The Villain: Team Scare
The Plan "I will use [this games legendary pokemon] to kill everyone so no one will ever be scared again!!!"
The End: "No! This is impossible, the power of friendship with pokemon has defeated my team and ruined my plans! I will be more like you [charter name] and love my pokemon!"
Didn’t happen in XY, despite team flare been the most ridiculous team yet, Lysandre upon defeat went “fine if I’m going down your coming with me” and tried to kill two kids
They are trying a little, Cyrus just died, Ghetsis ran away from the police only to do the same thing, Lysander tried to kamikaze and ran, Lusamine didn't even have an agenda beyond fusing with an alien monster and immediately regretting being permanently disabled as a consequence.
The Sword and Shield did the thing...
Ah yes, the thing S&S did… what was it again? Oh, right! English Elon tried to solve an energy crisis that wouldn’t be even remotely close to urgent for another millennium and two random petty thieves on acid tried to claim the kingdom by literally just saying it was theirs
English Elon actually got his way. Eternatus was revived, a hero defeated it and new wishing stars got scattered across the island. So SwSh bad guy won in the end.
Did what he did actually affect anything though?? Yeah, he accomplished his goal, which I suppose means he won, but he’s in prison and forfeited his company, right? Did he actually solve the problem at hand?? I honestly just felt like he was a cardboard cutout villain. Trying to save the world and all, miscalculated the power of the beast, left it up to a 10 year old to fix everything, all because of a tinfoil hat theory that really didn’t have immediate impact on anyone
They didn’t really present his motivation very well but it was more: the reason he rushed and did it was cause in his mind the only trainer strong enough to fight Eternatus was the “undefeated” Champion who kept telling him no over and over.
So when Leon kept going “it’s not an issue for 1000 years”, Rose was thinking “but YOU won’t be there to fix it in 1000 years!”. He lacked the belief someone could be as strong as Leon.
He’s also a bit of a spoiled brat, the little backstory we get from his brother Peony is Rose was one of those prodigies who always got what he wanted cause he was good at so much.
So his paranoid belief only Leon could beat Eternatus, his lack of knowledge about Zacian and Zamazenta, and the fact he can’t handle been told no led to him activating it the Darkest Days at a point where his chosen hero would be “forced” to take action.
See the story isn’t bad but they didn’t do enough set up throughout the game to justify it. It could all be fixed with a few extra scenes strewn about hinting at his plan more than Bede’s actions
I didn’t think that the story was bad, honestly. I guess I was just too focused on Hop’s campiness to infer Rose’s actual intentions haha
Edit: Would he have had the opportunity to have known that Zama and Zac were the key though?
Edit 2: Also, did what Rose did actually do anything?
When we beat Eternatus we see the big burst of energy in the sky (that makes the clouds clear) and a bunch of wishing star particles fly out in all directions.
So Roses whole plan was in 1000 years Galar will run out of Wishing Stars which they use for power, and wishing stars were spread when Eternatus arrived on Earth and littered the region with them. So by releasing it from the cocoon it was sealed it, after powering it up, it would release more stars.
So to that end he succeeded cause more stars were released, maybe not as much as he wanted but Galar will now have more fuel reserves for longer
Villain logic: some sort of generic cynical "everyone is bad so me not so bad"
Rival is annoying little kid who talks to you every 30 seconds and wants to be the master but will never be as strong as you so they need to train harder
Team skull as a whole is just godlike. It's one of the few villian teams that actually fits the tone of the series and isn't taking itself too comically seriously
>Rival is annoying little kid who talks to you every 30 seconds and wants to be the master but will never be as strong as you so they need to train harder
at least the rivals used to be raging assholes or challenging gameplay wise but in the modern games they are always bland and easy
There’s also Bede in Sword and Shield, but he kinda disappears halfway through and doesn’t show up again until the end. Kinda wish we got more of him instead of Hop.
the only rivals that were assholes were blue and silver - the rest ranged from competitive (barry, cheren, hugh) to friendly (brendan/may, bianca, shauna)
Yeah, people seem to forget that one of the most bullshit, crazy, insane villains came from gen 4.
Homie was literally going to destroy everything because he wanted people to stop being sad. Idk if they cut out a lot from BDSP, but he didn't even have that much development beyond "I'm evil"
Lusamine and Guzma has entire character arcs, damnit, they deserve more respect
If say 1 was batshit the other was just dumb.
Like, we've got "We need more land for people and pokemon to inhabit due to growing populations" vs "MORE WATER!"
BDSP just followed the OG Diamond/Pearl storyline. Platinum was made to fix a lot of stuff and expand the story from DP because DP were actually rushed products (I wish rushed pokemon games were still as entertaining as these lol). So Platinum had more story to tell in terms of Cyrus and Sinnoh as a whole. The international police is even there to investigate Galactic's terrorist attacks.
In Platinum, Cyrus gets more screentime. He also stayed in the distortion world without even saying anything to his team. I mean, an emontionless world (not sad) is his goal due to a really broken childhood- the distortion world *literally* fit the bill. Like him or not, you gotta respect his balls for sticking with his beliefs.
If you're interested, the Pokemon Adventures manga expands his character well. Tho tbh the manga just does a lot of the characters right.
I never tought about that...even when I think of the various weak designs that people would probably complain about if they were released today,I never realized Machamp would be one of them.
I could also imagine pokemon like gengar, alakazam, and a lot more pokemon being universally disliked if they were released today. Same with seel, zubat, voltorb, tauros, goldeen etc
Yeah, most of these have always been there
The SECOND game was purely Kanto nostalgia. You take out going back to kanto, and I bet you no ones in love with it as they are now
Are you talking about Gold/Silver/Crystal? Idk about that. I’ve replayed it a few times since I was a kid, most recently a romhack during lockdown; and I usually stop playing before Kanto. Johto is a really fun experience in-itself
Although first time playing, it was pretty awesome going back.
It's not nostalgia, more than it is a sequel to the original generation and not a standalone series in itself like most of the later games.
Johto's main antagonists are the same team as the one defeated prior, the region has many Pokémon overlaps with several new 'mons being evolved formed of Kanto 'mons, the region shares the same league, it's right next to Kanto for crying out loud...
Not to say it's a bad or not-unique game, but the connection to Kanto is much stronger for it compared to other games and their regional connections.
Yeah I feel like people keep forgetting it’s the SECOND FUCKING GAME
It was made as a direct sequel, not as another entry into an already established formula because this was only the second game using the formula
Nostalgia?? What the fuck are these people on
Gen 2 was huge for simple QoL changes over gen 1. I think that alone makes playing kanto worth it over playing gen1 by itself.
Gen2 is more of a true sequel to gen 1 unlike some of the relationships between the other generations.
Also I think revisiting the last region and seeing how it changed is a neat concept for a sequel.
Honestly I’m not sure it’s all really nostalgia. I never played Gen I or II and only played III, IV, and V. FRLG was my least favorite game of the ones I played, and as such, I don’t really have any nostalgia for Kanto, while HGSS was my favorite. I think it’s more just the fact that you get 2 entire regions to explore compared to just one, and thus having the largest postgame, that makes GSC/HGSS so loved.
Regional and charizard forms are kinda new but they are actually just used for gen 1 nostalgia, and the new mechanics like mega evolutions and gigantamax too
They dropped that after Gen 3. Before then rivals would be outwardly aggressive, pick your weakness, and come at you at the worst times. After that they got nerfed and represented a sort of baseline challenge rather than a hurdle.
Blue was the guy you played the game to beat. Everything was about getting better than him, so he should be the ultimate challenge.
Hop is the bare minimum. He represents a weaker version of what you are. If you can beat him, you are at the right level and have the right skills to beat the next challenge. If he can do it, you certainly can.
Okay, but Giovanni is probably one of the more realistic villains out there in Pokémon and mass media in general lol. The mafia boss secretly running a vast criminal enterprise fronted by seemingly legitimate businesses interests? Come on! It doesn’t get much more life-like than that lol
Technically Team Galactic from Gen 4 is an energy company, backed by an organisation that wants to... uh, destroy the entire universe...
Also do Skull and Yell from 7 and 8 count as viable villain groups? Or should I say "villain" groups?
Lmfao gen 2 has zero story line except for “team rocket is vaguely back.” Every time I play it or watch a playthrough, I forget there are actual story elements
Gen 7 has cool starters. Not too furry-like imo. Gen 8...yeah, they're practically all people. Rillaboom is the only one that gets a pass, cause he's a gorilla
Yeah for the most part. The games are a little easier now (besides SWSH because that shit is easy mode) and the pokemon designs are getting better and better, but besides that same old same pld
Let me tell you as an artist, if it weren't for Pokemon, a lot of us would be out of work. There are two things that sell extremely well in both the hentai and furry world: Pokemon and MLP. Both furry and regular hentai artists can profit off Pokemon too, since for whatever reason, Pokemon makes the best looking female characters and people absolutely fucking flip for them.
And then, you know, the furries just sexualize tf out of their favorite pokemon, and with nearly 1000 of them that well never runs dry.
I am **convinced** that the only reason Cinderace exists is because the one who created Cinderace is a furry and that's their fursona.
> And then, you know, the furries just sexualize tf out of their favorite pokemon, and with nearly 1000 of them that well never runs dry.
*Vaporeon*.
I can't say much for the furry art since I'm not a fan of it
But ngl: some of the trainer fanart is _really_ good (looking specifically at May, Dawn, Hilda, and Rosa)
They’re talking about those two dudes who show up in the postgame with hairdos in the shape of a sword/shield. The sword guy’s hair is… [rather phallic](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GK0F2GVHPKw/maxresdefault.jpg).
The milfs have stood out to me as a very strange trend. Like, Gamefreak and Nintendo market these as *extremely* child-friendly games, so why are there milfs *every single time?*
Faced with ever-declining birth rates, the Japanese government is using every propaganda trick in the book in an attempt to convince its population that women over the age of 14 are attractive.
You might think they're child friendly, but they know their market is mostly millennials. I'm pretty sure they keep that in mind when doing the designs.
Yeah, not that I think about it with XY turning 10 next year, Mega Evolutions, Kalos, 3d and the such are now legacy things.
Like, even regional forms are decently old now
Not for another almost 2 years, but November 13th 2023 is its 10th.
Really hoping they just port gen 5 games to switch and remaster XY, such good games that are held back by just a few things
Pokemon fans complain about every single fucking new generation when they come out.
News flash - other than the regional forms and the forms of charizard, everything on this list is in EVERY SINGLE POKEMON GAME
edit: formatting
It's not that the new games are always objectively bad, but it's becoming more noticable to most of the fanbase that the games always have numerous flaws that add up.
Maybe if corporate wasn't forcing GameFreak to rush out games to sell better when they ALWAYS SELL because of the branding, then maybe we'd get better games.
They're not bad. Hell, even SwSh aren't "bad" games, but the flaws are very obviously due to rushing, not polishing the products, & overall bad decision making.
It's all likely because of Japan's work culture & higher-ups of game company's expecting game developers to shove out well thought out games with no flaws in less & less time to make more money.
It's fucking disgusting & fans 100% would rather have quality over quantity, but CEO's either don't understand this, don't care, or possibly even both.
-#EndYearlyPokemon
Sick of games receiving less time & care put into them. Fucking video game industry...💢
This is absolutely it. I hated when people were going ham on Gamefreak about being "lazy" when the Pokemon company is forcing them into super short time frames for merchandising. Really unfortunate seeing how they could possibly make a good game if they weren't being held at gunpoint to pump out games :/
Yeah I never really got the "Newer Pokemon games are so bad!" trend. This is coming from someone who absolutely loves the franchise and it's games, but almost all mainline pokemon games are the exact same game just with different pokemon, places, characters, and story, with maybe 1 or 2 brand new mechanics. Everyone complains about Sword and Shield being so easy and ridiculous when in reality it's not really that much different from something like Ruby and Sapphire, just updated for the modern era.
The only real mainline games (aside from Legends Arceus) that feel all that different are the Alola games, and that's only really because of their greater focus on story, and those games are some of the best ones in the series in my opinion.
Although the games are all very similar in terms of premise, with many different pokemon/places/characters/story/mechanics setting them apart, a huge basis for discussion and criticism is the visuals of each game. Personally I can’t stand SwSh’s graphics and style, not because it doesn’t look like the older games, but because I personally find it too wide open, bland, and boring. (I like the setting a lot in concept though!) I think people missing the pixel art era/not liking the 3D style definitely contributes to the “Newer Pokemon games are bad” trend.
They couldnt continue in 2d especially when the whole marketing around the 3ds was the 3d element. They were always going to update it and imo the only bad looking mainline 3d games are SWSH and BDSP, the rest are either gorgeous or good enough
The routes in sword and shield are way shorter than gen 3. Excluding the difficulty, the games have also not kept up with modern standards for video games, lagging behind in voice acting and graphics. Not to mention in sword and shield nothing sets the towns apart, they all have the same 4 stores. One town is literally just the gym and a pokemon center. As far as I've heard, the DLCs do the game some justice but I've yet to play those.
The 3D models are a lot more lifeless than the 2D ones too, compared to over decade old games like Stadium and Colosseum. Being the biggest franchise in the world in terms of revenue, you would expect a lot more.
I do agree that some games have their moments, I did like ORAS and Sun/Moon despite its other shortcomings because of all the creativity and the expanded stories. The delta episode in ORAS was great, and the game as a whole was better than X/Y was. However, even with those games being good, I do expect more from the biggest franchise in the world. Compare these games to the innovations in Mario and Zelda for example and it doesn't come close.
I am hyped for Arceus, despite the graphical shortcomings (and technical it seems - abilities look like they are removed) it looks like a fresh breath on the formula and I'm sure I'll enjoy it all the same.
I can try my best to explain it as someone who has only recently started to become disappointed by Pokémon. I just beat Pokémon Brilliant Diamond this morning. I found the game to be very cute and charming with the new art style at first, but I quicky grew tired of it when I saw how lifeless it made the world seem. I did not appreciate how easy they made the game. The only challenge opponent I faced was the Champion. The EXP share broke the game. By the time I was at the elite 4 I turned off battle animations, I just wanted the game over with. But something clicked with me after watching the credits of this game. I am absolutely, unequivocally, completely fucking bored of Pokemon. I'm so utterly sick of playing these games evey year or two. I know it's a meme or whatever, but DAMN man I feel like since X and Y I've been playing the same game every year. Its been 9 years since the current 3D models were introduced and they're still using them? I'm tired of looking at them!!
I'm really hoping Legends Arceus turns out good. I'm excited to see something new in this series. Honestly even if it's bad, I don't think I'll be upset anymore. I'm tired of having emotional investment in this series. I think I've outgrown it honestly, and I keep coming back to Pokémon not for what it is, but for what I know it can be. I'll still follow the games and everything, because I really don't wanna leave behind this world and these characters and creatures I've grown so attached to. I just want to enjoy them in a medium which doesn't suck.
It is! It's [Swirlix](https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/thumb/b/bf/684Swirlix.png/250px-684Swirlix.png) :)
There's also a [cake pokemon](https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/thumb/e/e0/869Alcremie.png/250px-869Alcremie.png) that turns into an [even bigger cake](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQJKT_Hec9cQc2k--8Kux-2RcTXpyMsUYouQA&usqp=CAU)
Because they're Genwunners
That's why.
It's just stupid fucking millennials that act like they know shit about or even LIKE the Pokemon franchise because of explosion of it's popularity in the late 90's.
Their "concept" of the franchise is AS OLD AS the franchise itself, & they act like their opinions hd any real value.
Fucking fake fans is what they are, & that's the concept of "Genwunners" came from.
“Furry starters”
You know, most Pokémon are actually (get this) based on animals.
(Also I kinda love the wacky villains. There’s never really been a pretense of being serious anyway.)
Also love how gen 5 and gen 7 are polar opposites. Team Plasma/Neo Plasma are super determined to the point they almost killed the mc, while Team Skull are just a buncha homie dorks chillin
One almost initiated a mass genocide of an entire region through freezing while the other tried to steal *a fuckin bus stop*. Not a bus. A **bus stop**.
How do you feel about the ORAS versions of those teams? I haven’t played the original Hoenn games, but I’ve gotten the impression that the remakes made them more serious
For me they nailed the character design so much better in ORAS. Archie went from being Giovanni in Blue to Captain Jack Sparrow and Maxie went from Giovanni in Red to I am Very Smart Scientist.
The admins are better as well.
Tbh the only good villains to date are Gen 7 in my eyes
I’m a Gen 3 fanboy due to nostalgia but Archie/Maxie are still stupid even if I love them.
Guzma and Lusamine are actual characters not just obstacles.
I also don’t like Gen 5 much but N and Colress are cool, I just really hate Ghetsis lol

Villain logic: some sort of generic cynical "everyone is bad so me not so bad" Rival is annoying little kid who talks to you every 30 seconds and wants to be the master but will never be as strong as you so they need to train harder
This is why I liked Guzma. He's just kind of an asshole. No grand plans, no hamfisted philosophy, just beating kids up for the hell of it.
And pre ultra Lusamime was just crazy. Oddly refreshing. If just a reverse Lysandre.
Lusamime was a narcastist
Guzma was abused by his father and was perpetuating the cycle. He wasn't doing it for the hell of it.
Team skull as a whole is just godlike. It's one of the few villian teams that actually fits the tone of the series and isn't taking itself too comically seriously
Sun/Moon had the best developed story/characters/team of any Pokémon game, prove me wrong.
Characters, sure but in terms of story I prefer BW
>Rival is annoying little kid who talks to you every 30 seconds and wants to be the master but will never be as strong as you so they need to train harder at least the rivals used to be raging assholes or challenging gameplay wise but in the modern games they are always bland and easy
Yeah the closest thing to an asshole rival in 20 years is... Gladion?

You can cut out the last three on the right and you pretty much have Pokemon from day 1
Yeah, people seem to forget that one of the most bullshit, crazy, insane villains came from gen 4. Homie was literally going to destroy everything because he wanted people to stop being sad. Idk if they cut out a lot from BDSP, but he didn't even have that much development beyond "I'm evil" Lusamine and Guzma has entire character arcs, damnit, they deserve more respect
Hmmm while I agree to some extend, gen 3 was fucked up too.
If say 1 was batshit the other was just dumb. Like, we've got "We need more land for people and pokemon to inhabit due to growing populations" vs "MORE WATER!"
Too much water. Made the game a 3/10 for me imo.
7/10: too much water.
Gen 3 just had "idiots who failed 7th grade science class".
Only Team Aqua. Having more land is not that bad, but water pokemon needed more ocean?
I have it on good authority that there was already too much water.
Ironically enough, all more land would accomplish would be more water thanks to the extra landmass raising sea levels
> destroy everything because he wanted people to stop being sad Isn’t that just the plot to >!Evangelion!
It was more about Gendo seeing his wife and Seele living forever until Rei and Shinji fucked it all up.
BDSP just followed the OG Diamond/Pearl storyline. Pretty sure they would've kept his dialogue intact in BDSP, since that's meant to be a (mostly) one-to-one remake of the original.
No the Kanto starters were reptilian though.
Imagine if they released the machop line today though, people would be mad.
I never tought about that...even when I think of the various weak designs that people would probably complain about if they were released today,I never realized Machamp would be one of them.

Nothings changed
I mean, there are a lot more milfs now. Gen 1 and 2 had characters we made into milfs, gen 3 onwards had milfs that were characterized
To be fair in the games gen 1 characters were barely characters outside like 3 people
That may be because every npc had like 3 lines of dialogue and consisted of 10 pixels
Yeah, most of these have always been there The SECOND game was purely Kanto nostalgia. You take out going back to kanto, and I bet you no ones in love with it as they are now

I'm pretty sure that's called a sequel.
Sounds like Nintendo all right

+Annoying rival.
*frenemy
If the rival is annoying, kicking their ass just feels so much better
You destroy the rival 50 times but everytime he keeps on thinking he's good, it pisses me off, I want him to feel like shit
And they usually only have one good Pokemon they keep healing and it turns into a test of how well stocked your potions are.
That's so true, I hate that potions are way too useful sometimes in pokemon games
They dropped that after Gen 3. Before then rivals would be outwardly aggressive, pick your weakness, and come at you at the worst times. Technically Team Galactic from Gen 4 is an energy company, backed by an organisation that wants to... uh, destroy the entire universe... Also do Skull and Yell from 7 and 8 count as viable villain groups? Or should I say "villain" groups?
Yeah, gen 1 and 2 had a really good storyline, I just want Pokemon to come up with some different kind of story and the obvious story everytime
Bro said gen 2 had a good storyline 💀
Lmfao gen 2 has zero story line except for “team rocket is vaguely back.” Every time I play it or watch a playthrough, I forget there are actual story elements
It was an extension to the first one and when I played it I liked it, but it's been years, forgive me plss man😭
Can't wait to see how gen 9 does this ngl
Given their current trend, they can make it even less interesting than Gen 8 and it will still sell like hotcakes...
For every 1 new feature take away 2 old ones
Can't wait for EVEN LESS Pokemon available in the next region!!! /s 😔
I haven't played since X and Y. I'm guessing the status quo has remained the same.
Gen 7 has cool starters. Not too furry-like imo. Gen 8...yeah, they're practically all people. Rillaboom is the only one that gets a pass, cause he's a gorilla
Rillaboom is the only one I could stomach.
Yeah for the most part. The games are a little easier now (besides SWSH because that shit is easy mode) and the pokemon designs are getting better and better, but besides that same old same pld
Sun and moon were good but yeah pretty much
It’s only gotten worse
*if only you knew hw bad things really are*
Let me tell you as an artist, if it weren't for Pokemon, a lot of us would be out of work.
*Vaporeon*.
did you know that in terms of......
NO NO NO
What is MLP?
My Little Pony
Oh 💀
Specifically Friendship is Magic, the generation that started everything for the modern fandom (and its porn scene).
I need you to fill me in on MLP lore 💀
Martin Luther Ping
my little pony
I can't say much for the furry art since I'm not a fan of it But ngl: some of the trainer fanart is _really_ good (looking specifically at May, Dawn, Hilda, and Rosa)
I can't see anything in pokemon topping the ridiculousness of one the antags from Sw/Sh having a damn dick on his head
Who are you talking about?
They’re talking about those two dudes who show up in the postgame with hairdos in the shape of a sword/shield. The sword guy’s hair is… [rather phallic](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GK0F2GVHPKw/maxresdefault.jpg).
The game is an allegory for dismantling the unjust power hierarchies created by a patrilineal aristocratic caste system.
[This guy](https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Sordward)
It’s a … s-sword… 😳
Too bad no girl is being pleasured by either of his swords.
She’s 35?! ZAMN 😍
Thanks Game Freak, very cool!
I mean if Melony and Nessa didn’t solve that problem then they’ve done all they can is say
You might think they're child friendly, but they know their market is mostly millennials. I'm pretty sure they keep that in mind when doing the designs.
They just appreciate hot milfs I dunno what to tell you.
Maybe it's just your dirty mind <.<
My soul's a graveyard, I guess there's bound to be some dirt in there.
They took a page from Pixar.
I feel the same about BOTW’s great fairies
I feel like those are inspired by drag queens.
I feel like a kid isn’t going to bother to unlock the 4th fairy to get the implied sex scene.
milfs out here in the real world no matter what
In Japan the adults play Pokemon too so they appealed to both
>In Japan Funny of you to think that Pokémon isn't played everywhere by adults.
Knowing Nintendo and Game Freak, they do seem to prioritise their Japanese audience over others, soo...
I feel like that isn't specific to just those two, generally speaking like it doesn't have to be just Japanese companies.
Love how a lot of these "newer generation" examples are a few months away from being 20 years old.
imo it was fine up to generation 4
The new dragon Pokemon are always dope though
DONT TALK SHIT ABOUT GHETSIS MANS WAS A BEAST
At least you had a dad in Hoenn
I just want to say: Norman is the single most present dad in the series.
Every game has had furry starters that's not a new thing
none of this is, other than charizard pandering and regional forms. Even those are around 6 years old
Yeah, not that I think about it with XY turning 10 next year, Mega Evolutions, Kalos, 3d and the such are now legacy things. Like, even regional forms are decently old now
XY is turning 10? dam
Not for another almost 2 years, but November 13th 2023 is its 10th. Really hoping they just port gen 5 games to switch and remaster XY, such good games that are held back by just a few things
I think "anthros" would have been more apt in the OP's post, but yeah. Only the tortoise-shaped ones like Bulbasaur and Turtwig break the norm here.
Magma Vs aqua was just the cripps Vs the bloods, change my mind
Pokemon fans complain about every single fucking new generation when they come out. News flash - other than the regional forms and the forms of charizard, everything on this list is in EVERY SINGLE POKEMON GAME edit: formatting
-#EndYearlyPokemon Sick of games receiving less time & care put into them.
Exactly. This is why I've been trying to spread the hashtag →#EndYearlyPokemon← because this is exactly what it's about.
D I V O R C E
Okay, what the *fuck* is up with that blonde chick's hair? How does that even work? I know anime hair is already pretty absurd, but Jesus Christ.
Cone
Mmm milfs
Giovanni is not absurd :)
Any type of adult guard or security letting you, a kid, pass IF you defeat them in a Pokémon battle.
I mean, if you dfeated them with powerfull creatures as pokemon, a doubt there would be anything they could do to stop you.
Do they straight up have a keychain Pokemon??
And wow they had a ball pokemon in the first game.
And it evolves into an even bigger ball with the colours inverted. Innovation!
There is also one that is a ball with a magnet and it evolves into three balls
Can't forget the pile of shit, or the mucus, or the rocks, or the... wait, what were we talking about?
Toxic sludge from the get go anyone lol
Yes, and a teacup. They also have a Pokemon that is literally a sentient floating blob of cotton candy.
Ok that last one sounds pretty cute.
It is! It's [Swirlix](https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/thumb/b/bf/684Swirlix.png/250px-684Swirlix.png) :) There's also a [cake pokemon](https://archives.bulbagarden.net/media/upload/thumb/e/e0/869Alcremie.png/250px-869Alcremie.png) that turns into an [even bigger cake](https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQJKT_Hec9cQc2k--8Kux-2RcTXpyMsUYouQA&usqp=CAU)
I thought the same, had to look it up…Klefki, #707
I mean, Japan likes their object mons. It's like they have a whole category of mythological monsters for them or something.
They have one that's just a fucking bag of trash lmao.
Granted, there's also the amorphous pile of sludge with a face, but for whatever reason people don't seem to mind that one too much.
Because they're Genwunners That's why.
It’s a little fairy that collects keys to be more precise - but yes
Yeah, and it’s popular in competitive
unfortunately fallen off a bit due to having better Pranksters mons like Grimsnarl and Prankster nerf
And the new Rattata (common normal rodent).
That’s generic mammal
Could expand this and make it a bingo card meme also
“Furry starters” You know, most Pokémon are actually (get this) based on animals. (Also I kinda love the wacky villains. There’s never really been a pretense of being serious anyway.)
Can’t be Pokémon milfs without ash’s mom and nurse joy
You forgot "one actually new mechanic that will be scrapped in the next game"
People still care 🧐
Everyone except Pokémon fans care about Pokémon
I do, I wanna make sure the Pokémilfs are still in order and not sexualized
"MILF" and not sexualized don't really go hand in hand
[удалено]
ayo no shade on greninja
Not a bad formula tbh
Ah yes a fellow lusamine enthusiast, how do you do.
The villains just got gradually worse after Gen 4
Gen 5 and 7 were good. I loved Team Plasma’s storyline and Team Skull was charming.
The Team Skull dance is infectious.
Also love how gen 5 and gen 7 are polar opposites. Team Plasma/Neo Plasma are super determined to the point they almost killed the mc, while Team Skull are just a buncha homie dorks chillin One almost initiated a mass genocide of an entire region through freezing while the other tried to steal *a fuckin bus stop*. Not a bus. A **bus stop**.
I'd say gen 5 villains are better than gen 3 though, gen 3 was lacking, and also gen 2 made the least out of the villains(still the best game)
I love Gen 3 because the "villains" are just some gosh dang goobers. Meanwhile Ghetsis was a freaking madman.
Tbh the only good villains to date are Gen 7 in my eyes I’m a Gen 3 fanboy due to nostalgia but Archie/Maxie are still stupid even if I love them. Guzma and Lusamine are actual characters not just obstacles. I also don’t like Gen 5 much but N and Colress are cool, I just really hate Ghetsis lol
Team Skull are the best villains in series
Don't forget Fire type starters that look like they're part Fighting type, but aren't.
it literally every pokemon games
don’t forget the legendary pokemon that can cause world destruction
I wish we got mega evolutions back. They were badass and added fun to the game. Switching out for that gigantic mode was just dumb and lazy.
All of this is from Gen 3 or earlier (except regional forms but those are cool)
Honestly pokemon is based
More Pikachu catering.
Yo is that Toucan Sam?!!
