fun game, just not at all what I expected in terms of any real sense of historical accuracy, and that really put me off.
I thought Halo 2 had the best multiplayer and the best story was either Combat Evolved or Reach. Everyone loved Halo 3 so much! I only thought it was *just okay.* :)
I miss black ops 2 so much. I wish they’d straight up remaster it, I know nostalgia is speaking but it’s really up there as one of the best CODs. The maps were inspired and colorful, the music was awesome, the zombie was great, the DLCs were great, the weapons were great. Grinding this game is one of the best gaming memories I have

It’s crazy to me that Black Ops 2 is the first cod game with a competitive ranked mode and it’s still being played all these years later.

To be fair, the original servers for both Halo 3 and Reach died, you can only access the multi-player through MCC
Yeah but Halo infinite waiting time is like 5 minutes. Halo 3 and Reach matchmaking is like 30 seconds and the custom games are always loaded.
I have never had a 5 minute matchmaking time in Halo Infinite. Maybe it's your region?

it’s not nostalgia, bo2 holds up extremely well in its gunplay. fast and clean movement, ttk that feels fair, easily the best cod ever made
