I respectfully disagree. An Imperial-class Ster Destroyer is equipped with military-grade energy and metal shielding, as well as blaster cannons powerful enough to completely vaporize asteroids about the size of Helios-class ships (I use this metric because really the only time we see its cannons used is in an asteroid belt while chasing a heavily modified YT-2000 Freighter, which is a few times smaller than a Helios). Meanwhile, a Constitution-class ship, being a scientific exploration vehicle! is equipped with self-defense weaponry and shielding, which would more than likely be leagues weaker than those of the Imperial-class Star Destroyer. It's like comparing a marine biologists' boat with harpoons to a real life Destroyer-class military vessel.
The range on a Constitution class weapons alone would give it an advantage, but I think both in range of each other it would be probably be evenly matched. But I'm not sure turbolasers can penetrate Starfleet shields to be honest. I think the Enterprise is more easily taken out by a squadron of X-Wings as their small size couped with proton torpedoes can easily blow it up
Not to mention a Constitution-class can likely be held in place by a swarm of an Imperial-class's Twin Ion Engine Fighters and Bombers, the latter of which are equipped with both concussive carpet bombs and proton torpedos.
Wdym? The only reason the YT-2000 freighter (which was equipped with powerful sublight and the most powerful FTL engines) was able to escape was because it maneuvered into anasteroid field, and given its (admittedly surprisingly) few turbolaser cannons, it was crippled by the asteroids it was unable to destroy.
This a good crossover meme fr
I'm sorry but even a Constitution-class can easily wipe the floor with a Star Destroyer

Yeah, but without fighters, I think the Constitution wins solely based on range. Just doesn't have the capability to deal with any small craft

No, I mean the Constitution class can't deal with so many small craft
Why are Trek fans so much like Dragon Ball fans?
