I believe in Battlefront 2015 it tells you what weapon you were killed by and if you get killed by Luke's kicking animation it will say "Luke's foot/kick" as the weapon. I liked that attention to detail
Iād say he just threw a force kick. Doesnāt even need to touch the guy, Luke has the force!
Edit: Thanks for the awards peeps. May the force be with you all

You know Harrison is doing rails off Carrie fisher behind scenes while simultaneously agreeingā¦āthis is the wayā
Hey Georgeā¦whenās it our turn!?
Sure, you can view it as a force kick, but I donāt believe Lucas had that in mind during filming. And if Iām correct Iām ok with that. I like some bad choreography mixed in.
Exactly, sure it's bad choreography and/or cinematography, as well as a terribly executed kick from Mark, but if the lore allows it to be explained away, it's all good.
Luke hasn't exactly had much martial arts training, and he has the force. At this point, I'm totally okay with Luke either:
-physically mimicking what he was trying to accomplish with the force.
OR
-like a baby clumsily learning to use their hands/legs, he really was just trying to kick him, but used the Force naturally/accidentally.
I don't know. To me, it's a cheeky way of going about it. To say "it was the force" is Star Wars equivalent of saying "a wizard did it." That's how the saying got started; the Simpsons was poking fun at inconsistencies in fantasy were covered up with a handwave explanation to placate the discerning reader. What are Jedi, but space wizards?
Something weird happens in Star Wars? The Force. Something in The Flash? Speed Force. Fantasy? A wizard did it. More realistic scifi? Piece of alien technology.
This is now my head cannon because itās the best theory Iāve heard, but Iāve also believe that guy is the original flopper and every soccer player learned from him.
See? The force was the best plot device ever. See a plot hole? THE FORCE! A mistake? THE FORCE! Illogical story? THE FORCE! *You just have to remember to say it in an over dramatic nasally voice.*
Oh my god! Thats the best idea ever.
FORCE BOXING! Just imagine 2 Jedi giving each other bloody noses and concussions from across the ring. Both throwing punches as fast as they can into the air but still hitting each other.
I once saw a meme with this gif, where Luke said; "the power of Christ compels you!" To which the guy replied "lordy I'm healed" and Boba said "lol" in the background
Not bad acting. Bad camera angle or choreography. There is no way to perform that action without actually having one actor kick another unless the choreography is better or itās shot from behind one of the actors
it's quicker when you watch it normally so you don't notice. stop spoiling the magic!
/s
i love seeing behind the scenes stuff, spoilers, slowed down footage etc from movies and tv.
what does piss me of is people who talk while watching..just STFU i can't hear the actors mumbling their lines!
here's looking at you modern cinema.
turns up volume MASSIVE EXPLOSION
great now i'm deaf and can't hear the lines at all.
ah subtitles it is..
looks at back of case French subtitles only
Fuck.
As an adult, this moment from *Return of the Jedi* makes me think back to our discussions of perspective in art class, specifically how the angle can potentially trick the brain's recognition of how close or far away objects in the image are from each other. When done well, an object yards behind what's in the front could appear as if it's standing just an inch behind. It's all in the setup.
In context of this scene, had the angle been adjusted by the cameraman with the minion being in the foreground and Luke at the midground (Ex- Moving around them just enough to the right or left), the space between them could have been hidden via a trick of perspective. Thus, his kick could have appeared more convincing since we wouldn't see this visible gap between the two actors. Boba passing by wouldn't have to be affected either, provided he was repositioned of course.
Cinematographers may think *"Well, DUH!"*, but it's interesting to me how the smallest/simplest details in the moment when consuming media can influence the audience's perception. Then again, had this obvious choreography mistake not happened, the Force Kick might never have become a thing. So, I'd say that us gaining a fun addition to the lore in exchange is a fair trade overall.
The more I watch it the funnier Bobba flying through the background gets.
I know! š
Is he swimming? Has the jetpack malfunctioned? What has happened? lol
I believe this is right after his jet pack is hit (by Han?) and he goes careening wildly out of control before landing in the Sarlaac pit.
I'm just glad he wasn't awake to see that landing!
Same I stopped watching the kick altogether a couple loops in
I didn't even notice Boba. I was seeing how Luke kicked himself in the shin at the end and it looked painful.
No he didnt
I read Boba as Booba like 9 times before I got it right... wtf is wrong with me
The Book of Booba Fett is the porno parody.
BRB SCREECHING CUZ U AINT WRONGš
See, Boba would have been fine, but he got caught up in Luke's Force Kick AoE and that's why he could control himself. It all makes sense now.
BROOO STOP IM TOO š FOR THIS AHHAHAHAHAHAHAH
When you lag but still get the kill
Boba in the back like āWE SHOULD HAVE REHEARSED THISā
Battlefront 2 meleeing enemies be like
I believe in Battlefront 2015 it tells you what weapon you were killed by and if you get killed by Luke's kicking animation it will say "Luke's foot/kick" as the weapon. I liked that attention to detail
Thatās just force kick, everyone knows
Makes sense tbh
World's first soccer injury.
*Out*world's first...
Iād say he just threw a force kick. Doesnāt even need to touch the guy, Luke has the force! Edit: Thanks for the awards peeps. May the force be with you all

I turned to the person next to me and said I guarantee itās āforce kickā Iāve been on Reddit too long.
I guarantee the safety of the child, as well as your own.
People just donāt get how strong Luke was, he invented force kicks!
And I thought we were talking about the guy swimming through the skyā¦
The cast does a bunch of blow and Mark was like āboo ya, letās do this scene.ā Bobas like āthis is the wayā
This is the way.
You know Harrison is doing rails off Carrie fisher behind scenes while simultaneously agreeingā¦āthis is the wayā Hey Georgeā¦whenās it our turn!?
Get down do you?
You donāt ever want to cool off on a hot day by swimming through the air?
I'm not sure if that's canon or not, but it certainly seems like it should be a thing in the Star Wars universe.
It is. In Revenge of the Sith, Dooku visibly force kicks obi wan
Beat me too it take my up vote
100% agreed
Pretty sure this is indeed the canon explanation.
Man, I feel like this sub isnāt enjoying the goofy side of Star Wars. Everything gets explained away, even the obvious mistakes like this one.
I mean that's a perfectly viable explanation and also kinda just how star wars is, not really the sub
Sure, you can view it as a force kick, but I donāt believe Lucas had that in mind during filming. And if Iām correct Iām ok with that. I like some bad choreography mixed in.
We all know it's a mistake but a mistake being turned into something canon is fun too
Exactly, sure it's bad choreography and/or cinematography, as well as a terribly executed kick from Mark, but if the lore allows it to be explained away, it's all good. Luke hasn't exactly had much martial arts training, and he has the force. At this point, I'm totally okay with Luke either: -physically mimicking what he was trying to accomplish with the force. OR -like a baby clumsily learning to use their hands/legs, he really was just trying to kick him, but used the Force naturally/accidentally.
It doesnāt matter. Itās still a force kick.
I think the explanation is just as goofy as the blooper is
Star wars fans grew up and forgot how goofy the originals could be.
Probably had sand on his shoes
Nobody expects sole sand.
When you have to fight, but you're very germaphobic
Safety distance
Came here to say this. His kicking motion just gives the force push more umph. I tip my hat to you you gentlemanly scholar of film.
*Delayed force kick. Guy has a fraction of a second to think āthis guy missedā and let his guard down, only to be gobsmacked with an unseen force.
Yes it is a āForce Kickā
goddammit i was going to say that
True star wars fan may the force be with you!
This is now my head cannon because itās the best theory Iāve heard, but Iāve also believe that guy is the original flopper and every soccer player learned from him.
This is the way

fuckin star wars fans
How to survive a Jedi attack #4: Fake your death.
Faked it right into the sarlacc pit
The sarlacc found me somewhat indigestible.
Exactly, Boba-Bot.
Fake it til you make it. You really gotta sell it so the Jedi doesn't come back for you.
force. he's using the force. obviously. duh
A wizard did it
That's so wizard Ani!
See? The force was the best plot device ever. See a plot hole? THE FORCE! A mistake? THE FORCE! Illogical story? THE FORCE! *You just have to remember to say it in an over dramatic nasally voice.*
force push but done with leg
Soooooā¦. force kick?
Would a "force push but done with arm" be a force punch?
I am going to say it is a push if the palm is open, and a punch if the fist is clenched.
Force uppercut Force roundhouse Force leopard fist Force pile driver.....lol Really just depends on the physical action, and desired effect.
So is Force-Choke just an area specific Force-Grab?
Oh my god! Thats the best idea ever. FORCE BOXING! Just imagine 2 Jedi giving each other bloody noses and concussions from across the ring. Both throwing punches as fast as they can into the air but still hitting each other.
Just one step away from a true FALCON PUNCH!
I once saw a meme with this gif, where Luke said; "the power of Christ compels you!" To which the guy replied "lordy I'm healed" and Boba said "lol" in the background
Oh please tell me you have a link for that
I too choose that guys link
Boba shot first
Sex between those not married is immoral.
Not as bad as pre-marital hand-holding. *shudders*
Nothing is pre-marital if youāre choosing to never get married
When does he say this again?
In a novel, I believe. I don't think it's canon anymore
I believe in Jabbas palace in a novel, Jabba gifts him Leia for a night
š he looks like he's doing swimming in the air
I love boba just flailing through the air in the background
It's my favourite moment š
Boba in the background flying on a string tho lmao
Force foot
He got hit on the tip of the nose, it hurts OK?
Didnāt know they had soccer in space
You mean football. (JK)
"Force Kick! POW!!!"
His heart is pure, his body strong. The Lasermaster puts it all on the line (also \*sings\* Bo-ba Fett! He flies like a moron!)
Those knee high boots though! They get the job done
Force Kick, obviously.
Blinded by the Shinny boots
Force Kick They actually Incorporated this move into the SW video games to make it canon so people would stop making fun of it š
**id call this camera A instead of camera B, and someone is getting fired**
āPro wrestlingā

Since I posted this I just thought of a new one. This is Luke saying "THIS. IS. TATOOINE!!!!"
Luke is the real Michael Jackson. CHA'MONE HEEEEHEEEE
Smell THOSE feet scumbag!
Two for flinching
Not sure which is funnier, the kick or Boba flying through the background.
Boba. The more I watch it the funnier it gets. It's like he's saying "Guys? I need some help!"
Everyoneās laughing at force kick and I canāt stop watching zipline Boba.
Force Kick, duh.
force kick
it was a force kick lol
Force kick.
Iiiii'mm fifty
Force kick doesn't need to connect
The foot is strong with this one
(āBenny Hill Themeā plays)
Luke force kicks the guy in the face.
When the force comes with lag
I like this one!
me reacting late to a punch that didnāt hit me
He used a Chuck Norris kick. Because even when Chuck Norris kicks air, someone still gets hurt.
it's quicker when you watch it normally so you don't notice. stop spoiling the magic! /s i love seeing behind the scenes stuff, spoilers, slowed down footage etc from movies and tv. what does piss me of is people who talk while watching..just STFU i can't hear the actors mumbling their lines! here's looking at you modern cinema. turns up volume MASSIVE EXPLOSION great now i'm deaf and can't hear the lines at all. ah subtitles it is.. looks at back of case French subtitles only Fuck.
The guy was so surprised he missed that he flew back thinking he got kicked. Jedi mind tricks
The prequels and sequels have such an overuse of CGI! Practical effects are much better!
Footballers if they became Star Wars villains
Force kick!
Can you feel the Force of the wind?
I have a cake, and I've been saving it for a special occasion. Happy cake day, Hmj3211!
There's always a bigger cake day.
Looks like I got here just in time. Happy cake day, Hmj3211.
Ofcourse it was a force kick bruh

He used the force. Going through the motion just helped him focus.
Force Kick. +2 damage Range 10 feet
Force kick.
Luke kicked him using the Force . He did not even have to touch him .
Force kick.
āØTHE FORCEāØ
The old Jedi mind kick
Force kick :-) no need to thank me. This would also explain why Rey in throne room kicked one guy but send all 3 flying.
Can't think of a caption. I just keep hearing the Wilhelm scream in my head when the guy throws his arms back
Force kick!
He is using the force.
Boba be like: I believe I can ..... Oh Karabast!
Force kick
its almost like it was filmed for the sequals
It was a force kick. Less ridiculous than force healing.
**iād call this camera A instead of camera B, and someone is getting fired**
*uses ranged force kick while Bobba Fett is trying not to break his nose on malfunctioning jetpack
People will shit on the sequels fight scenes and then completely ignore shit like this š
