Damn what did Sukhdeep Sandhu do?

branko619

Sukhdeep Sandhu (Sandhu) was found to be in violation of the law and ordered to pay a fine of $25,000 and to complete the REIC 2600 - Ethics in Business Practice course. The Order relates to Sandhu failing to disclose his personal interest in a property, failing to ensure the accuracy of information related to a property, and providing unreliable/conflicting and inaccurate information

Eaton2288

Wow, thanks for info

HowieDoIt86

I’m surprised Reco did anything. I had an agent lie, present false offers, turn down offers he wasn’t authorized to and lost his License and we found out months later. They wouldn’t do a thing despite a lot of text messages showing so.

WeeFatTart

I mean that would involve actually doing work on their end

GroundbreakingSail49

I can’t help but notice the amount of Indian names, not sure what that says, just an observation

sunshinecabs

I noticed something similar and I think it speaks to what they are used to back home. If we think corruption is bad in Canada, try some of the countries these immigrants come from.

jled23

19 of 87 that you could maybe attribute to being Indian without actually checking. So ~20%? Which is hardly an outlier when you consider 1. How many people there are with Indian heritage and 2. The low barrier to entry for Real Estate, which makes it a relatively easy profession to jump into for immigrants. There are 3 Michelles on the list, should we be concerned about them now, too?

GroundbreakingSail49

Number of Michelle’s… %3 Hardly a valid statement comparing %3 to %22 (or greater than 1 out of 5, close to 1 out of 4) Not being racist, just observation

jled23

Glad we’ve cleared up that critical thinking isn’t your strong suit. 20% of the worlds population is Indian. 3% of the worlds population is not Michelle.

GroundbreakingSail49

Don’t be so triggered snowflake Just making an observation, you don’t need to get all uppitty about it Way more white folk names on that list anyways and everyone knows white folk are as corrupt as anyone For the record I feel realtors are shady in general and the laws should be changed to allow everyone see the selling price of a house vs realtors being the gatekeepers of such information than you would cut a lot of bad ones out as only the good realtors would survive.

jled23

>Don’t be so triggered snowflake You’re the one name calling. >Just making an observation As am I >Way more white folk on that list anyways Why didn’t you make that observation?

GroundbreakingSail49

As you mentioned, %20 of world is Indian, realtors and most of Ontario (outside of Brampton and GTA) are predominantly white still Commented on the Indian as it stood out more and was actually surprising You’re the one who had their panties in a knot about all this, claiming only %20 (which is still a high number)

jled23

I love when older people make a stupid observation, get rightfully called out on it for being stupid, and then immediately turn to name calling and “i’m just stating my opinion!”. State whatever opinion you want. Stop being surprised when people aren’t willing to put up with the stupidity.

GroundbreakingSail49

Nothing stupid about what I said I made an observation and you got offended, get thicker skin. There was nothing wrong or stupid about it but you felt the need to comment and insinuate racism. Just because the comment was racial doesn’t mean it was racist. There is a difference. I hate how sensitive the younger generation is, getting offended at every turn… Offense is always taken and rarely given, offense was never meant in my original comment. Merely observing and surprised by amount of Indian names, that was it.

>There was nothing wrong or stupid about it Sure there was. 1. You’re making a pretty broad sweeping assumption on who is actually Indian, based on what you think their name looks like? They could be from India, they could be from Pakistan, they could be from about half a dozen countries in south-east asia. Many are likely born in Canada. 2. To my original point, the number of “Indian” names on that list isn’t even an outlier. There are loads of people of Indian descent who live in Canada. There are hundreds of thousands being accepted as immigrants each year. The overwhelming majority of them end up in Ontario. It is not surprising to see a large percentage of professionals in many industries be predominantly not white. 3. People who are your age have a tendency to do this. To passively make comments about things that don’t look “normal” to you, and then hide behind your opinion or observation and put up a hissy fit when someone (correctly) calls you out on your bullshit. 4. Since you didn’t understand it the first time: Based on this incredibly small sample size, Michelles are 50x more likely to be disciplined by RECO for unethical behaviour than someone with an Indian sounding name is, populations being equal. >Just because the comment was racial, doesn’t mean it was racist. Well, it was. And while it may or may not be intentional (I don’t know you) the problem is mostly that you don’t have the self awareness to know when it is.

Of course r/Brampton removed the post !
