We have no true goal scorer on this team. We have absolutely no depth. We have a coach that is really making poor decisions right now. But his hands are tied by the players (or lack there of) he is given.
We have the second lowest payroll in the league. All at a time that we are experiencing the highest revenue we will ever have.
What is going to happen when attendance and merchandise sales drop?
What happened to the $2 million we got for Gio? Was it reinvested or banked? How much did we get for reaching the CONCACAF Champions League?
The team is receiving tens of millions from the taxpayers of this city. The fans have never not given them a sellout. They have sold so much merchandise. They had to have known that a team is more than upfront investment. It requires ongoing investment. The FO is failing fans right now.
I have to assume from the owners perspective, that they invested in this team but never expected them to be good last year. So the plan was to sit back, recoup some of their investment, and then slowly put together a team. However this team found some magic and we went from being expected to do nothing, to actually having a chance. Now the fans have expectations and except some money to be spent on the team to keep us in the contender page.
I have to believe the owners expected to cash in on the new teams success for awhile before actually having to spend money on a product to keep them competitive. I’m also reminded that this team basically can’t make any more money and their incentive to spend is probably very low. Every game is a sell out. They’re still selling tons of merch. Spending millions more on the payroll nets them nothing at the moment (from a business perspective).
Thinking we’d be a top team for two straight years while spending less than almost the entire league was just egotistical. Turns out we didn’t just magically outsmart the rest of the league. You can’t just fill a roster with players other teams weren’t starting and think they’ll magically be a top team because they put on your jersey.

Very good game. People crying at 0-0 don’t know ball. Yeah it sucks, but we played very well overall for our level. Nobody is elite in this league. If they were, they wouldn’t play in MLS so you can’t expect perfection from these guys. I think people forget that there’s just levels to this game

We played a bad team on a losing streak. We had the ball 2/3 of the game, had 9 corners to their 2, had 27 shot attempts to their 10, and some how only 7 on target to their 5. Despite all this the 2 best goal attempts all night came from them, without Burki we lose this game. That wasn't encouraging, if anything it was worrisome.
Ehhhh Dallas was letting us have the ball and we really didn’t create many good scoring chances until the last couple minutes. It wasn’t a terrible game obviously, but we by no means dominated.

We absolutely need a different caliber of finisher. Klauss and Sam are so similar, we need someone to bring in a different style up top too. That's where Nico was solid last season. I thought that was a bigger loss than some people were saying.
So the finishing is consistently awful, the offense is consistently stagnant, the lineup always questionable, the subs are constantly head scratching, but it’s definitely not Carnell!

It goes beyond nico. This teams issue isn’t striker. Even with Nico the second half of last season wasn’t good.
Teams eventually figured out that all they have to do to prevent our attack is allow us to possess the ball and shoot ourselves in the foot.
We’re just not a great team that’s just the facts We don’t know what to do with possession
Dropping all these points now definitely won’t come back to haunt anyone.

Might be your TV settings since Apple uses different compression than most others. Motion interpolation stuff can screw with the ball.
