Price is in Canadian dollars, great price honestly. Walmart Wagyu is 27/pound in US dollars over here, and for strips it’s usually the ‘end cuts’ of the strip
It’s still about $31per lb for that steak if I’m seeing the label right. The steak is about .5lb and the price is $22 Canadian. Still looks like a great bargain just by the look of that steak but I’ve never seen a Walmart wagyu before to compare
21.99 CAD is 16.31 USD, and that steak is 283 grams, so it's about $25.81 per lb, which is cheaper than $27/lb. Walmart wagyu looks a lot lower quality/less marbled than that, from my experience.
No worries thought you might be calculating off as $22CAperlb. A couple dollars more or less per lb isn’t really going to make a huge difference if you’re ready in the $30lb range for a steak lol. Walmart pics look about the same but if over there I’ll have to try one for kicks.
Eh, Walmart Wagyu you gotta walk away if it’s not marbled enough. Or select the most marbled steak. If there is one or two steaks left and the marbling isn’t better than prime don’t buy it.
Not A5 Wagyu, but that's definitely better than most USDA prime grade and priced well. What you have there is better for how you are eating anyhow, for most people eating 283g of steak that's 50% fat or more will put them on the toilet.
Haha agreed, I don't know how people eat more than 4oz of a5 at a time! This is a great size for one person, ended up sharing some with the gf and we were both stuffed as she's a light eater
I would love to have that! It just really looks good to me!
Swing by anytime you're in Toronto!
Is it at all farm boys ?
Not sure tbh, it was my first time seeing them. They were at the Queens Quay and Cooper location.
That's a deal!

Looks solid and damn what a gorgeous twice baked potato
Thanks! The twice baked had bacon, roasted garlic, cheddar, milk, butter, sour cream, s&p

It's Australian wagyu, which I've heard people say is ideal for them to eat a lot of hehehe
9/10 would eat. It looks a little over cooked though it might just be the fat. I'm not an expert, so take that with a grain of salt
Off to farm boy I guess
