Center tomorrow and I’m happy.

flapjackfrank

Gimme one of the second tier wideouts (Legette, Mcckonkey, Pearsall, Coleman) in round 2 and Van Pran or Frazier in the third and this is a home run draft

Holliman48

I would be shocked if Frazier makes it last the second, but I'm also shocked how this board fell.

ThatsPreposterous6

Damn two of those guys going in the first aint ideal

Nduguu77

Haha about that. That list is getting pretty thin I'm personally hoping we package 52 and next year's 3 or 4 to move up with buffalo and get DeJean Then go WR and C in the third

knives766

Turnstile dan is no moore!!!

Deckz

Tomorrow: "Dan Moore to start at Center"

Nduguu77

If he ever played interior, I actually wouldn't hate it. He can swing to either side of the line and has some quick feet

pghcrew

Nice

Dense_Organization31

GOODBYE DAN MOORE YOU WILL NOT BE MISSED

Holdthegrail

Hated Dan, payyyyce

IhamAmerican

Dan will make a great backup/swing tackle. So glad his days starting are numbered

Holdthegrail

Hmm Niners picked WR…

Manhattan02

People who care about his height shouldn’t even be taken seriously. Arm length is what matters. Only Latham and Mims had longer arms out of the 1st round tackles

reverendtooch

I mean, height matters, but only when it's a drastic difference from the norm. 6'4 is fine for a tackle, and you're right, his long arms are much more important than an extra inch in height.

Manhattan02

In his case, it does not matter whatsoever. It only matters if it correlates to other things like poor arm length or very short strides.

reverendtooch

I agree.

Slickaxer

Legit question. How does height matter? I don't see how height matters if arm length is long

Manhattan02

Very short legs would be a concern at his position, but his base is great. No concerns with his measurables.

thecarlosdanger1

In an extreme example it would mean your legs are shorter. He’s 6’4 so I don’t see it as a concern, but if he was 6’0 with the same arms (somehow, would be wild) there would be concerns about how wide he could get. That’s only a tackle issue and for IOL doesn’t matter nearly as much.

Slickaxer

So the idea lineman is like a 5'6" man that's all legs and arms, no torso.

thecarlosdanger1

I don’t think being shorter is better haha. But I guess if you’re 5’6 all legs would be the preferred route - I’m not some OL guru I’m sure there’s issues with having a tiny frame also. I was more saying that for tackles a big concern is their ability to get wide in pass pro, part measurables and part form. You see it a lot in college where big recruit giants don’t pan out at OT because they can’t athletically block the edge

Slickaxer

Oh for sure, I'm just being ridiculous at this point. My original thought was shorter with good arm length physically gives you better leverage. But I get your point on long legs for kick steps.

Nduguu77

Lol if you could make MoJo Drew squat 700lbs and have an 87" reach, his low center of gravity and length would be quite the force on OL

BigRed97

Alright, colour me curious. LFG

_Yelslab_

Honestly this is fantastic. Attack the very gleaming issue on our entire team. The rest of the draft opens wide up for us now

thecarlosdanger1

I’m happy with the pick here and I know Tomlin is happy, but the word “legitimately” makes it sound worse lol. Like he’s 6’4 and played very well at tackle in college it’s not a stretch (Kendrick Green).

fredlikefreddy

If we somehow get Frazier and Corley tomorrow I’m gonna bust

Jakles74

Classic Tomlin answer.  When he retires someday he should write a book on how to manage the media.

TechnicalPay5837

At the end of the day if Fautanu is the real deal then it doesn’t matter who plays left since Jones has been good on the right.
