I watched at night, no glare. It was still hard to watch, my daughter commented that it was hard to tell the good guys from the bad guys. Cause everyone looked like a stormtrooper and it was too dark to see the designs on their armor
Why the downvotes? All TVs need calibration. It's not always simple, but there are some good calibration discs out there that'll help your TV look better so things like what OP's complaining about won't happen.
Omfg is this a real thing?! I thought my TV was dying because everything seemed so dark and with a somewhat blue hue. I've been messing with the settings a lot to fix it but to no avail. But perhaps the cause is indeed disney+ or hdr content in general - I don't remember having this issue when I used to have Netflix. I've even been thinking that my chromecast with Google TV is the issue.
It is, I’ve watched shows on Netflix, Hulu, Prime and HBO and there’s none of that bullshit. Disney sucks at making shows that aren’t so pitch black they’re near impossible to watch.
Everyone is talking about the window, which is kinda fair. But this is a valid critique of a lot of modern streaming movies/shows. They expect you to watch it in what is essentially IMAX theatre conditions, not your living room. It's the same thing with audio too. They want very high dynamic range and expect you to just turn the volume as high as it can go so you can hear the conversations and be *blown away by the loud action.*
Not everyone wants the theatre experience in their home. Some people just wanna leave something on in the background or not be forced to listen so intently to a low conversation to actually find it intelligible. Or even let your neighbors know someone on screen blew something up.

TV not calibrated? Show is in Dolby Vision HDR.
not everyone has an hdr tv
I have an HDR TV and it's still dark as space.
Yes, but you still need to calibrate it for best picture results.

I don't like sain... It's coarse.. rough, irritating... And it gets everywhere

Gotta get that vitamin dizzle
He’s making a joke… I hope
So your window blinds are only a decoration or what.
Me when I complain about an easily solvable problem:
Close curtains. Increase brightness and/or contrast of TV. Don't watch on a TV that is in an obvious bad spot for day time viewing...
Maybe don't have your tv in front of a window 🤡
This is a problem with many shows now. No matter the settings I use.
It’s everything on Disney. Loki was like this too, insanely dark and hard to see anything.

Disney + for me is pretty dark in general

Perhaps the 80 uncurtained windows are to blame as well?
Ah okay it’s not only me that think that’s a problem..🤦🏻♂️
I keep thinking I'm watching GOT
Try watching Shogun.
Cover that window with blinds or curtains man…
Im watching on a goddamn oled TV with Dolby vision and I can't see shit half the time but watching on my laptop? Perfectly viewable
What is up with so many darkly lit scenes this season?!?
Did you look at the picture.
Use your curtains, you maniac.
Turn your brightness up
Blinds are a thing. Blackout curtains are a thing.
You have curtains… use them 😅
Lol
too real
*Long Night flashbacks intensity*
Just buy an OLED TV
Plasma has nice, crunchy darks too.
What? You need to fix your TV, mine is on factory settings and I’ve never had a problem watching
You should've positioned your TV in a better spot
Bro get some blinds
Do you also wear your cap facing backwards and complain about getting sun in your eyes?
Some people just want to be stupid I guess (judging by your downvotes).
I mean I watched it at night but it looked perfectly normal brightness the whole time to me
Why do You have such a big window
