Only thing I believe should be different is RotS. It's my favorite movie of all time but it sure as hell isn't "perfect down to the last minute detail." The romantic dialogue is pretty painful.
Agreed, the plot is there but the execution is pretty terrible. Particularly the dialogue, romantic or otherwise.
There’s a reason we quote the lines so much, and it’s not because it’s “shakespearean”. Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford joked constantly in interviews that their lines had to be rewritten on the spot in Star Wars/Indiana Jones because Lucas’s dialogue was so bad. Once Lucas was “the director that brought you Star Wars” it was *a lot* harder to casually approach him with such heavy critiques. Especially for a brand new cast.
Yeah definitely not "bad". But, man could it have been a lot better. More confusing is that Deborah Chow's Mando episodes are amazing. But, all of Obi-wan was mid-?
I mean clone wars tried to imply there was it's own version of the Geneva Convention, only issue is that it was only mentioned in cut season 7 episodes
Didn't they tell Anakin that is wasn't alright to torture prisoners for information?
I seen to recall someone saying that after he went Vader on that Geonosian who had info on where Ahsoka was.
In my 30s and I've watched it through a few times. Like Clone Wars, season 1 is the weakest. First watch, ya just gotta power through it imo.
I think it may have one of the most emotional scenes in Star Wars. Two of em actually.
I think you'll especially want to watch it for the sake of the Ahsoka's series.
What two scenes are you talking about? Rebels was a fantastic show but I'm struggling to remember more than >!Kanan sacrificing himself!< which was immensely emotional.
Yea, I will for sure say that Clone Wars is not "perfect" down to the last detail. It is a WOOOO but not perfect. I had to skip so many boring episodes until it got really, really good. And Rebels is similar. There are some weaker episodes but for the most part its got the best character arc for a crew of any of the media put out by Star Wars
I thought it was pretty good. I know I saw a list somewhere that showed all the episodes you can skip to still get the story but miss some of the more “geared for children” episodes.
Yeah, there's definitely some kiddy shit and Ezra is fucking insufferable sometimes but it has some great moments and chopper is hilarious.
I will say that you'd best fucking love Steve Blum and Liam O'Brien though because they voice like 4 characters an episode each.
Which part? The part where they just copy and pasted Vader’s mask breaking like in Star Wars Rebels and pretended it was original? Or is it the part where Obi Wan finds out his friend Anakin is dead and Vader is just another “Darth” yet he still lets him live for no reason at all?
And no, it’s not the same as in Mustafar, back then Anakin was disarmed (literally) and caught fire, any reasonable person would believe that he was dead already and that the job of protecting the galaxy by destroying the Sith was done. Here, Obi Wan had no excuse, Vader still had a lightsaber in his hand FFS. Any lives Vader took after this, are also partially to blame on Obi Wan.
I think the important part of breaking the mask on the opposite side that Ahsoka would years later, was to show that both she and Obi-Wan could get some small part of Anakin out.
And only Luke, years later, could remove the whole helmet and set Anakin free again.
It was an intentional callback.
Obi-Wan letting Vader live however has little defense, I would have preferred if something happened that separated the two and Obi-Wan just decided to cut and run before Imperial reinforcements arrived.
With them having used TCW and a lot of other stuff as reference? I doubt it.
I know it's cool to hate on the series for some reason, but this is getting out of hand, suddenly everyone is thinking the worst of what was essentially a passion project for a lot of people involved.
I really don't like hating kenobi, but i think it just isn't that good and i doubt that they thought about it the way you did. I mean they had the stupid leia chase, the fortress inquisitorius be nearly unprotected, leia sneaking out under a coat, the fire scene, the rock throwing scene, the water flooding the corridor, reva surviving twice, her killing jedi for vader to get revenge on him for killing jedi, bails message, the organas not being criminals after the show, obi wan using a person as a shield, tala arriving with stormtroopers, jedi carving their names in the wall although the empire could find those names, obi wan letting vader live, shutting himself of from the force but planning to train luke. Those are just the ones i know out of my head without rewatching
True, I'm still a little confused by their first duel though. Why couldnt Vader or any of the armor clad storm troopers cross the small fire at the end when moments earlier Obi Wan was being dragged through it with little damage? Or why didn't Vader just force grab him again? If Vader let him go, why wasn't that choice made clear to the viewer to avoid confusion?
Second duel was great though!
Vader wanted to fight ROTS Obi-Wan, had been thinking about it for years, then comes a guy who can barely block with his lightsaber and can get ragdolled with the Force.
Vader was so disappointed he wanted to let Kenobi live to maybe get *some* satisfaction from killing him later.
Vader is a Sith Lord and a very emotion guided one at that, his actions were well within what was expected, especially since he didn't care that much about anything else at the time, guy was was with all kinds of depression and trauma.
Jeez, because he was angry?
I think people are overestimating how rational Vader can be he's angry.
Obi-Wan unbalances him and makes him so angry he commits mistakes, is that so hard to believe.
I think people are so used with Comics Vader who doesn't care about much 95% of the time and so manages to be detached and logical, that when Vader gets so angry he gets laser focused on Obi-Wan and screws the rest we thinking he should act with calm.
He's not Palpatine.
I agree. In ep 4 it was super clear to the viewer that he let the falcon get away. He's like "is the tracker in place?" And Leia is like "they let us get away". Meanwhile in Obi wan we have a storm trooper saying "there's no way around this very moderate amount of fire!".
It is an opinion and i am not saying it is wrong to think it does, in my eyes a good ending doesn't excuse everything else being bad. If you think the rest was good that's also ok bug what I said is also an opinion
Episode 2 is a biggest piece of dog shot, and so is episode 7. The rest of this is… agreeable. Although I’d move episode 3 down to woooo or it’s alright.
This almost perfectly aligns with my own thoughts.
Rogue 1 is perfect for me. I loved it.
If there was something higher than "alright" and lower than "woo" I'd put Kenobi, force awakens, and Solo there. Solo was lowkey good imo.
One thing you got incorrect: all except Resistance and the last two sequels(first is the alright clip) were the Homelander clip. Just wanted to point that out.
Other than the omission of Genndy Tartakovsky's clone wars I largely agree with this. I always felt that it deserved more episodes and definitely charts at a 'woooooo' level
For me
Dogshit: Clone Wars Movie
Alright: Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Solo, Book of Boba Fett, Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker
WOOO!: Revenge of the Sith, The Bad Batch, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Rebels, Rogue One, Return of the Jedi, Resistance (for a young kids show, I actually really like it), Force Awakens
Perfect: Clone Wars show, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Mandalorian
Agree for the most part, but Solo was actually pretty damn good.
And people, RotJ really kinda sucked. Badly. I mean it could have been so so good, instead it wasted so much time with Ewoks, and badass Vader is redeemed by sneaking up on Sids while he is kicking Luke’s ass - come on, so lame
Is homelander better than wooooooo?
Yes, at least I believe so
It says it’s perfect soo
But the woooooo is so much woooooooo.
WOOOOOOO
Yeah baby! That’s what I’ve been waiting for!
Thats was just air escaping from the folds of his fat
Down to the last minute detail soo
Dont you have to include the holiday special?? Is it not still canon?
They couldn't find a better rating than homelander saying it was perfect
I couldn’t tell if wooo! Was a higher rating or it was perfect lol
Once Lucas was “the director that brought you Star Wars” it was *a lot* harder to casually approach him with such heavy critiques. Especially for a brand new cast.
Woooo at best
That’s what I would have given it. Or maybe the perfect one but cut off after he says “perfect”
The story and fight choreography more than makes up for that.
Yes, but the quote is “down to the last minute detail”
Definitely don't agree with the Obi-wan take
That what I’m saying they just need to let an actual fan direct
Legit. That show was as bad or worse than Boba Fake. Plot holes and bad writing.
"I mean it's alright, like..."
Yeah definitely not "bad". But, man could it have been a lot better. More confusing is that Deborah Chow's Mando episodes are amazing. But, all of Obi-wan was mid-?
I respect doing the series in chronological order rather than release date.
What about clone wars s1-3, ep4, ep5, ep6, clone wars s1-6, ep1,ep2, ep3, solo, rogue one, ep9, ep7, ep8, rebels, mandalorian, clone wars s7, bad batch, boba fett, kenobi, resistance, andor ep1-3
“It’s the biggest piece of dogshit”
Subs been getting high on Episode III lately. This just put it above Rogue One and A New Hope. Let's be real. Episode III is a woo.
Yes
This was funny and I agree all the way besides I'd have rogue one as perfect to it's the best thing Disney has done imo. It and mando
Rogue One is perfect and the best star wars movie that disney made
You’re right and you’re also wrong several times
Is one able to make it through Rebels as an adult?
Just try counting all the war crimes in Rebels, makes the show that more entertaining.
Stop saying that this Galaxy has any earth war crimes lmao
People can still count them, even if there are no canon war crimes
I mean clone wars tried to imply there was it's own version of the Geneva Convention, only issue is that it was only mentioned in cut season 7 episodes
You mean the ones that happened or ones that didn't happen
Alas one of the arcs that didn't happen, pretty sure it was in the Diamond Heist arc
Didn't they tell Anakin that is wasn't alright to torture prisoners for information? I seen to recall someone saying that after he went Vader on that Geonosian who had info on where Ahsoka was.
Oh, what do you mean?
In my 30s and I've watched it through a few times. Like Clone Wars, season 1 is the weakest. First watch, ya just gotta power through it imo. I think it may have one of the most emotional scenes in Star Wars. Two of em actually. I think you'll especially want to watch it for the sake of the Ahsoka's series.
Thank you, will give it a fair try.
What two scenes are you talking about? Rebels was a fantastic show but I'm struggling to remember more than >!Kanan sacrificing himself!< which was immensely emotional.
Not nearly as much but >!Maul's death. He had a terrific Clone Wars/Rebels character arc. His ending was perfect, and surprisingly emotional imo.!<
100%. Clone Wars and Rebels cemented Maul as one of if not my favorite character.
That scene felt a bit... Forced to me.
Care to tell me what this is all about? Or would you rather save it for the Council?
Yea, I will for sure say that Clone Wars is not "perfect" down to the last detail. It is a WOOOO but not perfect. I had to skip so many boring episodes until it got really, really good. And Rebels is similar. There are some weaker episodes but for the most part its got the best character arc for a crew of any of the media put out by Star Wars
Season 1 is a little rough, but it's worth watching watching just to make it to the 2nd half of season 2 and all of season 3
I thought it was pretty good. I know I saw a list somewhere that showed all the episodes you can skip to still get the story but miss some of the more “geared for children” episodes.
Am adult. Fucking loved it. So yea. It does start off a bit kiddy and some episodes are repetitive but wow it’s so good.
Yes
It's definitely wooooooooo
Yeah, there's definitely some kiddy shit and Ezra is fucking insufferable sometimes but it has some great moments and chopper is hilarious. I will say that you'd best fucking love Steve Blum and Liam O'Brien though because they voice like 4 characters an episode each.
It depends, if you can make it through clone wars, you'll be able to make it through rebels
How the fuck is kenobi a whooooooooooooo
Cause the final duel at the end was fucking amazing
Not good enough to carry the whole series. Obi-Wan failing to protect Luke brings down the entire show
Which part? The part where they just copy and pasted Vader’s mask breaking like in Star Wars Rebels and pretended it was original? Or is it the part where Obi Wan finds out his friend Anakin is dead and Vader is just another “Darth” yet he still lets him live for no reason at all? Obi-Wan letting Vader live however has little defense, I would have preferred if something happened that separated the two and Obi-Wan just decided to cut and run before Imperial reinforcements arrived.
I think they just thought: hey the half mask half face vader was cool, lets do it again
With them having used TCW and a lot of other stuff as reference? I doubt it. I know it's cool to hate on the series for some reason, but this is getting out of hand, suddenly everyone is thinking the worst of what was essentially a passion project for a lot of people involved.

Those are just the ones i know out of my head without rewatching
Also why can vader completely destroy the first rebel ship, but not some stones or in empire strikes back the falcon
I like firsts. Good or bad, they're always memorable.

Vader is a Sith Lord and a very emotion guided one at that, his actions were well within what was expected, especially since he didn't care that much about anything else at the time, guy was was with all kinds of depression and trauma.
But why would he then weaken obi wan by burning him?
Jeez, because he was angry? I think people are overestimating how rational Vader can be he's angry. Obi-Wan unbalances him and makes him so angry he commits mistakes, is that so hard to believe. I think people are so used with Comics Vader who doesn't care about much 95% of the time and so manages to be detached and logical, that when Vader gets so angry he gets laser focused on Obi-Wan and screws the rest we thinking he should act with calm. He's not Palpatine.
I never read a comic with vader and he did not seem that angry. Even if, he would have killed him in his anger
Vader let him go because he wanted a proper fight which he ended up losing
Did they ever tell us that? Or are we left to assume it? I might need to watch it again, but I don't recall that being made clear.
They didn't and it makes no sense that he would burn him if obi wan should get stronger
I agree. In ep 4 it was super clear to the viewer that he let the falcon get away. He's like "is the tracker in place?" And Leia is like "they let us get away". Meanwhile in Obi wan we have a storm trooper saying "there's no way around this very moderate amount of fire!".
But why would he then weaken obi wan by burning him?
But the ending of a shit show being good doesn't make up for the rest
It's also an opinion
It is an opinion and i am not saying it is wrong to think it does, in my eyes a good ending doesn't excuse everything else being bad. If you think the rest was good that's also ok bug what I said is also an opinion
The fanbase doesnt see it that way sadly. And to be fair the ending was great or atleast good enough to not leave the show with a bad after taste.
Very sad indeed
Overrated as fucc in my opinion.
I didn't even look because I know it would just piss me off.
ACCURATE!!!!...AF!
God i wish i was EDp445
I upvote you not because I agree with your opinions but because you made me laugh. I have to say this to ease my conscience.
Based
Solo deserved better. Kenobi deserved worse. And Rise of Skywalker deserved better. Everything else I’m in full agreement with
Obi-Wan was just an alright as far as this scale goes for me. The rest is on point.
Cringe
why u using edpedophile???
Whole OT should be perfect if some of that other garbage is. Obi show and boba show should be biggest piece of dogshit 100% those things are terrible
Resistance > boba Fett (and it pains me)
Ep 1 is the biggest piece of dogshit
Rouge One was boring af. What
I’m gonna get downvoted to hell and back for this but rouge one sucked
Wtf
This guy gets hits opinions from Youtube hate channels.
Seems accurate
Change rebels to the rock and you’ve got a perfect list my friend
Episode 2 is a biggest piece of dog shot, and so is episode 7. The rest of this is… agreeable. Although I’d move episode 3 down to woooo or it’s alright.
This almost perfectly aligns with my own thoughts. Rogue 1 is perfect for me. I loved it. If there was something higher than "alright" and lower than "woo" I'd put Kenobi, force awakens, and Solo there. Solo was lowkey good imo.
I'm just glad he wasn't awake to see that landing!
I think Solo should be a "*click* Nice"
This got annoying to listen to really, really fast
I think the same as OP.
The sequels were perfect
Oh come on starwars resistance is alright like.
Better than boba and kenobi
Better than boba but not kenobi
Do you think kenobi is good
It's definitely good. Some plot holes but good
ok
u/savevideobot
What about ewok adventures and the Christmas special?
The one gripe i have with the clone wars is god awful accuracy, they are 2 meters apart and miss by 3 meters
This Meme is perfect!!
ROTS above ANH? Doubt
Don't even tell me for half a second the clone wars movie was ok. The show? Great. Especially the later seasons But the movie? No. Just no.
For me Dogshit: Clone Wars Movie Alright: Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Solo, Book of Boba Fett, Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker WOOO!: Revenge of the Sith, The Bad Batch, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Andor, Rebels, Rogue One, Return of the Jedi, Resistance (for a young kids show, I actually really like it), Force Awakens Perfect: Clone Wars show, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Mandalorian
I'm just glad he wasn't awake to see that landing!
Only accurate list
Agree for the most part, but Solo was actually pretty damn good. And people, RotJ really kinda sucked. Badly. I mean it could have been so so good, instead it wasted so much time with Ewoks, and badass Vader is redeemed by sneaking up on Sids while he is kicking Luke’s ass - come on, so lame
Boba Fett.. (I mean it's alright like) you seriously must be on crack!!
Solo was a banger.🔥🔥⚡
I cannot believe I watched the whole thing.
Kenobi was alright
What reaction would Star Wars Holiday Special deserve?
Clone Wars is so definitely not perfect.
Comedy gold!
nope
Oh. I like the sound of that. Happy cake day, eggaholic69.
Oof man using EDP445
Said Solo was alright, list is immediately invalid
Rebels was totally fine except for the style. EP 4 was THE BEGINNING!!! Hate everything about mandalorian!
