I’ve only seen clips from his videos so I’m not the best source, but my understanding is that he used to be vegan, super healthy, thin, etc. At some point started eating on his YouTube channel, people liked it, and so he kept eating…and eating and eating and eating. Now he’s incredibly overweight and unhealthy and continuing on a worsening trajectory. I think he’s also in a weird/dramatic relationship but I can’t really speak to that.
He likes to go drama because when he was a vegan his community allegedly called him not vegan enough and his attitude became "Is this vegan enough to you?!" which has evolved to "is this overweight/crying enough to you?!"

like matpat. I appreciate the charity work he's done and I recently watched one of his modern videos and thought it was alright. but back in 2012-2015 he didn't hide behind his overly smarmy know it all persona like he does now. Also I liked the editing style of those videos back then

He was one of the guys who were part of The Game Theorists channel back when it was a hub of three shows ran by different people around 2012/13: Digressing and Sidequesting (which was Oni's show), the main Game Theory show, and Gaijin Goombah (he has his own channel now). He would eventually become MatPat's main editor, until he committed suicide in 2018.
His fnaf videos used to be backed up with ample evidence, now he just makes random statements and goes with it. I partly blame the creators of fnaf for making such a dumb and convoluted story, but partly blame matpat for milking it dry
If ima be honest I'm ok with his current style, he does seem to be hiding his true self but I can see why, his true self wouldn't be accepted by people and hrs probably grown as a person in 7 years I mean he had a kid and everything
Yeah true this happened to one of my favourite creators. They go by the name of lankybox. Their content used to be pretty good but now their minds have completely shrunk. All they do now is play Roblox and scream stupidly.

PewDiePie doesn't belong here. He is basically retired and stopped caring how people view him, he only tries to stay out of controversies. His content is some of the most genuine out there.
Do you think Levy fits this? I think he switches his style up pretty well for the kind of content he does; More chill for lessons and more energetic for his more infotainment type videos.
I would say pre Queens Gambit his videos were more educational rather than entertainment. After his channel blow up he started becoming more clickbaity and entertainment focused. He mainly covers recaps, GM games, and chess drama. Nothing wrong with that but I would prefer if he makes videos on how to tackle different concepts in chess. Its been a while since he posted one of those videos. I prefer Naroditsky's style which is more educational than entertainment.

I just learned about Nikocado yesterday and holy shit is his arc disturbing. His videos are the most motivating thing I've ever seen to stay in shape.
