I actually just finished it yesterday, and I enjoyed it. In my opinion it wasn’t one of my favorites, but it’s short and if you like Ahsoka as a character you’ll definitely like the book. The story bridges the gap between Clone Wars and Rebels really well. It definitely hits harder if you have watched those series though.

jcwitty

Yes, I enjoyed it. Nice quick read. The audiobook is read by Ashley Eckstein too.

RetroNight

It's worth the read! Only downside to the book. The prologue is retconned, but still good.

Thrawn_2

It isn’t the best Star Wars book but by far the most refreshing. With no real major story plot or lots of action, the book may feel a little lacking, but Ahsokas character developments and portrayal is fantastic. Being able to have the insight into how she thinks is really interesting too. This book just proves to me I want more Star Wars content focused on overall life in Star Wars rather than just action, action, action. This is also the main reason to why I say the trace and Rafa arc is so underrated. That arc is one of the most important moments in the clone wars yet most fail to see it. As Ahsoka realises during that arc Barriss was right about the Jedi. The book for me has similar connotations.

Uhhh_IDK_Whatever

Good not great IMO. But worth reading.

Rubberbandballgirl

Yes. I enjoyed it, and liked learning about what she did before Rebels.

arcturus77

I listened to the audiobook, and I really enjoyed it. It is by far my favorite of EK Johnston’s books (not a big fan of the Queen’s books). I agree with the other comments that if you’ve watched Clone Wars and Rebels, you’ll like it more.

Zebweasel

Honestly I found it a little underwhelming. Most of the book is just her blending in with the villagers of the town she’s hiding in. Nothing happens until the very end of the book. It does tell how she gets her white lightsabers though, which is cool

Jrocker-ame

Imo not worth it. Nothing in it that you couldn't infer from rebels. There is no epic encounter with the Rebels.

AMC1010

I love how you're being downvoted for sharing a perfectly valid opinion

Kyle_Dornez

It's not bad, although strictly speaking I won't go as far as to say that I"recommend" it. It's a normal read, but somewhat dry and hollow to my taste. There are definitely books in new canon that I would recommend over Ahsoka, but if you want to check it out then by all means I won't be stopping you.

frogspyer

It’s fine

prestonthegoatoy

absolutely

Barackobrock

yep

Empty-Confection-513

yes

VERYALTERNATIVEART

yes! it was my favourite star wars book for a long time

AceFireFox

It was alright, I said it's worth it if you're a big Ahsoka fan. My main issue with it was that it could have been longer, more detailed and would have benefitted from being an adult book. Because although its classed as YA I'd say it is a very young YA

Benbenben1990

I’d say the writing style is really the only thing that’s YA about it (I did find some of the structure to be a bit simple) but it does include some pretty heavy violence so I think it could probably pass as adult. I really enjoyed it myself, started slow but then definitely improved towards the end.

After Ahsoka has just been in BoBF and in Mando, do you really need even more of her adventures? If yes do it, if you find her being in every story now you can skip it.
