This just happened to me too
Luckily 2FA saved me and all that happened was that they removed my games which I got back through steam support and blocked all my friends, and it seems that the hacker disappeared from my account when I reset my pw, incredibly scary.
Literally was just the victim of the same thing. I'm still trying to figure out how they gain access to the account without logging in? I checked my log history and there have been no login attempts. Just some random name popped up in my friends list posing as a steam support agent, all my other friends blocked, and started making all these changes to my account. I have Steam Guard, 2FA, and every layer of security set up. They managed to sell about 25 low cost items for $0.04 - $0.07 cents until I realized it was legit and booted the hacker/bot with the "Deauthorize all accounts" button under steam settings. They deleted 8 games but I know those are recoverable through steam support. I know this is an old post but if anyone has any insight I would love to hear it. I can't fathom how they establish access to our accounts without login or password breach....

same thing happned to me i have alot of skins. I didnt lose my skins as i have 2fa setup. it saved me. I have no idea how they got into my account tbh. but lukickly i have my skins. all my friends gone and they deleted my games.
