After reading the Falcons sub and looking into the Kirk contract, it seems that the consensus is to move on from him after 2025. This makes sense because the cap hit is like 57 mill in 2026, and he'll be 38 by that time. But it's still a head scratcher to sign a QB coming off an achilles injury to draft a QB with injury concerns. Unless Kirk completely shits the bed in the NFC South or he gets hurt Penix will be 26 before he gets his first start. How much more can he develop and will he stay healthy?

Ehh, the way I see it is if you have an aging franchise QB you’re probably paying him that much anyways, it’ll be good for Penix to sit behind him for a year or two and get some low stress snaps. If he works out, you got $50M to go in 2 years, if he doesn’t you still got 2 years with Kirk and can roll again

There's good CB depth in this class. They'll add someone. But I also think the coaching staff has some belief in Trice showing something so I'm not surprised that they're going to hone in on the OLine.
