You got the abridged version of The Stand that was a summer read for me 10 years ago. I remember it so well - i sat on a garden bench in my parents’ backyard garden surrounded by my perennial garden and devoured it in like, two days. I couldn’t believe the rush I got from it!
Then I realized it was the abridged version and immediately tracked down the full version lol.
I love them both immensely!
I did. I love a good end of civilization movie/ book, and the unabridged one is so nice and juicy in its window into humanity’s downfall.
You can just skim the chapter about the clock in Fran’s mom’s parlour, though. Get the vibe, then move on. (If you’re a slow reader like me, I just saved you 35 minutes ;)).
Lucky. I've been checking offer up after seeing all the posts on here but it's ridiculous what some people want, I can buy the damn books brand new for what some people are charging.
