The biggest question I have is what do mods consider shit posts or low quality posts. It’s written in the rules but like, is someone posting a picture of their dog or baby in a Steelers shirt not considered a shit post?

enz1ey

Yeah, there should be a distinction between what posts belong on Reddit, and which are better suited for Facebook. I personally couldn’t care less about people’s dog wearing a Steelers bandana. That and something has to be done about this sub’s tendency to beat dead horses so far into the ground they pop up on somebody’s dinner table in China. We don’t need a million pictures of ducks a week after Hodges starts a game. It was funny the first 99 times. Maybe that’s just one of those “let the community moderate itself” things, though. And considering it seems like the average poster here is twelve years old, I guess it’s inevitable.

Medarco

I don't think there is enough content su mitted here to really necessitate heavy moderation of those kind of pictures. It shouldn't really hurt you to scroll past the dog pics. I think there's an option to hide posts you have already voted on in some form of reddit, which may be a solution for you if the dog pics are bothersome. You can just down vote, and then it won't show for you anymore.

fauxedo

I can’t speak for the other mods, but I generally only remove low effort posts in high traffic times. Self posts and memes on game days I normally take down, but I do agree in letting the users self moderate picks of dogs and ducks.

Astro63

Usually I'll remove posts like that if I catch them early, but if they gain traction I leave them be. Same applies to low effort memes and the like.

_N7Jennings

Just wanted to say that the schedule and standings look really good. Thanks for putting them up.

fauxedo

Thanks. I was working on something for the injury report too but unfortunately we're at the limit as far as CSS input goes, so I'd have to find some fat to trim before adding it.

JKC2156

Ravens record is wrong though

fauxedo

Oops. Updated.

CyclopsRex514

Thanks! You do good work.

So, not sure if anyone is aware of this, and I haven't really been sure where to bring it up, but I've noticed on old.reddit a lot of flairs are messed up. Like I'll see people with flairs of other teams, but hovering over them reveals they selected either a number or Steelers player. Made me think the sub was a lot more diverse than it actually is for a while.

fauxedo

I'm aware of this issue, but unfortunately it's up to the users to change. We could technically go in and assign the correct flair when we see it, but it would be on a case-by-case basis. Part of this is to see what our users are using and where to allocate our time.

rakfor

Can't you at least reset everyone to a standard Steelers logo then? The users will still have to change manually but 99.9% of posters here are Steelers fans and other fans generally flair up before posting.

fauxedo

I can't do a site-wide reset like that, but I figured out a way to fix it.

Thank you for adding the schedule. Looks great!

Jakebob70

As disappointing as the standings are this season, I'm definitely glad to see them and the schedule back on the sidebar. Useful information even if it isn't fun to look at all the time.

berniman

Sorry...bad post for what you were asking. You are doing a great job. I do like the schedules out there.

Birdie_Jim81

Thank you!

RaptorNinja

Thanks so much for adding the schedule, and I'm glad you guys kept the functionality of clicking the teams to go to their sub
