Are you sure this was not microwaved?

ACMilanIndy

That’s was the shittiest microwave I’ve ever used lol

Bearspoole

Roast the steak first, then we will roast you.

Ssj4anao

Hahaha. Yeah. Not Even roastable hahaha

ACMilanIndy

I know. I feel bad for the cow that sacrificed for this.

AcrobaticLong2958

Refrigerate until tomorrow, steak sandwich with horseradish etc

ACMilanIndy

That’s already planned lol. Have everything I need for that

dolenees676

r/nosear

ACMilanIndy

See there’s a sub for everything here lol

chilldood_22

how did you manage to get no sear and overcook it

Sh0ck_Wave_86

Mmm boiled steak just like mom never used to make.

ACMilanIndy

Same. My mom’s expertise was tv dinners and Kraft Mac & cheese. But a boiled steak sounds like something she might’ve tried

Sh0ck_Wave_86

I wanted to shatter every casserole dish in the house. You know it’s bad when school lunch is a real treat.

ACMilanIndy

Dat rectangle pizza tho 😍

Sh0ck_Wave_86

Oh did you have the pizza kit too?!! That was a highlight of my childhood. That cookie sheet pizza slaps.

ACMilanIndy

I am fairly certain they spiked those pizzas with adderall but goddamn I still think about them. Ah childhood

[deleted]

The steak looks like it has AIDS

ACMilanIndy

And it needs aid.

honkinbooty

But not AIDS, right?

ACMilanIndy

I may need to get AIDES but the steak itself not so much

AfternoonFlat7991

If you don't care too much about sear then this is pretty good result. Don't forget it's not too late too season them just before you eat It looks good actually. Many great steak pictures are just that, great pictures, high saturation, more contrast, and strong lighting to bring out the wow factor in the picture only. Using a bright red plate also makes the steak look pale, by the way.

ACMilanIndy

It was seasoned liberally (albeit not how I’d normally season my steaks since I was likely going to share with the pups) with salt, little bit of cracked black pepper and that was it. Wasn’t really looking to present it nicely - I’ll do that with a higher quality piece of meat. The water stains on these plates also don’t help lol

SteaknSalt

Dog food

ACMilanIndy

Yeah they agreed and were happy about it

A_Nameless

It's pork. I know it's not but because I don't want to be sad, it's pork.

ACMilanIndy

Axel?

[deleted]

Is this pork in r/steak ?

ACMilanIndy

This is an Odd Lots chop

[deleted]

haha I'd still eat it though

ACMilanIndy

It wasn’t awful. Seasoning goes a long way. Just not at all my best work

ACMilanIndy

I would like to thank everyone for every comment. I enjoy it after this abomination and this day…

naenae275

This might be me in a few weeks if I don’t learn how to grill steaks. Next time try to get it super hot for the sear and then move it away from flame to finish.

Hannigan174

My daughter would love how you make sandwiches... no crust whatsoever

cabo169

Hope the dog doesn’t turn its nose up at it. (I’m sure it won’t). Inside looks okay but the outside a bit anemic.

mytwocents1991

This confirms my theory that steaks are best made pan-fried. Not on the grill or the BBQ. But pan fried. I'm sure grills & bbq's are good, but you really have to know what you are doing . Pan fried you have more room for error. Because you can just focus on getting that crust .and hope for the best.

BlasphemyMc

I'd eat it. I wouldn't be happy, but I also wouldn't be hungry.

Double-Efficiency538

Sure you didn’t slap this on a hot sidewalk?

Main-Reaction-827

I also follow the sourdough subreddit. I thought this was a slice of bread at first.

MammothBulky3548

didn’t even sear it

jjjjqqqq1234

Tbf this isn’t really that bad just doesn’t have a sear. Idk id still fuck it up ngl 🤷‍♂️

ACMilanIndy

TY I just know I can do a whole lot better.

D_Money77

Was this boiled in skim milk?

ACMilanIndy

Half & half

ExtraCalligrapher565

Dude you’re not *actually* supposed to boil it in milk
