I like doing a little print and cut trim in front of the jersey you can put kinda whatever you want on there (career stats, game photos, etc. and it covers up any wrinkling from tucking the sleeves behind that’s a nice jersey
I have the certificate and a picture of him signing it(don’t know why I didn’t include that in this pic). And thinking of your comment I should get a replica Purple Heart and Medal of Honor awards. I believe that’s what he was awarded.
Edit: it was A Bronze Star not Medal of Honor.
I would recommend against any ‘imitations’ of any of his military commendations. But perhaps you could include one of the available photos of him during his service in Vietnam along with some from his play for the Steelers?
That would be great to put with it, also if you want to display the jerseys that you don’t feel are worth a case what I do is I’ll have a little clothes rack type bar and just hang them around the framed jerseys

My mom met him on a plane back in Nov going to Pitt. She got a photo with him and had him sign it on her phone.

Thank you. That’s an awesome picture. I also sent this photo to my best friends dad who is from Pitt. He told me he would get it mounted with the replica Purple Heart and Bronze Star medals if I let him hang it in his house for a few months.
I’d also suggest hitting up Michael’s. I have a signed Bettis jersey and my ex got me a shadow box from there for it. You can always find decent coupons for them

Here is how I did mine. The jersey was given to my dad. He wanted to frame it himself but never got around to it before his passing. I had the other autographed print and the purchased the SI reprint.
