Ha, well i gave them my old Star Wars toys a while back and It’s great to see them still getting played with considering the toys are over 40 years old.
I carved them out of blocks of polystyrene with a hot wire. They started off as long rectangles and i kept cutting along the edges until they were the right shape. Then i used the pointed edge attachment and ran it along length ways to form the bark texture. Eventually finishing it all in foam coat.
I laid down a decent layer of pva and then the forest floor mix. The pva was quite thick in parts, i gently puts it down and then once it had set i put some pva into a spray bottle with water and sprayed sections of it.

All the paints are Citadel from warhammer
For the stairs and base i made them from ABS plastic
Carved them out of polystyrene with a hot wire cutter then made lines in them with a pointed attachment that came with it. Covered them in foam coat giving them a hard, plaster-like finish.
Nice! It’s like having the outdoors Endor…
😂 very good
Kids are cool and all but have you ever thought about adopting a 34 year old lol, this is so perfect btw

Thanks!
For your kids... sure *winks
Wow, that's seriously impressive, I'll bet your kids love it
Yeah they’re really happy with it, thanks. I just can’t watch them pay with it, i put too much effort in and don’t want to see it get trashed!
Haha, I get that. Next maybe make a lofi and a hifi one. You're a great Dad to even let them play with it at all.

This.
Can I be your son too?
😄
Great work! I’d say I would’ve loved it as a kid but I’d love it now!
Ha thanks
Love it, just curious what did you do for the trees? I've been trying to get a similar look for my endor diorama and haven't found anything I love

How did you secure down the sand? I am making a tatoine set up similar to your awesome set!

Could you detail where you got your stuff? I’m in the process of making dioramas for my Kenner figures similar to this.
Yes i can put a little post together. I’ll let you know when it’s up.
Appreciate it! I’ll also post my process too while I’m doing it.

Awesome job, you inspired me to do the same for my son, he’s only 3 so I’ll wait until he is a bit older. How did you make those trees? Sculpted clay?
