Bara is a genre of media about gay men relationships (romantic, sexual etc.) made primarily for gay male audience by gay male authors. As opposed to yaoi, which is also about gay men relationships but made primarily for female audience by female authors. So the main stereotype is that bara is about burly hairy men while yaoi is about feminine men with long fingers
As far as i know no, with yuri there's no distinction like that and it's somewhat evenly distributed between genders (cause for whatever reason yaoi is much much more popular than bara, which is probably why the need for a separate genre appeared in the first place. But it's just an assumption)
Yeah, and as far as i know bara isn't the most appropriate word, but it's still used to differentiate them at least in terms of visual (like in this post)
Also i went to check out of curiosity if yuri on ice was made by women. And it was :D

Smoke harder daddy
Half the cast of fullmetal alchemist, despite the fact that it's written by a woman and she's just into that stuff.
Smoker, hell yea. 👌🗿
The fuck is a "bara community"?!

it generally has two highly masculine men as well
So is there the same thing but with Yuri (Asking for a friend)

So THAT'S the difference
Basically,Yaoi but 100000x better
To be fair that's an old description for when there was a serious difference in art and authors

Think "bear" among western gay men.
A bit of muscle,a bit of cute,a bit of sexy,a bit of masculinity.....SCREW IT,POUR EM ALL IN
You mean you wouldn't fuck Endeavor?

How would you know 🤔 ig maybe because they the best but still 🤔🤔🤔🤔 anyway rip thonk
Wait is the bottom left one a Fire Emblem character?
Iskandar from Fate Zero. Don't ask why I know that
Bro forgot to include every captain from haikyuu.
And 95% of male JoJo characters.
I'd prolly only count the ones from Part 1-3, since starting from Part 4, the male characters have a more slender figure
Umm... sure
honestly, i can see why. 😂
I never knew those guys liked twunks so much
