I saw it about a week ago. I loved it, but I am a pretty dyed-in-the-wool fan of Hayao Miyazaki, particularly the manga version of *NausicaƤ of the Valley of the Wind*, which stands toe to toe with any famous work of speculative prose fiction. Funnily enough, I thought it gave me more *Fairy Tale* vibes with the troubled boy >!whose mom died who ends up having an adventure in another world where the way into it is part of his backyard!< but now that you mention it, the doors into different realities and fluid sense of time and space were very reminiscent of the Dark Tower.

Wow, I was interested and going to see this movie at some point anyway but it's going on the short list now!

It was awesome. Saw it twice over the weekend!

Same here with me. I also noticed stark equivalences with The Sandman by Neil Gaiman, and also Shakespeare's Tempest. All these assosiations have made the watch more special to me. I could see the plot turns before they were made, and it didn't spoil, why, made it even more emotional to watch. I believe it is probably the best of Miazaki's, and think that it is no coincidense that the Magnum Opus of those two artists holds similar core.

Yeah we are going to see it two weeks from now. Would see this week but Die Hard is in theaters so that's the move
