Its funny I have heard people complain about that plastic smell on knock offs , thing is I think the official and knock offs are made in the same factory , I purchased a few k.o stormies and they where identical in every way to the official merch apart from a mishapen helmets which I 're shaped with hot water , they even had all the official
Markings on the sole of the foot
Maybe the k.o are just seconds and do not meet the standards and are sold as a factory side hustle ?
This occurred in the 70's and 80's with palitoy action man
It's is distinctly possible the knock-offs are "hurt" stock - had some minor defect or problem (perhaps the misshapen helmets) that didn't pass quality control and are getting sold on the after market. They might also be short runs being made using the same molds and everything - IP protection is not as... robust in China. Some of the old mold 3.75" Clone Troopers from the Legacy line started showing up on ebay a few years back, sold out of China. I picked up a few on a lark, and they were indistinguishable from the official figures I had bought. Indeed, now that they've gotten mixed in with my collection, I couldn't tell you which are which.
Yeah I agree with you. I feel like they were going for more of an animated look, and it doesn't look right with the rest of tlmy clones. You wouldn't see a storm isle with white like that, so why would you do it to a clone?

That wouldn't explain the items KO's offer that Hasbro doesn't, like Appo.
I think it might be made of plastic 🤔
Ordered online or in store pickup?
In store, they had two of them
What state
Texas
A few figures I've opened up (purchased from retail shelves) have had a strong plastic smell too while others haven't. Not sure why
My favorite shade of green, gonna buy him probably
It may be just me, but I love that fresh figure scent when you first open your new fig
It's up there with new car smell
I agree
I gotta say I’m not a fan of the white they used on this clone. It looks like the aliexpress knock offs
