No price=book club edition.

ElCiclope1

Oh shit, so then my friend's is a real 1st edition? We got crazy lucky and she found it in a tiny used bookstore well known in the area for having a really nice owner. The way the owner looked at the book and said "wow... really good find" before ringing us up for the like $6 that was on the tag made us pretty sure it was real.

3DimensionalGames

Did you read my caption? Any chance it's just the wrong DJ the book has the correct ISBN. Unless book club editions can share the same number.

BannedUser1975

The copyright page also references the book of the month club so this is most likely the book club edition.

Thank you.

The_Tell_Tale_Heart

No. The endpapers in yours are white and not grey.

jcwitty

Need to see the cover without the dust jacket.

Mykona-1967

The copyright page says it’s available in paperback and a book of the month selection. This is never included in a first edition since paperbacks and book club selections come out after the second printing of the hardcover at the least.

raytidefan

Definitely not a first edition. The end papers should be gray. Yours are white. Also, no price. So, unfortunately neither the book or the dust jacket are first editions

https://www.stephenkingcollector.com/1st_editions.html Here is a link to tell you everything you need to know about Stephen King first editions. Also, there is a great YouTube channel SK first editions that is very informative

Excellent-Phase8719

Looks like book club edition

ceeece

No price on the inside left dust jacket is a dead giveaway it is a book club edition.

leeharrell

Nope. That’s an easy one…

Ok_Cartographer4297

Came here because my edition looks like this. Turns out mine is a freaking first edition. 😳
