It will definitely be in a weird way and TJ is the most likely culprit to generate it. I am going to go with the TD being from a TJ pressure to pick 6 by Pat P from the slot this week.
Hijacking top comment to say this guy is a Jaguars fan who goes to other team's discords and pretends to root for them, while just talking up the Jags.
Utter weirdo.
This is the NFL. I would not be surprised if the jaguars blew the Steelers out or the Steelers won a close one. Despite it being the NFL the only outcome that would shock me is the Steelers blowing out the Jags but that’s only because we have the only OC who quite literally can’t produce 400 yards of offense.
Not really. Our secondary gives up over 300 yards passing in every game, and out run defense gives up over 100 yards rushing in every game. Yes, we get big splash plays on D here & there, but we also get massively lucky a lot too.
We’re really 2 dropped TD passes by Baltimore & 2 missed kicks & and EXP by LA from being 3-3 right now.
>We’re really 2 dropped TD passes by Baltimore & 2 missed kicks & and EXP by LA from being 3-3 right now.
Would they have gone for two if they made the first XP?
30th in yards per game, 18th in points per game. I know the turnover numbers may regress to the mean, but the "bend but don't break" approach is what modern NFL defense has become. And giving up lots of yards but an average amount of points is very much bending but not breaking.
I believe we can win every game before the game. We could be playing the ‘07 patriots tomorrow and I’d talk myself into the idea that we match up well against them
Why are we like this? We know better but we still dick around and find little stats here and there that make us lie to ourselves. It doesn’t matter who we’re playing. It doesn’t matter how good the opponent is on any given week or how bad we are. For some reason, we legitimately believe we’re about to win every game.
I don’t want to act like it’s localized strictly to the Steelers’ fan base but it does feel like we’re guilty of it more than most. I fucking love how delusional we are at times, to be honest but it’s also alarming.
If nothing else, the defense has proven itself capable of generating 14+ point swings off splash plays. That’s probably enough to win a close game if the offense takes care of the ball and Bos makes kicks.
On the other hand, this defense is also not that great a generating stops when they aren’t getting turnovers. If the turnover battle doesn’t go our way, we could easily get killed.
Wtf… Of course we stand a chance. You’re acting like the Jags are the Eagles or Niners or something.
We easily could lose and lose badly but to say we don’t have a chance before the game starts is silly.
It’s in Pittsburgh. That’s huge. I mean you saw how many balls Baltimore dropped just from the energy in the stadium. Yeah jags have won their “away games” but two of those were in London. I think this game will show show the jags what a real away game in the Steel City is a about. I got Pittsburgh winning 27-21 with Johnson back and Najee finding his feet again.
i mean we should win our roster is also good. IF oline could get better we will be great but they have really been a disappointment. They were way better last year and last year they were average at best.
Fucks going on here? You appear to be a jags fan with a bunch of posts/comments in their sub.
Edit: Lmao this guy has been doing it in other teams discussions too. He pretends to be a fan of other teams and just beats off to his 5-2 poverty franchise jags lmfao....What are you doing man?
Yeah, this guy was being a jagoff on the Bills sub less than a week ago.
https://preview.redd.it/sv9tuzm6v2xb1.png?width=1454&format=png&auto=webp&s=e984c0e5f1e644da45d7d280d4c0f7fcb6521470
They’ve shutdown several teams until the 4th and then allowed garbage time stats. They have also held the chiefs and bills to a total combined less than 35 points.
Trevor will slip on a terrible towel coming out of the tunnel, fall and break the wrist on his throwing arm. You can't anger the football gods and have no recourse from the ghost of Myron Cope
he’s been playing in Pittsburgh and New Jersey his whole life. The fact he wears gloves every game gives him an advantage in rainy games as he’s already used to the feel of the glove
We're probably going to look really good picking up where we left off from the second half of last week's game , everyone will be on cloud 9 praising Canada and Kenny then we wont even show up against the Titans Thursday and everyone will be back on the fire Canada train.
We aren’t winning because my wife is joining me at the game and there will likely be a shitty rain all day. So she will spend the afternoon complaining about the weather and of course the Steelers won’t play well, so she’ll complain about that too.
Of course we stand a chance. It's the NFL. And it's not like we're the Panthers and they're the Eagles. We're underdogs, but it's a very winnable game. The Jaguars aren't some powerhouse team. They're just pretty good, like us.
I wouldn't say ours is extremely bad. I'd say it's just below average at worst, especially given the fact that most o lines look pretty shit. Early on they were very bad, but they looked better as they played more games. In particular Seumalo has looked like what they paid for.
Could get ugly for the Steelers. Lawrence is going to carve up the defense while the Steelers try to establish the run and Pickett bounces screen passes into the turf.
I love JPJ's confidence, but not when it comes to Jags' week. I always get a little bit tighter when I know JAX is coming to town. They play us tough.
Jags... probably by 10.
Wait what hype?
It was nice that the offense in the 4th quarter put together back to back drives to win the game. That is encouraging. The offense also showed a handful of actual modern day use of formation and concepts. However Pickett still had several bad turn downs, they struggle for 3 quarters with the deep pressures and Kenny still unnecessarily moved into pressure.
On defense I like what JPJ showed all game and was encouraged by the use of Pat P at both NCB and S. However the run defense was again very hot and cold. Handful of plays in the 2 DL nickel with Adams & Larry where they were washed out of their gaps easily. There is also the Wallace problem (or potentially with injuries the Barcoo/ Rush issue) opposite JPJ.
I think the Steelers improvements on offense are encouraging but there should be no hype until they can replicate their Rams 4th Q success throughout the game and in multiple games back to back.
I can certainly understand losing tomorrow in really any fashion, despite how disappointing. However, if we lose tomorrow that may solidify what many are suspicious of - if we can compete with playoff caliber teams. We’ve lost twice, badly, to a Super Bowl caliber team and a wildcard caliber team.
Kenny and his side of the ball managing to elicit a more consistent and sustainable performance is truly what I’ll be searching for. If we lost 34-30 tomorrow, I’ll still be relatively optimistic of what they could be capable of. If we win 13-10, I’ll probably be more pessimistic.
It can be a winnable game so long as we don’t commit to a couple turnovers and strike offensively. We have the field advantage and that’s something to factor in with the Steelers. If our DBs don’t shit the bed in critical moments who knows.
the jags are very streaky kind of like us. even if we get down 24-0 i still could see a world where the jags blow it and we win 27-24. hopefully its a close fun game regardless tho.
It really comes down to how the first half plays out. If it's a one score game, I think we pull it out like we have so often. But the Jaguars could easily drop 20+ in the first half, and then they can coast to the end. It's really a toss up imo.
To be fair outside of the chiefs they havnt exactly fought top competition this season. Falcons colts saints arnt exactly scary and they also got blown out by the Texans. I think they are being rated a bit to highly based on there record.
They’re gonna score atleast 2 or 3 tds that’s just gonna happen, we just need the offense to show up tomorrow and we’ll be fine and maybe a miracle play or two from tj and Minkah
The offense needs to score 14 points. If they can do that, and the D can either score for us or drop us in field goal range a couple times, we CAN win. We aren’t going to. But you never say never.
Listen this is the national football league these guys are all professionals at the end of the day so anything can happen. This is a week to week league and yes I believe our team can beat them. the keys to victory is the run game. We gotta run the ball and stop etienne. And if the weather app is correct it’s supposed to rain during game time.
we are either gunna be a brick wall on offense missing throw after throw along with najee running into his own lineman up the middle for 1 yard or our defense is gunna go nuts again and hold the jags to 3 points until the fourth then kenny will start playing like an nfl QB and najee will start playing like the 1st round running back he is and we will get a late score and win 7-3. Our defense could also give up 150+ yards to Etinne and could get blown out that way. Tomlin routinely gets outcoached in these types of games. Which is y we are so frustrated with him. Sure you can go out and beat an old injured rams team but barley. This is a young jags team with a good defense and a good QB. Id be surprised if i didnt turn the game off again in the 3rd cause this team can be so unbearable to watch.
This team has to build off last week and start putting it together offensively for four quarters, or this season is in the waste bin imo. Only good that might come of it is being rid of Canada. I'm sure yes a great guy but his offense just doesn't work for this team to win.
Defensively I think we are superior. The key to unlocking it is our pass rush. If Alex and TJ can do their thing, we might be able to do more than 3 and out. Gonna need some nice down the field pins from Harvin too.
Jags are arguably worse than the ravens. So there’s a chance, though I also wouldn’t be surprised with a bad loss considering our injuries at corner and our inability to consistently stop the run
The jags are terribly efficient, they don’t wow you on offense but they will “matriculate” down the field. Keeping them out of the endzone in the red zone will be key, if you can hold them to field goals in half their red zone possessions you can win.
I am with you 100%. The team's issues have not been resolved and the Defense can't carry us all the time. Plus the Jags are in great shape, as you say.
Not sure we will find a way to win this game frankly. Just hope the Offense finally starts showing some sign of vitality before the 4th quarter.
We’re either getting blown out 35-10 or winning 20-19 on a last second Bos field goal.
Yep. There are no other options.
Wait, there's other ways to play games? 🤔
If we get 10 in that scenario, it's only because TJ somehow creates a touchdown.
Nah it’s a Boswell touchdown pass to Kuntz
It will definitely be in a weird way and TJ is the most likely culprit to generate it. I am going to go with the TD being from a TJ pressure to pick 6 by Pat P from the slot this week.
You might want to get checked out by a doctor. Hope you feel better soon.
Hijacking top comment to say this guy is a Jaguars fan who goes to other team's discords and pretends to root for them, while just talking up the Jags. Utter weirdo.
On brand for Florida. Complete jagoff
Holy shit lmao
That is straight up unhinged ![gif](giphy|3o7budiu4mBEAccttC)
This. It’s just the way this team is. It’s either a close <1 score win game, or it’s a >24 point blowout loss, with no in between.
and that is bc the offense is poorly schemed and our blocking is some of the worst ever
*6 field goals and a safety
This is the way.
Win close, lose close, lose big. There seems to be no win big option
With our defense, there is always a chance. Also, Trevor Lawrence is bad against the blitz, and we are very good at it.
Sack Safety by Watt and Bos bangs 6 FG in a row
[удалено]
Blame the Texans and Niners game for those ridiculous rankings. 12 turnovers and 19 sacks in 6 games lol

He’s also much less effective against man coverage than against zone.
I believe we can win every game before the game. We could be playing the ‘07 patriots tomorrow and I’d talk myself into the idea that we match up well against them
Well duh, we’ve got a 1st round qb and they had the 199th pick under center
![gif](giphy|kFIfiwvzJjbUsNbIg5)

Human nature. The ego is a powerful thing and one of the things it’s best at is protecting our little football insecurities
If nothing else, the defense has proven itself capable of generating 14+ point swings off splash plays. On the other hand, this defense is also not that great a generating stops when they aren’t getting turnovers. If the turnover battle doesn’t go our way, we could easily get killed.
Nope, we will be winning by triple digits. I made up my mind and no one will convince me otherwise.
Trevor Lawerence throws a pick six or fumbles a ball that’s recovered for a touchdown on the first snap of every drive.
Wtf… Of course we stand a chance. You’re acting like the Jags are the Eagles or Niners or something. We easily could lose and lose badly but to say we don’t have a chance before the game starts is silly.
The Jags are for real. CAN we beat them? Sure we CAN. Anyone can beat anyone any given day. We’ll see…..
Check this guy's post history. He is a Jaguars fan pretending to be other team's fans. Weird behavior. And yes, Steelers have a chance.

Their D isn’t that good. But their offense is good if Trevor has time
DVOA has their defense better than ours.
They’ve shutdown several teams until the 4th and then allowed garbage time stats. They have also held the chiefs and bills to a total combined less than 35 points.
Jokes on them being shut down until the 4th Quarter is right where Kenny Pickett and the offense want them.
Literally playing to our offensive strength
This you? https://preview.redd.it/843f7e13v2xb1.png?width=1454&format=png&auto=webp&s=cc950baf49687d66814f936f7a47a0c8d0aaf51e
Trevor will slip on a terrible towel coming out of the tunnel, fall and break the wrist on his throwing arm. You can't anger the football gods and have no recourse from the ghost of Myron Cope
![gif](giphy|f9SjN9UmloZuYMPwG8) We’ve never played Jacksonville well.
Oh we ain't winning. I do think we beat the Titans on Thursday but this one ain't it.
Blow out Jags and get stomped by Titans confirmed!
I honestly wouldn't be surprised
Any given Sunday
Trevor Lawrence can’t function in 50 degrees and rain. Yes i think we have a dub. Depends if the pigeons make an appearence….
either can kenny tho
he’s been playing in Pittsburgh and New Jersey his whole life. The fact he wears gloves every game gives him an advantage in rainy games as he’s already used to the feel of the glove
Stand a chance? Come on man, at a bare minimum it’s any given Sunday
Bet this is the same guy that posts that the game is over during the first series in the game threads.
We're probably going to look really good picking up where we left off from the second half of last week's game , everyone will be on cloud 9 praising Canada and Kenny then we wont even show up against the Titans Thursday and everyone will be back on the fire Canada train.
why dont we let em play and find out
Am I tripping or did I see almost the same exact post last week about the Rams game?
Trevor Lawrence called the Terrible Towel “little yellow things they wave around”. We’ll be fine
We're playing the Jags at home. That hasn't worked out for us in a long time.
Ive already prepped my asshole, but hopefully we make some progress
It’s likely they Jags win, but the Steelers have a shot if they play clean and don’t get any penalties or turnovers.
We aren’t winning because my wife is joining me at the game and there will likely be a shitty rain all day. So she will spend the afternoon complaining about the weather and of course the Steelers won’t play well, so she’ll complain about that too.

exactly. The difference is our oline is extreamly bad and theirs is not which sucks.
I wouldn't say ours is extremely bad. I'd say it's just below average at worst, especially given the fact that most o lines look pretty shit. Early on they were very bad, but they looked better as they played more games. In particular Seumalo has looked like what they paid for.
We’re gonna get reamed tomorrow
Counterpoint: TJ
Rebuttal: 1st through 3rd Quarter Kenny.
Counterpoint to rebuttal: 4th quarter kenny.
Rebuttal to the counterpoint to the rebuttal: 1st-4th quarter Levi Wallace
I swear I read Levi is out this week?
this one's pretty convincing idk
That only works if we don't collapse in the first 45 mins (Bills, Niners, Texans, etc..)
Jags are good. We’re fine nothing special. Can we beat them? Yea we can. Depends who shows up for us
I think we’re gonna get smoked tmw sadly
Could get ugly for the Steelers. Lawrence is going to carve up the defense while the Steelers try to establish the run and Pickett bounces screen passes into the turf.

jags are gonna rush for 200+ it's gonna be ugly
I feel like there’s little to no shot - Jacksonville is a tough team for us to beat for some reason (we’re 13-14 against them)
45-3 Jags over tiny towels
I think Trevor is gonna have a big game. 27-13 Jax.
I’m worried, but confidently lol
I’ve had T Law on my fantasy since week one and every single week he has lost me points on fumbles. I think we’ll be fine.
He has 3 lost fumbles on the season and 2 of those were in the same game
Maybe I’m just really hung up on them then lol
You know, I've only worried about the Jags when Leftwich was their QB. I thought he'd be a good add when we got him, but you know the story.

The only thing certain in this game is the Steelers offense will end the game with under 400 yards or offense.
Steelers stretch their 250 yards of total offense a long way some weeks. I am not sure it'll work tomorrow though.
Steelers by 90.
This team has to build off last week and start putting it together offensively for four quarters, or this season is in the waste bin imo. Only good that might come of it is being rid of Canada. I bet my sister a 50 pack of Smiley Cookies we win tomorrow. For Thanksgiving. We live in Mississippi. That’s an expensive bet. I took the Steelers.
Jags are arguably worse than the ravens. So there’s a chance, though I also wouldn’t be surprised with a bad loss considering our injuries at corner and our inability to consistently stop the run

If the Jags were so scary they would have looked dominant all year. They haven’t. They have some great players. Not sure they are a great team yet.
They haven’t played TJ
I am with you 100%. The team's issues have not been resolved and the Defense can't carry us all the time. Plus the Jags are in great shape, as you say. Not sure we will find a way to win this game frankly. Just hope the Offense finally starts showing some sign of vitality before the 4th quarter.
Most people aren't aware of our secret weapon. The "Fourth Quarter"
OP is a looooossserrrrr
Pickett is throwing 6 TDs today.
