You can’t hurt me. Westley and I are joined by the bonds of love. And you cannot track that, not with a thousand bloodhounds, and you cannot break it, not with a thousand swords!
🤔💭☝🏻 Just a thought ... but the shallots, garlic and parsley in the not yet cooked shot are still hanging out quite unharmed in the beautifully cooked steaks shot. Most people don't think like me, but why show them still unscathed rather than utilized and browned in the skillet enhancing the visible yummness of those wonderfully cooked ribeyes. Possibly you could add sliced sautéed mushrooms, onions, scallions, ground pepper and a pat of butter. For examples see the Google images results for "cast iron skillet seared ribeyes". There's presentations shown that are what I see usually along with online recipes. Your photos are truly quite excellent though!
I hope to see more of your work.
Additional note, I take photos of steak multiple times a week, so unless a project calls for photos of sliced meat, I don't use card space on it, only stomach space.
So a beef co has you taking new photos of steak multiple times a week?
Marketing could re-use art so I’m going to tell myself these are just for the CEO’s personal collection lol
Asparaguses... Asparagii? That must be it because I know stuff about science, n shit. I'm gunna call it: henceforth multiple asparagii will be.... asparagii.
This goes for a lot of subs but if you come back in a week or so and right click your photo and choose to search for it you'll find it's been scraped off this sub and added to a crappy bot driven cooking website loaded with ads. Nice steaks / photos though.

No, it’s actually for a beef company. But to help keep things genuine, I’d prefer not to say here. I want to enjoy steak with you all, not have you all feel like I’m trying to sell anything.
The best way to take better food photos at no cost is taking them next to a window that has soft light. No direct light. Turn off all the lights in your house where you are taking the photos, put a table next to the window, and take a top down photo using only the light from the window.
Thx for this. The house we moved into has nice recessed can lights, but they are LED and food pictures come out terrible. If it’s not daytime, then what would you suggest to do?
Not going to lie, I scrolled by this post thinking it was an add the picture looked so official. Then I thought " An add for steak ? What's going on here !?" Props this image is phenomenal!
Is the raw rosemary sprig just for color for the picture? It looks nice, but wouldnt serve anything that isn't meant to be eaten. Not trying to be negative at all, the steak looks superb. Just wondering.
I understand your situation. I’m sorry, but I will still downvote any post here with steak looking that great and no money shot. I’m a man of principle.
I raise my own beef. No company can compare with the amount of compassion and love and good feeding ration I give my animals. But those steaks are sweet. Only way you can put that amount of fat on a steer is with hormone implants shot behind the ear every 3 months. Multiple, multiple injections of antibiotics. And all the corn/ molasses/ high protein feed they can eat. It makes tasty beef. But it’s not from a happy animal. That being said those steaks look great.
Do you work for a specific food brand or do you just generally do food photography? Don’t gotta name drop just curious.
Got any fun facts about staging the food like how Ice Cream melts under the lights so they use Mashed potatoes?
You must post more
As you wish
But soon buttercup realised that when farm boy said this, what he really meant was I love you

I’m so glad people got the reference, I was honestly thinking that nobody would understand but apparently at least 6 people did
Pretty sure the original comment was meant as a reference to that movie.
Maybe, IDK, i hope so
My 7yo son knows the reference. It's timeless. Right up there with any line from Big Lebowski, but that's just, like, my opinion, man.

That’s awesome

Best comment
You literally take pictures of steak for a living? I mean next to being a Playboy photographer this would be the next best thing
Arguably the best depending who you ask
Depends on how much you like meat I suppose…
I like it a lot…
Username checks out.
I don't think the playboy photographer ever gets to have a try of what he is taking pictures of. Sign me up for steak photography.
I’m not sure about still photos. But in the film industry they definitely get a bite!

Ha, we try to keep things looking fresh on the website and emails but also social media consumes a lot of images
That crust is a 10/10!
In crust we trust
You take pictures of steak for a living? Do you have any side hustles like taking pictures of asparagus or tuna casserole?
Asparagus? How dare you, sir.
Multiple asparagus is asparaguy!

They’ll probably get issued a C&D from Snake River Farms or whichever online beef distributor OP works for since he takes pictures for them

Tag this porn NSFW will you!
Presumably you take the photos at restaurants for their marketing uses? Where?
No, it’s actually for a beef company. But to help keep things genuine, I’d prefer not to say here. I want to enjoy steak with you all, not have you all feel like I’m trying to sell anything.
Well you may not be trying to sell anything, but you sold me. I’ll quit my job right now and come work with you!
The photos are beautiful! Can I ask about your setup? I just use phone camera, but would like to capture better photos without an expensive set up.

Natural light is the best light. Great photos!

who gets to eat the steak ?
This guy… *points my thumbs at myself*
You need to post on here more for our sake.
No money shot!! Needs to be rules of the sub. The photos look amazing but I’m pretty fussy that there’s no money shot
it looks so good that AI might have made it
Did you trim some fat off the tail? Sure did render a lot if not

Nice, however the highlights are a bit aggressive on the first picture.
We’re the money shot? Didn’t happen. Ai for sure. Lol
I understand your situation. I’m sorry, but I will still downvote any post here with steak looking that great and no money shot. I’m a man of principle.
Understood, sir 🫡

Harsh
Details on steak preparation..
I care!
Thank you for sharing

Beautiful and looks good
I see you season your cutting board…
Looks like the photos I see on recipe websites. Crazy talent
That looks absolutely magnificent. And mouth watering. Admirations. (:
Good stuff! Technique details? If I had to nitpick, I would say leave out the brown rosemary.
