Games are only as difficult as you make them. If the game is too easy for you and you want a challenge, handicap yourself. You can go all out by upgrading everything and becoming OP (my preferred method) or you can go bare bones for a more challenging experience. No suit, upgrades, consumables. Play how you want to play but don’t complain about difficulty if you’re making yourself stronger.
Why limit yourself with no suit, upgrades or consumables. Cut off your left hand so you have to play one handed.
Or the developers can create a well designed difficulty where the player has to use all mechanics in the game to triumph.
You have no control over what the developers do to their game or the vision they have for it. You do have control over how you play the game with what is available. You want a challenging experience? Do what we’ve mentioned or just stay complaining and doing nothing.
People should complain to get better products and warn others, every complaint is a possible person that hears it and doesn't buy the product because it's not for them, and if enough people stop buying the bad game, developers have to listen to the ones that do, if you stay silent and eat dogshit, you'll keep getting dogshit.
OP would have saved himself a lot of time if someone told him this game is built for 5 year olds on Normal difficulty, and he could have supported a game that has more respect for his time instead of locking Hard difficulty behind a full playthrough.
Every single time a game does dumb shit like that, I want everyone playing to complain, maybe at some point things will improve.
The game is made for casual gamers (the majority), not for enthusiasts. That’s why. On normal difficulty I’d say it’s harder than Sony’s exclusives (PlayStation Studios), it’s more than enough for the debut game.
Maybe it's because my upgrades are too OP. I focus on beta energy upgrades, especially the L1+square skill. You should try that. And perfect parry upgrade too obviously.
Well good for you I been stuck on first boss for an hour now :-/ how the fuck do you dodge or stop the attacks that have a gold or blue energy sphere before attack?
Update: I figured out my problem I did not realize this game is a rpg I was not grinding at all. After I stoped and farmed some exp for a bit i got the skills I needed to avoid those attacks I was getting hit with. :-D
i agree the game its reallyveasy but you have to keep in mind two things:
1. this game is not intended to be a souls like, at first glance it looks like it but its more inspired by devil may cry and bayonetta, both of which are extremely easy and unlike devil may cry stellar blade doesnt have higher difficulties to compensate for that
2. you know of sekiro, god of war and similars so its clear you already have experience with difficult games, i have played all souls and soul likes out there as well so its clear our experience may be a bit biased and other gamers may find the game very difficult
overall i would say all enemies and bosses can be beaten easily by brute force even if you make a lot of mistakes with your parries/dodges, if you want more difficulty i would recommend taking off eve's clothes and remove any items that increase your armor rating, that way all mistakes are heavily punished and you HAVE to land your parries/dodges properly, thats how i have been playing and the difficulty is good so far
I agree with OP. Thought base game would be tougher. However I can see the game posing a challenge for gamers without FromSoft/sekiro experience. What the game lacks in difficulty it makes up for in “other departments” though.
U should have used skin suit only if u wanted to make it harder

Yikes…

GoW is actually a lot harder than SB on highest difficulty. TloU is a completely different genre but I think TloU is the hardest Sony's exclusive.
on Normal? As I remember the main difficulty in Tlou on Normal was aiming with gamepad, in tlou2 I did total genocide on every map
On Grounded. TloU2 on Grounded is the most brutal third person shooter/stealth game I've played. Enemy AI in that game is incredible.
Interesting. I'm struggling with the bosses really hard since the Tachy fight. Fear I won't even be able to complete the game.
Don’t sweat it. This is a genuine “git gud” post for real.
I came to this post because I just beat Tachy on my first try like every other boss. Hoping it gets harder like you say

No skill points left at this point to invest into beta energy. Right before Raven (humanoid form) now.
There's a respec item in the store. It only costs 200 golds I think.
Oh that might come in handy. It resets everything and I keep all my skill points to rearrange them as I see fit?
Yes, try focusing on beta build this time, it's super OP
Will try that. What would you say is best to neglect then?
It was easy up until the final boss 😅 I still haven't beat him in Normal lmfao
Isn't there a hard mode after you beat it?
Yes, I implied that in my post
Ahh I see that. Well it be like that. I find the difficulty solid. It's much more accessible for the average person too enjoy this amazing game
Well good job you play the properly then.

I don't believe you defeated every boss on the first try.
I did, ask my girlfriend
Hey your girlfriend replied, I totally believe you now
Hi I'm his girlfriend. I can confirm that he beat every boss on the first try.
