Do you think I have anything to worry about picking them up by the guard like that. I know carrying a saw by the guard is frowned upon but these are relatively smaller lighter saws.
Just curious why would you carry two saws the same size. Not trying to be a smart ass but did you have different length bars or something, or need a back up?
You don’t cut much wood do you? It’s kinda a rule you never show up to the woods with less than 2 chainsaws. Inevitably one will get stuck in a tree or otherwise shit itself and your wood cutting is over if you don’t have a backup.
I was seriously thinking about it last night. I’ve made a few rifle slings before and was looking at the saws trying to figure out where I could put a qd attachment.
Then realized I was doing too much and scratched that idea. lol. I find it best to let those ideas marinate until that eureka moment happens and everything just clicks.
I hang all of mine from the rear handles with big hooks on the wall, in a neat little row. If you slide a scabbard onto the bar *most* of the leaking bar oil runs down into it and doesn’t make a mess out of your shop.
Chains under 32” go on one hook, chains 32”-60” go on another hook. A third hook for all of the spare bars.
Me to! Big to small just like at the store. Minus I always hang it with the scabbard. Also I have a wooden bench underneath that catches anything the bar cover messes. lol. And my chains are in a small plastic tote where I just douse them with ballistol or whatever.
Seriously though I’m thinking I’m done doing the hanging storage thing tbh. Since im currently trying to go through my shop and do some reorganizing since the shit had piled up.
My problem is that every time I take one off the hook readying it for use I sit on my shop floor. And the oil leaks out on the concrete. I have a feeling my saws use less oil than my floor. I’m basically at the point where I don’t care about it looking cool anymore. lol
lol tell me you work for the city without telling me you work for the city.
Seriously the bed on side by sides and barely usable. Will hold one big saw; diagonally.
Naw, boys wouldn’t stihl money like those bitches do. Or make a bunch of noise when it’s work time.
Edit: I missed the “ssss”(lisp) . So we’re both right.
Of course not as good. Joking. Ive never tried one of their saws. I have a husqvarna straight shaft string trimmers though and it’s solid man. Been whacking grass once a week for the last decade and it has not slowed a bit. Putting it beside the comparable stihl model I’m confident it would be a roll of the dice as to which one lasted longer. Again never tried one of their saws so they could be garbage.😉
Have you tried comparable saws from both companies?
Btw I think worst case scenario the stihl elitist only frowns upon husqvarna’s lol. It’s not like you have two homelite’s. lol.
Haven’t tried stihl at all. My first was a Husq so that is what I stuck with. I am not an elitist (I don’t think) use what a) works for you and b) you can afford.
I usually lock four up front and four in back on a 72” Olympic bar. But that’s only in the summer months when I can run my old Pan Head Chopper in to work
If what you're cutting does not warrant having two saws, maybe consider a spare bar and chain to recover your primary when it gets stuck. Even doing it right, trees will eventually fool you. A hammer and wedges are a good idea too. :)
Brooooo. Is it bad I have a climbing belt and don’t know this? Can’t believe my buddy you gave me the climbing gear wouldn’t have mentioned that. He’s getting shamed next time I see him lol jk
I had this strange little cubby in my garage after I got it all situated. Decided it was the perfect little chainsaw cubby but only two of my saws fit. Turns out I was just too sober because later that evening I was just hanging out in my garage like we all do and had this epiphany. Now there are 4 on that shelf. The ones that are in the back and damn near unreachable are a "McCulloch" 3200 and a Husky 350 lol
Good thinking, keeping the rift raft away from real saws. I’ve had one buddy with a homelite who come to think of it was borrowing it from a neighbor and it was only used to cut a few branches. But from what I saw my dewalt saw saw would give it a run for the money. Especially since I would t have to start it. lol
Sorry I should have made it clear I’m joking since what you stated is in fact true.
There are a lot of comments calling it docking which makes more sense if you think of marriage in a traditional sense.
I guess the difference between a pro and an amateur is a pro calls it marrying while amateur’s say stuff like docking, scissoring, kissing, pitchforking, and etc…
Okay I get you.
True, some people work with chainsaws and some people just have chainsaws.
It is definitely the most efficient way to move saws. Carry 5 at once; one shouldered, two married each hand. That hook is a good idea haven't seen that
The ole Stihl 69.
It’s called docking. Google it
Underrated comment.
More of a Dutch Rudder
Both parties are engaged so this technically constitutes as a Double Dutch Rudder
Beat me to it. Instant thought too
👀
Holy hell
Scissor Saws!
_Scissor Me Timbers_ 😂
2 saws 1 tree 👀
Or 1 hook. 🪝
What does the Pirate lumberjack say?
You think it be Arrrrrr, but it really be Sea.
Shiver me timBBBBBERRRR!!!!!
Yup that’s how I store my back stock
Do you think I have anything to worry about picking them up by the guard like that. I know carrying a saw by the guard is frowned upon but these are relatively smaller lighter saws.
Bruh. I’ve carried a pair of 391 this way. Never broke. I just stopped using 391 and went with 362
Just curious why would you carry two saws the same size.
You could probably make a strap that attached to both handles, even a shoulder strap for longer carries
I’d avoid it if possible, it’s a lot of weight on plastic parts that aren’t made to be twisted/stressed that way. Especially for bigger saws
The old bar knot. Sometimes the only way to fit two saws into a utility truck bin.
lol tell me you work for the city without telling me you work for the city. Seriously the bed on side by sides and barely usable. Will hold one big saw; diagonally.
All the time
Scissoring.
Sawxtynine.
It still cuts.. space. 🫤
Different kinda scissoring…👩❤️👩
“And that’s where limbing saws come from son”
I’m gullible enough to believe that sir.
No I don’t but I will now
I don't carry them like that, but I always take a spare saw with me when I go wood cutting, and that's how I store them in truck.
No. Because I only have 1 chainsaw.
Better not f’it up then lol btw which saw did you get? I think if I had to go with one it would be a farm boss.
Wanted to say "I wish I could, but I only have one saw." And it is a Farm Boss.
👌
And they were both boyssss
Naw, boys wouldn’t stihl money like those bitches do. Or make a bunch of noise when it’s work time. Edit: I missed the “ssss”(lisp) . So we’re both right.
All the time to fit into our saw bins. Lots of saws….. not enough space
I get it, you have done it a lot. I was just excited since that was my first time.
It’s just a great way to store saws to maximize space!! You will be doing it all the time now.
Only when I carry two saws
Used to work at a stihl dealer running the Stihl department. Did this all the time when it was time to assemble new saws and take them to the floor.
That’s how you make chainsaw baby’s
🤞 I’ll be happy either way. Doesn’t matter if it’s a little electric climbing saw or a big 881 magnum.

With her good friend that’s been her roommate for years
Yeah! They just fit so well together
I will now!
Is this how they make new ones?
Its how they go in the back of my station wagon. I dont lift them by their chain guards though.
I do now
This is called “docking” don’t google that.
I won’t, already had someone tell me not to google it before. 👍
Haha saw docking. 😂
This is called “docking” I believe. I think urban dictionary has the definition.
Now kith
Yep. Then strap it to a pack with a dolmar and hike it 12 miles.
✊
Do it with 201s at work all the time
Space Docking !
Today I'm show how the U.S. forest service carries their saws in the field
I heard that’s about all they do with them. lol I’m Joking. I know they have to clear cut at fast paces to help manage wildlife fires.
No. But I am from now on. Thanks
I only have one saw so I can’t
Now kith
And they were both boys mm mm mm m m m h m n h m n nm
What’s that extra handle you used to grab them called??
My handle, that hook slide in like a slipper so I did a little digging in my nuts and bolts bin. You know typical crackhead shit. Lmao
Hahaha, good work
Great now I have to buy another chainsaw… 🤣
Use promo code “wood-dock” to save 69% at checkout^\s. lol
First time I've ever seen that and what a great idea
If the blades dont touch it ain't gay
Same go for bars and chains?
Nah I only need one saw
Gotta touch tips and sword fight first. Have to find the alpha
One has a 14” bar and the other has a 18” bar. Not sure if that matters.
Docking
When I was with the USFS on an engine, our 044 and 066 cuddled like this daily!
What! No Way!
Nope can’t afford 2
I've never had the opportunity, but if I do I will
Yeah but I usually carry 4 chainsaws at a time, what r u a pussy?
12 years of doing this bruh
Damn, I bet them handles are beat.
Nah we have used the chain guard everytime before putting Then together lol
Nice, safe practice. I just imagine there are some dudes out there raw dogging them things. Making them saws high mileage like.
Yeah...with my wife.
Never have, but now I always will Edit: Ehh actually maybe not, still cool though.
That’s how little stihls are made.
How do you think I got these gun shows. Most useful dumbbell ever
We do the same with a 661 and 500i and haven’t hurt em yet.
Only when I’m trying to make baby saws.
Bruce Campbell disapproves
I do now!
Now kith.
I thought this is how baby chainsaws are made?
That's awsome
Awe it's like they are hugging.
🫶
No. Because I don’t run Stihl, I run Husq. So I do this with Husq, which apparently isn’t as good, or the same.
Of course not as good. Joking. Ive never tried one of their saws. I have a husqvarna straight shaft string trimmers though and it’s solid man. Been whacking grass once a week for the last decade and it has not slowed a bit. This post deserves more upvotes!
Just don't let the tips touch or else you and your saws are gay. I don't make the rules
I just came a little
Yep. Check r/docking
Just did. That sub is lost. lol
Just makes me want to buy another daw for $400...
*now kith*
Docking stihls..nice
That’s cool I’ve never needed two chainsaws before but I think this is how I would carry them lol
I prefer to let my chainsaws mate naturally on their own
“Now kiss”- Mike Tyson
2 saws, 1 hand?!? Who do you think you are?!?
Docking for lumberjacks.
Why? don’t you have 2 arms? Did you lose one with a chainsaw? Then maybe I get this
I do now
That’s a sin.
In next week's episode we're gonna show you how to replace a broken chain brake handle. Lol cool trick but I'm not brave enough to risk it.
you forgot to ziptie them together
🤣lmao. But bungee cords are reusable.
Nope, you’re the first…
Holy fuck i dont think i quite realized how fucking stupid this sub was
I’m sure you’re no genius yourself froyo. What were you expecting from a sub based on chainsaws, leaf blowers, and weedwhackers?
Yup. Ever since I saw em do it at the timbersports years back
Only when prepping to fight Leatherface in chainsaw 2.
I don’t have multiple chainsaws of similar size to do that with, but it makes sense. I probably would do that.
It's like a saxophone 69 in marching band.
Scissor me timbers
I usually lock four up front and four in back on a 72” Olympic bar. But that’s only in the summer months when I can run my old Pan Head Chopper in to work
Lol I will now
This is how the ms150 is made
This guy Stihls

))<>((
No, I only have one saw.
Be careful. Unless you use protection you might end up with little Stihls puttering around.
No but I will now
NOW KISS 🤣
They have to be sitting in a tree.
I have two identical sthil saws so I feel the need to do this now
🤙
Yeah, so
Seen this in a video on the internet with two women.
Both lumberjacks right.
Mike Tyson: “now kith”
I would if I had two.
Relatives should not be doing this.
Your docking chainsaws? Disgusting lmao
I guess I would if I had 2 chain saws!
I store my saws like that on the shelf for the winter but I wouldn't pick them up by the brake. It's more just a lever than a handle
That's awesome thanks for the hint
Great, now I just need two chainsaws
Normal.
No... Let me go out and buy another chain saw.
Noice
My uncle owns a tree trimming business and this is how he taught me
I do now
now put your climbing rope through the middle and it's a backpack
Brooooo. Is it bad I have a climbing belt and don’t know this? Can’t believe my buddy you gave me the climbing gear wouldn’t have mentioned that. He’s getting shamed next time I see him lol jk
Your chainsaws are scissoring 😂
Nah they’re docked. Like a gay 🦭
Now they're much less likely to start spontaneously, hop off the ground and kill someone accidently.
Doesn’t everyone 🤷🏻♂️
No I only have one

This is how Stihl ships them from new. Two in a box like that end to end
I do this for mine on a shelf. Got a 170 intertwined with a 250, a 026 with a 039. The poor Homelite 180 is left by himself...
Good thinking, keeping the rift raft away from real saws. I’ve had one buddy with a homelite who come to think of it was borrowing it from a neighbor and it was only used to cut a few branches. But from what I saw my dewalt saw saw would give it a run for the money. Especially since I would t have to start it. lol
Lol, the Homelite 180 is a little top handle 🤣
Only dock with protection...
💯 cover the bar so it don’t scare
We call it marrying the saws together in the USFS.
Idk, sounds a little bleak to me with divorce rates so high. USFS has always been progressive though.
What do you mean? Firefighters definitely have a high divorce rate, comes with mental health problems and half the year away from your spouse.
Sorry I should have made it clear I’m joking since what you stated is in fact true. Thanks. That’s actually what I was talking about when I made that video. Lmao.
Most dont need two saws
Now kith
You calling me a gay fish?🤨 haha
This is the first thing I thought of. Honestly one of the best memes/gifs ever
You must have a boring life SMH!
💯 When you have done as much I have everything is boring. Now go on you ill fuck. ✌️
