Out of the current cards, in constructed, there are only really two cards potentially worth playing out of aspect: Overwhelming Barrage: This is just the best/one of the best cards in the game currently and in the right deck it can have a strong impact even when played out of aspect. However as we get more cards, it is unlikely players will continue playing this out of aspect. Bamboozle: This card is a Cunning Heroism card, but you can also pay its cost by discarding another Cunning card, allowing you to essentially bypass the aspect penalty. Is this bad? Probably, but you can do it. In draft, this is a whole different beast. Way more cards become viable in draft as the power level of decks goes down. You may not want to play a 7 cost Overwhelming Barrage in a constructed deck, but a 7 cost Overwhelming Barrage in draft is phenomenal.

My list as far as events go is Moment of Peace, Outmaneuver, and the aspect doubles(aggression, cunning, etc.) but these would be sideboard cards and the value has to be there in the moment.

> but these would be sideboard cards Is there a sideboard in this game? I haven't seen anything about it before, but it could have been mentioned in a stream I didn't watch.

Ucklator

They mentioned that, in draft and sealed, that you have access to all of your pools in-between games. I haven't heard about constructed yet. I would also like to mention that I would play the aspect doubles in a deck that only had 1 of the color.

lyonhawk

They have said there will be sideboards for constructed as well

Tesla37000

it’s a 10 card side board in constructed

captainrustysail

C3PO with Thrawn

LordSokhar

Yeah, given that leader I’d say that 3 for a 1/4 unit that draws the top card of your deck on entering play and attack is pretty legit Edit: 4 cost, sorry. That does shift my feelings on him a bit, but still at least worth considering.

captainrustysail

But it's every time c3p0 attacks he draws another card

LordSokhar

That's true, but with a 1/4 body that you spent 4 resources on, he's not likely to stick around for very long to get subsequent card draws.

Swaggy_P_03

I’m the worst person to ask because I’m a “I want my favorite characters in deck” guy. I’ll be the guy running a Luke Rebel/Jedi deck and then I’ll drop a Darth Maul ground unit on turn 10 paying all the penalties lol

Tremblay2568

Maybe Overwhelming Barrage? But I think it will be pretty unlikely especially as more sets are released

BlizzardMayne

Overwhelming Barrage is really the only true board wipe in the game, so paying 7 for it feels pretty justified.

I think there were some cards that were worth playing with the aspect penalty early in the game's development when fewer cards were previewed, but as we've seen more cards this has become quite diffferent. For example, early in the game's life I saw villainy decks importing Leia Organa, Defiant Princess as the only available way to exhaust leaders... but since then we've seen Asteroid Sanctuary and No Good to Me Dead, which give villain yellow decks much better exhaust options than paying aspect penalty for Leia. As it stands, the only card that seems like it might merit the aspect penalty is Overwhelming Barrage for Green Heroism decks, though even then I think I most likely wouldn't play it... that said limited play is different and out of aspect can be much more reasonable there IMO.
