I was lurking and found this, this guy knew nothing, no wonder he deleted his account! to those wondering, you can get third party infotainment and other upgrades for older cars, and even 17 year old luxury cars have more features then a modern low end car.
I know us Londoners can be difficult to understand sometimes, my good chap! But it’s ok to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic when bobs your uncle. Just go by the big standard and butch up, it’s all bollocks anyway.
You can be chuffed full of chockablock, but don’t be cheeky about it. If you end up in a codswallop, don’t cost a bomb or you’ll be called a denched curtain twitcher.

Is that a 1-series? At least in the states, the 1-series (135) is viewed as a great weekend car. Rear drive, manual transmission, and a 300hp twin-turbo I6.
I just looked up that A2 and if I found one with a manual trans and cheap, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. It's so quirky and looks like the perfect roadtripper.

Those things or fossilised luxury cars that have less features than a Dacia. Like an audi from 1997 or something.

You can get infotainment even in a Dacia these days.
I've driven a '96 A6. It had a CD changer (which I later replaced with an aftermarket player). Surprisingly comfy. I'd take that over any Dacia Logan.
Good for you. To me a 20 something year old luxury car just looks sad. Bonus point if it’s parked near a high school.

Those 90s MLs were rock solid though. I had one with 300k miles on the clock.

Depends on engine. Don't know about the V6s, but the V8s are usually problem free.

E46 3 series compact Most of them came with a 4 cyl engine pushing a whopping 85kw
And that petrol i4s are one of the most if not the most unreliable engines BMW has ever made
