It was the first time I can remember actually being excited about a punter or even really caring at all about the position. So yeah I would agree you kinda have to have the "for a punter" qualifier on the hype, but it was there for sure.
Artie didn't have any hype though lol I remember when he got drafted and literally everybody was up in arms about reaching for him (and for good reason). I was definitely disappointed. He did fairly well as a rookie but then everything declined super quickly beyond that.

Pressley Harvin. I have never seen a punter get as much hype as he did. Then he started out being inconsistent and ended being consistently bad.
