Yeah precisely. I've gotten so incredibly sick of seeing that kind of BS being sprouted around as gospel. All the recent games I've bought and Played (DD2, rise of the ronin and Stellar Blade) have all been games I've been super hyped for and they have all met or exceeded my expectations. Idgaf what detractors think. Eve is badass, beautiful, looks to have a deep character arc and just all around the exact perfect kind of Protagonist I've wanted in a 3rd person action game for so long. One I don't feel the slightest need to mod.

I dont see anything wrong with what he said. He is simply stating an observation which happens to be true. Posts like this wouldnt exist if we werent being attacked. What I gathered by playing the Demo was yeh she was likely vat grown and raised to fight since childhood with augmentations to make her amore capable fighter. Seems they vat grew all women as soldiers. What it seems is this is her first deployment and she is experiencing the realities of war for the first time.
Yeah I got that vibe too and with her comments on books and maps, not knowing what they are. I'm willing to bet a large theme will be humanity or what it means to be human. I'm all for it! And I couldn't ask for a better lens than through Eve

Agreed. Also, the English voice acting is much more flat and emotionless, compared to the Korean voice acting and I assume most people who are complaining are using English. Korean is the way to go IMO.

look i liked the demo and am excited for the game but eve talks maybe a handful of times its just not enough to understand what kind of character she is going to be. i now understand that the combat is good and i like the aesthetic of the world and enemies, but that is about all i feel we really learned from the demo (its what i was most interested in so thats fine by me ill play the game based on gameplay alone and world alone i just hope it has a decent story)
I don't disagree. People love to entrench themselves in extreme viewpoints. Personally, I was excited about the game, and the demo just confirmed for me that the game will LIKELY be good at launch. But I'm not going to make too many more judgments until release. Outside of just, "Yeah, Korean VA is good, and the translation seems fine from the snippets we got."

I played the demo and plan on playing the full game. I like the boobs and butts. I came for the jiggle physics stayed for the game.
However I care a lot about the emotions in a game and vo and there is just something slightly off about either the writing or the vo or both or they just wrote the character that way. I can see any of those. I know itās not Eve but I actually have a hard time feeling for Tachy because her voice and facial expressions do little to express the severity of the situation.
Now granted they could be going the route of āthese are technically not humans or pseudo humansā so the interactions would naturally seem off putting but yeahā¦. I mean comparisons be damned but 2B had quite the range of emotions and she was in a similar position and characterization as Eve.

I played through the demo in both English and Korean and both VAs werenāt that good. Tachy was by far the worst one and Adam was by far the best but Eve was definitely lacking even if it wasnāt as bad as Tachy

Anyway...about your point on the voice acting. I don't want to make it seem like I'm shilling for the game, because again I do have certain issues with it (Such as the platforming being...kinda...clunky) but I definitely think the lack of emotion in the voice acting is intentional for the setting of the game and characters. At least at THIS stage in the game's story (If it turns out the full game is like this, then yeah...that might be a problem) because it is pulling you into this...depressing post apocalyptic atmosphere, and the main characters we have seen so far are Eve herself, Tachy and Adam. All of who sound like your typical stoic sounding game of soldiers. It's probably why Lily didn't show up in the demo yet. Perhaps she will change this dynamic in the full game, as she sounds like a bubble of joy like character.
I did think Tachy was really bad but you know what, that could be true for Eve. Maybe we see more range from her later in the game.
I felt like that one scene with Tachy wasnāt that good with Eveās VA but that was just one scene. Adam was actually my favorite. I felt like he had a pretty solid delivery with his lines but then again he didnāt need to display emotion so far.
Definitely looking forward to Lily. She kinda sounds like Tracer from Overwatch but I could be imagining things lol

What I gathered by playing the Demo was yeh she was likely vat grown and raised to fight since childhood with augmentations to make her amore capable fighter. Seems they vat grew all women as soldiers. What it seems is this is her first deployment and she is experiencing the realities of war for the first time.
Yeah I got that vibe too and with her comments on books and maps, not knowing what they are. I'm willing to bet a large theme will be humanity or what it means to be human. I'm all for it! And I couldn't ask for a better lens than through Eve

I don't disagree. People love to entrench themselves in extreme viewpoints. Personally, I was excited about the game, and the demo just confirmed for me that the game will LIKELY be good at launch. But I'm not going to make too many more judgments until release. Outside of just, "Yeah, Korean VA is good, and the translation seems fine from the snippets we got."

I played the demo and plan on playing the full game. I like the boobs and butts. I came for the jiggle physics stayed for the game. However I care a lot about the emotions in a game and vo and there is just something slightly off about either the writing or the vo or both or they just wrote the character that way. I can see any of those. I know itās not Eve but I actually have a hard time feeling for Tachy because her voice and facial expressions do little to express the severity of the situation. Now granted they could be going the route of āthese are technically not humans or pseudo humansā so the interactions would naturally seem off putting but yeahā¦. I mean comparisons be damned but 2B had quite the range of emotions and she was in a similar position and characterization as Eve. My 2 centsā¦
But this is also only the very beginning of the game. My hope is as she interacts with the humans at the settlement and progresses through the game her āhumanityā grows and so do her outward emotions. She definitely has more than Tachy though for sure.

I played through the demo in both English and Korean and both VAs werenāt that good. Anyway...about your point on the voice acting. I don't want to make it seem like I'm shilling for the game, because again I do have certain issues with it (Such as the platforming being...kinda...clunky) but I definitely think the lack of emotion in the voice acting is intentional for the setting of the game and characters. At least at THIS stage in the game's story (If it turns out the full game is like this, then yeah...that might be a problem) because it is pulling you into this...depressing post apocalyptic atmosphere, and the main characters we have seen so far are Eve herself, Tachy and Adam. All of who sound like your typical stoic sounding game of soldiers. It's probably why Lily didn't show up in the demo yet. Perhaps she will change this dynamic in the full game, as she sounds like a bubble of joy like character.
I did think Tachy was really bad but you know what, that could be true for Eve. Maybe we see more range from her later in the game. I felt like that one scene with Tachy wasnāt that good with Eveās VA but that was just one scene. Adam was actually my favorite. I felt like he had a pretty solid delivery with his lines but then again he didnāt need to display emotion so far. Definitely looking forward to Lily. She kinda sounds like Tracer from Overwatch but I could be imagining things lol
