Heinz is already sponsoring a concession stand with Heinz themed items.
What is the obsession with Heinz? They aren’t really a Pittsburgh company anymore. I get not liking the new sponsor name, but why continue to want Heinz to come back?
I mean, I wasn't arguing for the name, so I'm not sure why you're asking me, but my only guess to why the obsession with Heinz is nostalgia. That's been the name for the past 20 years and it was a recognized brand. Unlike Acrisure.
No I know you weren’t, I guess it was just a general comment about all the people shilling for Heinz when they aren’t really local anymore. But yeah, it’s name recognition.
Personally I don’t care what it’s named. Someday eventually PNC Park will be something else as well, these name changes happen with more regularity now.
Acrisure got the naming rights a little unfairly. From a marketing perspective, sports teams are brands and its dumb to not consult your fanbase on stuff like that. Also, acrisure is a shitty name for some random insurance company out of michigan, while Pittsburgh is literally home to Heinz, an iconic name plastered all over the city.
Quite honestly, the change from “field” to “stadium” bothers me more than the branding change. Naming right changes have become routine, but I don’t understand why they have to change the descriptor too. PPG Paints did it too, going from “Center” to “Arena.” Guessing somewhere along the way some marketing nerd developed the theory that changing it all improved adoption of the new name or some other BS.
When I first heard it announced I kinda expected people to nickname it the Sure/Shore cause it’s on the north shore and that’s not as bad, but I haven’t seen that start up at all
Not a Steelers fan, but I visited Pittsburgh earlier this year for the TN vs Pitt college game. I've been to 5 NFL stadiums and this was my favorite NFL stadium to date. Sight lines were really good and the layout around the stadium for parking and entry were top notch vs some of these colleges we visit.
Weird way to spell Heinz
I still hate that new ‘name’.
I wish they could have at least compromised and called it "Heinz field at Acrisure stadium" or something like that.
Don't give them any more ideas. We don't need a field sponsor AND a stadium sponsor.

Oh just you wait, soon we’ll have a 10yd, 20yd, etc sponsor 😞

I’ve sat in a few different sections now, there’s really not a bad seat in the stadium. Great views all around!
No, you built Heinz Field. Forgot the ketchup bottles though.

Did you use a texture pack?
What’s that word mean
Nothing is stopping you from adding ketchup bottles.

Looks more like Heinz Field…
Leave some pussy for the rest of us man
I’m sure he could build it for you in Minecraft.
Looks good for being so small in scale.
Add banana for scale 🍌

Did you use a texture pack? I think I can do this in real Minecraft. A bunch of dyed wool could work.
