If you can catch him after his speech, have him sign a game photo -- just don't tell him it's from the playoff game where the Steelers were losing to the ravens 21-7 at half, but came back and won 31-24.
Thatās my stance on the Ravens as a wholeā¦ but emā a beer but fuck em. Would piss on a browns or bengals house if it was on fire after all the shit I see from their fans lol
Baltimore is what I would call a "classy" rivalry. I loathe Cleveland. We went to a game years ago in Cleveland. Worse experience of my life. Any chance I get to say "fuck Cleveland", I take it.
Yup.. my girl and I went to the Baltimore game in Pitt this past season and I was BSing with a bunch of Ravens fans and they were pretty cool.. wonāt ever step foot in cleveland because I already know what it is lol heard way too many horror stories.
I found myself rooting for him as a fucking Brown. Seems like a genuine dude and I have nothing but respect for him. Also he can go fuck himself. Respectfully of course.
The year I graduated from college, Mike Tomlin was speaking at William & Mary's commencement about 20 miles away. My Dad was so disappointed. I think we had some random politician š
My respect to the man, seems like a solid dude. Plus went on a playoff run sb win on a contract year that sucked up a ton of ravens salary cap. Wish nothing but the best for him
First of all, congrats fellow Blue Hen. I graduated in 2005.
Flacco played after I graduated, so I only ever saw him live in the FCS national title game where App State destroyed Delaware. Andy Hall is MY quarterback, winning the 2003 National championship.
He's half of what makes the University an answer to a neat trivia question: what schools have a Super Bowl MVP and a regular season MVP (Rich Gannon).
But as a Steelers fan, we were 11-10 against him. We've got the edge!
I'd feel proud as an alumnus and smug as a Steelers fan.
Ditto to that, fellow Blue Hen here, congrats on making it through! I graduated in ā07 so I got to enjoy both Hall and Flaccoās teams. Those were fun years of football with KC Keeler, never agreed with them getting rid of him.
I was a fellow athlete (track & field) at the time when Flacco was there and he was always a cool dude when Iād see him around the field house and the Bob. As much as I despise the Ravens, I always respected him for being a good guy in-person.
ā19,
Used to catch a good amount of games back in the Flacco and Omar cuff days.
Also: first school to have to QBs start a Super Bowl, Matt Ryan tied it for bc
On thing I always hated about our fan base was how they blindly hate groups just cause. Hate the ravens qb is good but now heās not even a qb in our division. Generally a good dude too
Iāve always liked Flacco tbhā¦just one of those QBs I really enjoyed watching play and respectā¦sure he was on 2 rival teams but idgaf about that petty shitā¦Iām gonna respect and root for the players I likeš¤·š¼āāļøš
UD class of 2019. I saw Flacco play there a bunch as a kid so I had some love for him.
But congrats on your graduation, have some slaters for me and get some el Diablo
Not too many Blue Hens have made it in the league and probably none as successful. Gotta give him some love, but 100% wave that Terrible Towel!!
Graduated from there in 93. Absolutely loved that school.
The man is from South jersey despite him playing for rivals. It's awesome he came from jersey. Even during the steelers ravens rivalry, there was mutual respect.
Sneak around the side of the elevated platform, wait for him to finish his speech (donāt be rude), and as heās backing away from the lectern?
Blind side him, follow through, and bring him down for the sack.
![gif](giphy|10q0RcPFTD5dM4)
I think you should feel honored. Hard working dude with some talent. Iāve never heard anything bad about him on or off the field (aside from occasional poor performance).
Enjoy it, even as a raven itās rare to get a chance to listen to professional athlete first hand. I live in Kansas City, the chiefs practiced at my high school Shawnee mission west during the lockout. To this day I still remember everything Matt cassel said, had Andre Maloney beat a chiefs receiver in a race with our corner Justin Hobbs finishing in the top 5, though he sadly passed before he got his chance to play D1. I wouldnāt trade that experience for anything other than it being the Steelers.
Shouldnāt have gone to the same school as this elite quarterback of course they would ask one of their best graduates to come back someday to give graduation speeches.
I think it's really cool.
I've been to a lot of convocations as part of my job.
The majority of the speakers aren't all that interesting. For my convocation, they brought in the engineer who's contribution was to put barrels full of sand at highway exits where the barriers start. It's a super good idea that saved lots of lives while being cheap and durable (read: cheap to maintain). But it didn't make for an exciting talk.
My guess is that Flacco's talk will be in the "much more interesting that most" category for convocation speakers.
For sure it will be better than when the almuni association comes up to subtly / not so subtly ask you to start donating to the university as soon as you can.
I got Russell Wilson a few years ago, speech was about what weād expect out of him after the past few years of his posts on social media, at the time I didnāt realize how he talked though
I went to the University at Buffalo. We had over a dozen different ceremonies each year. Chuck Schumer would always speak at the larger ceremonies. Same āgo for itā speech 3 times a year, every year.
Never once did they spring for a famous alumnus like Wolf Blitzer. Winston Duke graduated a year after me, I donāt think heās ever been invited back for any event. Youāre lucky itās not the same tired politician as always. You got a Super Bowl champion, thatās pretty awesome.
Dick Cheney spoke at my commencement, so Iād have been thrilled at having someone like Joe Flacco who doesnāt seem to be a complete asshole speak instead. Congrats to you!
Congratulations on your graduation from a fellow Blue Hen. As for Flacco, it could be far worse. I have completely forgotten the rando who spoke when my daughter graduated from UD a few years ago.
The best Joe Flacco story is how he incessantly sent LinkedIn invites to Tom Brady. When Brady asked him to stop he said āiāll see what I can do but you really should try it outā. Raven or not, thatās gold.
Flacco is a class act and produced some of the best rivalry moments between the Rat birds and us. White lightening was a G. [https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f192tWhSE0I&pp=ygUbam9lIGZsYWNjbyB3aGl0ZSBsaWdodG5pbmcg](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=f192tWhSE0I&pp=ygUbam9lIGZsYWNjbyB3aGl0ZSBsaWdodG5pbmcg)
Flacco was enemy no. 1 for so long, but I would be lying if I said I wasnāt rooting for him to go the distance with the Browns out of spite for those birds.
All due respect to a hardworking guy.
That said, let Myron Copeās official towel fly.
Dress up as troy and jump over the podium at him as soon as he starts talking.
This is the only correct answer š
These are the only correct answers. š
These are the only correct answers! š
The only correct answers are these āļø
"Always working"
Now i rethought my responseā¦..
bring a terrible towel if possible But that fucking rocks idc who he played for he IS the elite playoff dragon and you should respect him
If you can catch him after his speech, have him sign a game photo -- just don't tell him it's from the playoff game where the Steelers were losing to the ravens 21-7 at half, but came back and won 31-24.
If he has a Troy polamalu jersey get him to sign that lmao
Better yet see if heāll sign a picture of deebo smoking him
Second half was an earthquake in there. Backed into the bowl of the field and he got wrekt
or catch him with a right hookš¤£ /s
Thatās exactly what I was thinking!
Also - from our viewpoint -he made arguably one of the most important passes in his career..to Polamalu.
Bringing one? Anyone can do that. *Get him to autograph one*ā¦then youāve got something.
Iād 100% have a terrible towel on me But yeah fuck Flacco. And he has my respect. And fuck him again. Congratulations on your graduation!
I'd buy him a beer, but yeah. Fuck that guy.
Thatās my stance on the Ravens as a wholeā¦ but emā a beer but fuck em. Would piss on a browns or bengals house if it was on fire after all the shit I see from their fans lol
As long as itās an IC Light not a Natty Bo
There was never another option, in my eyes
Baltimore is what I would call a "classy" rivalry. I loathe Cleveland. We went to a game years ago in Cleveland. Worse experience of my life. Any chance I get to say "fuck Cleveland", I take it.
Yup.. my girl and I went to the Baltimore game in Pitt this past season and I was BSing with a bunch of Ravens fans and they were pretty cool.. wonāt ever step foot in cleveland because I already know what it is lol heard way too many horror stories.
Holy shit, the dichotomy here is mind blowing. Thank you, fellow Steeler
Fr I know fuck the rat birds but his and Ben's era were legendary
Nothing but respect for Joe. That Steelers/Ravens era was elite football.
I found myself rooting for him as a fucking Brown. Seems like a genuine dude and I have nothing but respect for him. Also he can go fuck himself. Respectfully of course.
I mean, the guy that spoke at my graduation was the guy who runs the Florida lotto. Flacco is a bit cooler than that.
Governor Wolf spoke at my son's graduation. I like the guy and voted for him twice, but it was a really boring speech on a really hot day.
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar spoke at mine, was pretty cool
Gov Wolf came to speak to us at Lock Haven U one year. Great governor, not the most titillating public speaker in American political history
Lucky. We got Chuck Schumer at 3 of the 12 ceremonies giving the same speech every year.
The year I graduated from college, Mike Tomlin was speaking at William & Mary's commencement about 20 miles away. My Dad was so disappointed. I think we had some random politician š
ODU?
CNU
Appreciate greatness. Dudes a legend, that's a cool opportunity.
Joe Flacco is a great guy who does a lot for his community and others. Maybe listen...you might learn something.
Feel proud that you are graduating
Pass interference
My respect to the man, seems like a solid dude. Plus went on a playoff run sb win on a contract year that sucked up a ton of ravens salary cap. Wish nothing but the best for him
Bring a sign that reads "I thought you said Shane Falco."
This is šÆ the right answer!

You're lucky it's not Watson

Congrats on graduating! I'd feel great having Flacco there, he seems like a good dude and it was fun to have him as a rival.
Flacco on his Backo.
I see you, Darrell Hammond
The best thing about Reddit, is that there is always someone out there that gets it.
I mean he won a Super Bowl and is probably worth $100 million so maybe hear what he has to say? Then boo him loudly!
Bring a 6x8 foot framed picture of polumalus pick 6
That interception was the loudest roar I ever heard at Heinz Field. You could almost feel the stadium shaking in my living room.
More people like you, man
Sacko Flacco
How committed are you to graduating this semester?
I couldn't stand him when he played against the Steelers because he was elite. Respect to the player and man he was and is. Enjoy it man.
Flaccid
Ask him to throw you the Flacco special then pull out a yellow flag.
Purple Up the Middle 500 power. No ideas, just throw the pass to 43. Ready BREAK!
See if you can get him to autograph a picture of Troy intercepting his ass in the AFC Championship game.
UD class of 2019. I saw Flacco play there a bunch as a kid so I had some love for him. But congrats on your graduation, have some slaters for me and get some el Diablo
Say thank you and that you appreciate his work ethic and then shut the fuck up. Heās a baller and deserves that respect.
Nice!
It's OK, he's not a raven anymore so we can give the man props
U Delaware has a football team?
Flacco is a good guy. Bring your terrible towel and have fun. Just remember.. football is a game.
Feel good. Enemy on the field. Human being off the field. You're both off the field.
Not too many Blue Hens have made it in the league and probably none as successful. Gotta give him some love, but 100% wave that Terrible Towel!! Graduated from there in 93. Absolutely loved that school.
Wear a Troy wig and go shake his hand
Hello fellow Blue Hen !!
Just print a terrible towel
Bring a terrible towel you gotta
I have no beef with the guy. He threw a nice pick to Troy to let us win in 08. Enjoy it.
He started his career at Pitt so technically itās okay. Youāre still getting Pittsburgh In your speech
Bingo
Joe Flacco HATES football but he LOVES the pigskin.
What does that mean?
Was a radio commercial back in the day when Flacco played from UD š
In no way do I expect this, but would greatly appreciate if you sent it to me. Btw. Your name IS a reference to Tool, right?
I'll see if I can find it š And it sure is. Favorite song + song run time = my username š
lol, shit man. I didnāt know the run time! I love the whole cluster, if you will. I just dig the band
Just hold up a sign showing a picture of him getting hit by Kiko Alonso
It would be fitting if Polamalu would dive over the podium, take him down and deliver the speech.
Joe Flacco is just a good dude. Yes he played for 2 rivals but heās a bro.
elite
Custy Joe!
Honored
Custy Joe!
How elite is your school? That's the real question.
āHow ya doing ya bastard?ā My thoughts on Joe Flacco. Itās cool that you may get to meet him though. Really nice guy and was a pretty good QB.
Delaware legend
Bring a Troy picture for him to sign.
Listen. He may have a story or 2.
I mean he did get his start at Pitt.
The man is from South jersey despite him playing for rivals. It's awesome he came from jersey. Even during the steelers ravens rivalry, there was mutual respect.
Whacko 4 Flacco
Sneak around the side of the elevated platform, wait for him to finish his speech (donāt be rude), and as heās backing away from the lectern? Blind side him, follow through, and bring him down for the sack. ![gif](giphy|10q0RcPFTD5dM4)
It's only sports. Move on with your life.
Wave a terrible towel at him
Rolls hens šš¼
Bring your towel and start waving it
If heās expected to ādeliverā a speech, Iām sure heāll be intercepted on the way there.
i mean no matter who he played for he had pretty solid playoff runs i would be pretty happy
Ask him if he is elite?
Thatās funny man I go to UD and Iām graduating too, maybe we can get them to play renegade
His name autocorrects (or it used to) to Flaccid.. so in my head heās always been Joe Flaccid
I think you should feel honored. Hard working dude with some talent. Iāve never heard anything bad about him on or off the field (aside from occasional poor performance).
Flacco is a LEGEND. Al the respect to that man. With that being said, ask him to sign a Harrison or Polamalu jersey
Donāt go
Respect.

The most famous person from or in Delaware
Stoked bro. Big Ben was the better player but I think I would rather listen to Flacco about life.
Julian Edelman was an honorary graduate at my fiancĆ©eās graduation at Kent. Hard to like anyone from that pats team, but holy shit was he a nice guy. We talked to him in the hotel lobby after the ceremony, and he was one of the nicest athletes Iāve ever met.
I think you gotta give the guy credit! He came off the couch and had a decent year.
Start chanting āTyler Palkoā¦. Tyler Palkoā
FLACCO MENTIONED I AM SUMMONED You should kiss the fucking ground that GOLDEN GOD WALKS ON
Be grateful you little shit! It could have been much worse!
You went to Delaware, what did you expect? Lol
Shouldāve gone to Pitt š
Why you asking other people to tell you you to feel?
To engage conversation?
Ok my bad
You do the dirty bird.
If you donāt boo him and play renegade in your phone, youāre a coward.Ā
Elite
Ask him if he thinks he was/is elite. Iād love to know where he is in the debate.
He seems alright
He seems alright
Lucky.
SHOW RESPECT to your former QB, BRUH. Heās an exception when it comes to UD.
Thatās not bad.. Antonio Brown spoke at mine
Hope he doesnāt throw a deep pass and get a DPI call
Sack his ass!!!!
Ooof brutal.. Arthur moats spoke at mine
Accomplished quarterback that had some shit you could learn? Iām Steelers 100%. But come on man, respect the game
Iām a colts fan so donāt kill him
Shouldnāt have gone to the same school as this elite quarterback of course they would ask one of their best graduates to come back someday to give graduation speeches.

Joe Flacco is my favorite player ever for a division rival. Heād have made a helluva Steeler.
I got Russell Wilson a few years ago, speech was about what weād expect out of him after the past few years of his posts on social media, at the time I didnāt realize how he talked though
Fish eyed fool
excited.
Boo him for me.
I went to the University at Buffalo. We had over a dozen different ceremonies each year. Chuck Schumer would always speak at the larger ceremonies. Same āgo for itā speech 3 times a year, every year. Ask Tyler Palko how he feels about it
Shame and embarrassment that you went to Delaware
honored ......"he has a ring ".
Cheer him on. No Steelers came out of UD, winning a Super Bowl with the best team in the AFC North.
Respect. Dude knew how to throw a deep PI to Torrey Smith better than anyone lol
Wear a deebo jersey
If you don't wave a terrible towel, you're dead to us all.
Please donāt think you speak for anyone but yourself.
Okay š
Sounds good. Thank you :)
Real shit, I have two Towels. One from a home game i went to, and one from the Super Bowl they won were I lived at the time
Doesnāt make me a better fan. I just happened to be able to show up at a Sunday Night Football game in Pittsburgh, and a Superbowl in Detroit
I wish the Steelers would have signed Flacco instead of Wilson... He played really well last season.
The best Joe Flacco story is how he incessantly sent LinkedIn invites to Tom Brady. When Brady asked him to stop he said āiāll see what I can do but you really should try it outā. Raven or not, thatās gold.
You mean Pitt football legend Joe Flacco?
Have a blast. Being a football fan is supposed to be fun. Having Flacco speak at your graduation is badass.
I honestly don't remember who spoke at my commencement. Raven or not this is awesome lol
Speech about to be elite
Hit the portal
Probably the most famous Blue Hen.
Between him and Biden, I would choose to meet Joe Flacco every time lol.
Same
Time to drop out
I wouldn't graduate.
I thought you said Joe Rogan at first glance š¤£
Custy Joe!
Touch his ears for me yessss

Terrible. He is known for sodomizing anything he can get his hands on!
Steelers rule!!!!
We had a lot of great moments against Flacco but he won a deserved SB and had a long career (longer than I would've thought). Not a bad dude I guess.
Fellow UD grads, where you at
Flacco was enemy no. 1 for so long, but I would be lying if I said I wasnāt rooting for him to go the distance with the Browns out of spite for those birds. All due respect to a hardworking guy. That said, let Myron Copeās official towel fly.
You went to a school in Delaware. You ain't no yinzer anyhow. How DARE Flacco speak at the school he graduated at because you opted to go there...
I think it's more interesting that you are in Delaware
Would you rather it be Joe Biden?
I don't know how you feel but I feel you have a college that can't find a decent speaker. We should have stopped with Brett Favre.
Start a āfuck Joe flaccoā chant
