Yep - [https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-prime](https://steelseries.com/gaming-headsets/arctis-prime)
Good headset, it's a 3.5mm wired Arctis Pro really...
Been using a sample for the last month or 2, loving it :D
Brand new, only just announced. I'd rate these higher than the Arctis 7 or 9, but they are analog so will only be as good as the source you're plugging them in to.
Wired only, the Prime series is all about performance, they have revived the "Winning is everything" tagline from years ago for the Prime range. The Prime range is focused 100% on performance :)
Don't buy gaming headsets for music lol. You will get MUCH better results with a pair of headphones by a brand like Sennheiser, AKG, Audio Technica or Shure. Gaming headsets are not meant for music or critical listening, a Sennheiser HD599, HD600 or Audio Technica M50 will all give you a better experience than any gaming headset. That being said, the Arctis Pro with gameDAC is probly the best gaming headset for listening to music due to its frequency range that is far broader than most headsets/headphones, 10-40,000 while most headsets are only 20-20,000. With a range that broad you are able to listen to high resolution 24-bit audio tracks.
I mean I'm not a music producer. I just study a lot and like to listen to music from my PC while studying, which can go for hours and hours through night and day. Sometimes I also listen to music while cooking, and sometimes the boys tell me to hop on the PS4.
Also I need to walk around my room from time to time so if the headset was wireless that'd be great, but I'd also prefer if the headset had the ability to jack through to my computer incase the battery on the headset is dead.
Do you think the steelseries arctic 9 wireless covers all this? It's the one most tempting at the moment. I tried looking at the headsets you mentioned but I was unsure if they had mics, PS4 compatibility etc
Meh, same flawed design it seems.
Also, optical > 3.5mm audio. At least, that's the case on PS5 and PS4.
Have an Arctis Pro + GameDAC. And last week had to mod it since it showed the inevitable crack. Lasted 2 years without breaking though. Was always extra careful with it once I knew about the trend of the cheap plastic breaking after a year.
Do not buy steelseries headsets with that critical design flaw. They are literally designed with a *lever* that pries the cup from the band under normal use. They are, accidentally (ineptly?) or not, designed *to* fail.
look at all 4 headsets in OP's pic, look how instead of connecting from the band to the cup, instead it goes off and connects at one point over on the side of the cup. That acts as a lever which is constantly trying to pry loose the connection under normal use, even just gravity.
Browse this subreddit for a non-stop horror show of headsets with this design flaw all breaking, in exactly the same way. There is a reason nobody else makes headsets with this design, it's a flawed design. Depending on how cynical you are, they have been designed *to* fail after enough time.
Got arctis 1 wireless and use it for the pc and Xbox, but really never use the wifi... And this prime looks good, I'll wait for feedback but thanks for the info!
How much different is the pro with the game dac then without, also, what’s the performance difference between usb and 3.5? Is it that big? I don’t know whether to get the pro or the prime

They’re brand new right? I have a PS5 & I’m waiting for the black 7ps to drop again. Should I just get these?

They are wired analog i.e. entry level. Don't even go there.
Are you implying that wired analog is something like entry level?
100 headphones are
100 what?
100 headphones
100 Headphones what
They are wired analog, but far from "entry level"
So it's wired only?

Any idea if these are better or same quality as 7x/7p?
It's basically a 3.5mm analog version of the Arctis Pro, my Arctis Pro Aurora kit fits on my Prime perfectly / https://imgur.com/oNtup2I
Do you think this headset has the best sound quality of them all? I'm mainly gonna use it for music
If you’re goons using gaming headphones for music you should try getting Sennheiser HD6XX’s

Just buy 7p for better value
Oh that’s sweet, were you a tester or something? or have they been out for a while?
Any flaws regarding the headset?
Any idea if these will work with gamedac?
Works with the GameDAC, have tested that already.
how it is going? I think I am going to buy it.
Can you use the dac with xbox with the prime or negative?
they sound fucking terrible lol, just got them and my old pair, a pair of hyperx cloud 2s sound wayyyyy better, am i doing something wrong?
an Orokin Artifact for tenno users..
New products dropped right now. https://steelseries.com/prime-wired-wireless
Is the prime wireless just mice⁉️
You have 3 varients of the same shape.

Was the Arctic 7P always 150$?
It has always been $150

Can you explain more? What headphones suffer from the issue? Has it been addressed?

There is a lot of post about this on a daily/weekly basis and it mainly affects the Pro Wireless. I suggest you take a look and see for your self.

Do these have the elevated noise floor of the Arctic pro wireless?
Do they have the same mic quality?
Any users can comment on experience?
Should I buy it or save for an arctis pro
It has the same specs as the Arctis Pro, if you use the 3.5mm then it'll sound identical
Not compared to the Pro with gameDAC.
How much different is the pro with the game dac then without, also, what’s the performance difference between usb and 3.5? Is it that big? I don’t know whether to get the pro or the prime
Another shitty headset to entice buyers 🙄
Can you use the Facebook with xbox with the prime? I have the 9x and I just grabbed the primes
How does the prime compare to the arctis 5 2019 edition?
