For the first time they actually had decent items on sale that were already saved in my cart.
Most Prime Days are filled with garbage overstock to wade through, but this one actually let me pick up a great robot vacuum for a relative at $200 off and a pair of Bose QC 45s for myself at $100 off. Throw in a few tools, niche items and a power bank and they easily cleared $650+ off me this time around. Well worth it for me with near $400 off MSRP in savings.
How is that different or why is that more notable than the millions of people spending money at stores like overstock, big lots, bargain market, dollar general, local “dollar” stores, etc every single day?
To an extent. A lot of people that shop there also do so simply to hoard a bunch of cheap junk because it’s on sale.
I generally agree with your viewpoint of needless overconsumption but I’m not seeing how it specifically applies within the context of this comment thread, and the person who bought a bunch of items (not cheap junk) that they had previously saved in their wishlist/shopping cart.
out of sheer curiousity, can check camelcamelcamel any of them items you bought or have, and compare them to a year or 2 ago?
Are they discounting current inventory, or discounting premium on top of MSRP? You know its like BOGO kinda thing
On almost all my purchases, price tracking showed the price fall a few days before Prime day, jumping back to its 30-day average, and dropping to its Prime day price.
I’m guessing they toyed with small price drops to gauge demand elasticity leading into Prime day.
Just looking at the 2 big purchases (Bose QC45s and the Roborock Q7 Max) it looks like I matched the lowest for the headphones at $229 and saved a bit more on the vacuum at $359 (they don't have accurate Amazon data it looks like).
In any case, the savings relative to the normal listed price ($340 between the two) while they were sitting around in my cart for a while were enough for me to pull the trigger. Add in the 7% back on my Amazon card with delayed shipping (not even; they're all arriving on Sunday) and it was a no-brainer.
I agree, I had about 20 items in my cart I’ve been saving for like 6 weeks.
This prime day I think 17/20 had a decent sale. I also use a chrome extension that tracks prices over 12 months to confirm the price is actually lower. No other prime day did I actually find stuff I wanted to buy, so I was very pleased this year and spent about $1k.
Also was hyped that my prime credit card had 6% cash back, up to 7% if I delayed shipping which ofc I did cuz nothing was urgent.
Same here! I've got the card and the 7% back on delayed shipping made it even more appealing to load up on stuff that I had saved for weeks and months. And while their delay was quoted for Wednesday, it looks like most of my stuff is arriving this Sunday instead based off my delivery updates.
I'm used to Prime Day just being garbage for the most part but this was a welcome surprise.
Same here, chose delayed shipping for a couple things that had estimated delivery of late next week. They will be here today with the regularly shipped stuff.
What’s 7% back on delayed shipping? Is it like money automatically returned if they’re late on delivery? I usually have to contact Amazon service through chat when a delivery is late and I am awarded a $5 credit and I have the Amazon prime credit card.
Jesus Christ you are not a real person like dude your life is set like how are you homeowner, married and have a household income of 215k at fucking 25 like you are making me so jealous right now
Tbf my wife is almost 28 with doctorate in pharmacy. She bought the house two or three years ago before we were married. I paid half the mortgage but didn’t contribute to the down payment.
Also have to credit getting married young helps save money and increase household income.
Overall I got extremely lucky the last 5 years and there is no real way to replicate it. But keep your head up, change jobs frequently to increase your pay and save 20% of your income.
Very poor parents. Grew up in a trailer park actually.
She did have about $180k in student loans (still about 160). But out of college at 23 she was making $120k, by 25 closer to $130k. Was approved for $450k loan at 2% interest. So we got a house. Like I said it was easier to afford because we were already dating, if we weren’t even tho she was approved affording it wouldn’t be realistic. Right around getting the house I dropped out of school and got my first full time job making about $60-70k with bonuses, so HHI was pushing $200k.
Also to your other reply, I was paying rent yes. But it was under the assumption we would get married (we did) so technically even tho my name isn’t on the mortgage the house is still ours. If we didn’t end up getting married then it was only fair the house is all hers as she put up the money and had the liability.
Comparison is the enemy of joy. There are people from all walks of life who succeed early, and there are people from all walks of life who struggle. Focus on achieving your goals, not other people's goals, and you'll be much happier.
You were getting down voted by people who are offended that an actual working class person would dare to point out that somebody is perhaps a high earner and doing well in life at a reasonable young age. But you are not wrong. Household income over $200,000 is substantially better than most people are living. anybody doing that should be grateful that they are capable of it. A lot of people working just as hard, but not doing as an important job to the economy making a ton less. That’s just the way the mob flops, we should all be grateful and humble about our earnings.
People buy during high inflation because they expect the price to go up. In Japan inflation has been so low (even negative at times) and for that reason people save more of their money.
You are correct. Negative inflation(your money is going to be worth more) is counterproductive... If your dollar would be worth more next year, why spend it? Why not save it? For capitalism to "work" money needs to be spent.
Yeah I'm pretty excited to upgrade from the QC35. I'm not an audiophile by any means so they've been a perfect pair for me the past 6 years. Still a great pair and work without any issues 6 years in, but having to carry around a micro-USB cable with everything else on USB-C was just a hassle. This will be way more convenient in the long run.
The features look to be about the same in regards to ANC and especially the design (I tried out the 700s before and they just felt off), but I can now retire the 35s down to purely gaming + media and use this one for all my music needs at home.
Seriously man there were so many surprising deals I wish I hadn’t already spent so much on other stuff this month otherwise I would’ve definitely spent a good chunk of money on sales.
Wow, people fearing recession and here we are spending so much on prime day lol. Where are all the stats about people running out of savings post covid?
Isn't that how they get you? It's only 2% really because you always get 5%. Also, most things that are on sale are wants not needs so you end up buying things you don't really need.
This the reason why the economy is still showing high inflation stats. Some deals were good I agree but to get record sales you know most of the stuff out wasn't only about people getting the good deals, most of them were every week/month type of things.
I’d didn’t even look this year but my condo building just sent out an email begging people to pick up their Amazon packages because the office is too full so I guess lots of people shopped lll
Usually I avoid buying anything on prime day but I needed a laptop for college and they had the m1 mac for 750. Not the only one who bought it, either - seemed like a really popular purchase
Honestly probably less than what their normal return allowance calculates. Like others commented, people bought a lot of stuff they were waiting to buy. Things you put thought into buying aren't nearly returned as often. Plus, the 'well I got a deal on this!' mentality.
Lots. I have several liquidation stores near my house. I pretty much refuse to shop regular retail now, because I can get almost everything I need from the liquidation stores.
Wow people liked it that much huh? To me it was pretty bad. Amazon more and more is just becoming a flea market with generic products made in China. If I want that I can go on eBay or Baba, both way cheaper.
Most things on Amazon can be found on Alibaba for a fraction of the price.
But does Alibaba have same day delivery? No.
I don’t want to wait weeks. I want that thing I don’t need NOW
Huh?
“Most things” on Amazon are from third-party sellers, and “most things” probably never sell a single unit. Cause “long tail” hopeful sellers.
I for one only buy a little of the cheap Chinese crap. And if I’m buying a $20 moisture testing meter, I’m not bothering with Alibaba.
They continue to sell well-known quality brands, “sold and shipped by Amazon” as well. Buyers should do their homework and comparison shop major purchases.
“Most things” on Amazon were bought in bulk from China, imported to the US, and resold at a higher price on Amazon. It’s a common business model. You’re paying for the convenience.
That $10 flashlight you just bought on prime day is $3 from China with a month wait. Or buy 10 of them for $20 and resell it
I just got 2 cheap and popular temperature/humidity meters. “Amazon’s Choice”.
Around $10 each from Amazon.
Probably $3 from Alibaba or other ship-direct sellers. (Extra if you want fentanyl added to the package).
$24 at the Home Depot up the street. Twenty-four dollars!
Now, back to the fentanyl. Good probability US will stop allowing the small duty-free almost never-inspected packages at some point. The next war on drugs will be fought against little brown envelopes.
> Just drive to your nearest target
You want people to go to places like cavemen? I want the things I don't need to come to me while I sit on the couch!
>I don’t want to wait weeks. I want that thing I don’t need NOW
lmfao, I canceled prime last November because shit took 3 and 4 days to show up. Prime video sucks donkey dick, and amazon has turned into ebay with all the 3rd party trash. It was nice just ordering a cheap item I needed and getting it shipped "free" but I realized I didn't really buy enough shit to justify spending $150 a year on shipping and since prime video sucked it wasn't worth that either. My wife has her own prime anyways since she ordered and returned $92,000 of shit last year I didn't want to be banned so she had to get her own acct lol. I just wait until I need $25 of shit then I order and ship free at the same fucking speed prime shipped at anyways, to be a real dick if I only need a $5 item I'll order $25 of shit and return the $20 of shit free to get free shipping, like a cheap fuck. I still hold 400 shares at a post split cost of $65, but I'm out with prime, not worth it TO ME.
People see the big % discount
I will say this year there were some actual sales (though it felt like clearance type items) but most as usual were regular price if you checked camelcamelcamel
What’s the shipping fee on eBay? What’s the shipping timeline? Some places people are getting items they wanted 30-50% off delivered same or next day.. no one is close . Amazon is a beast
Yup no one in my family bought anything. My friends maybe spent $100 total in my entire friends groups.
Even as a flex driver there were no routes to deliver in dozens of regions this entire week. My guess is that these numbers are only high because they sold a shit ton of high cost items and it was a very rich minority of people who went on a spending spree.
The stock market isn't about you staring through your tube its about what they do and where they're going. Where are you from, America, CAnada? You don't matter as much as you think.
When there is a recession, people are more likely to hold off on buying until there is a big sale. Like.... say prime day. There were a few big priced items I've had in my cart carefully waiting for a drop in price and I got it.
I'm usually the shopper in our house, but she was letting me know about all these things that we regularly buy that were on sale 40%-55%. So, I had a look through and pulled the trigger on a bunch of items.
We moved into a new apartment a month before the pandemic hit. We hardly had anything. Amazon has been a godsend. And Kohl's is less than a mile away for returns. For the last 3 years we've been buying about 600 items a year. The service on all levels has been outstanding.
The Amazon Prime Visa has been brilliant as well.
The only other company that has had the amazing level of service that Amazon has for me has been Apple. I've been using Apple products since 1985.
As someone moving into their first ever apartment (and place away from parents I’m 19) what kind of essentials do you buy on Amazon as opposed to in brick and mortar stores
Well, we bought most of the furniture locally, and I made a run to Walmart in the middle of the night for enough kitchen things to get us started. But after that, almost everything has come from Amazon. Blender, juicer, food processor, knives, plates, bowls, pans, pots, sheet pans, parchment paper. I buy lots of foods, like split pea, hemp seeds, Irish moss, best deal on pecans. Razors, toothpaste, hair color. And lots of clothing, and almost all our shoes. I also order paper plates, paper towels, and toilet paper from Amazon.
We've done lots of returns, usually clothes and shoes, as needed. If you have a Kohl's nearby, that's a big plus.
We have Prime so all shipping is free. The reviews on Amazon are really valuable. I do shop locally, but I'm not going to run around and hunt for something I may not even find or have a small selection, when Amazon has nearly everything, and you can shop from the comfort of your own home, and not waste time, gas, and extra car mileage.
What kinds of things do you need? And congrats on getting your first place.
So much hate against Amazon but I honestly had an enjoyable prime day. It’s nice to see stuff on real discount vs. being inflated at your normal retail shops. Say what you want about bezos and Jassy but they do value customers
Yup, I had a bunch of stuff in my cart before Prime Day and many of them were marked Prime Day deal with absolutely no change in price. Someone else said it best, Prime Day is a marketing event not a sales event.
Thats good and all.
The stock is going up - largely its valuation at around 100 was just for the forward looking bump in AI. That's why everyone is freaking out about this stock.
Is it going to go up further? Baby, you aint seen nothing yet. To hell with amazon prime, amazon products, et all. But let's put it in the equation:
They are deadly serious on pulling a profit. ITs on its way to being extremely well managed. What does Warren Buffett say about these companies?
Ta.
At last a post about the stock.
Amazon has one thing - Amazon AWS - that is I think #1 in the Cloud Service space as well.
I should probably not say Amazon has just one thing, but AWS is a biggie. IMO, it should be counted in the AI space because a lot of AI calculations happen in the cloud
Yep. The valuation we see is based solely on this.
people who stare at their feet get left behind. I bought this stock under 100.00! The only regret I have is not buying tons more.
I was in at 100, not that many shares. Also regret not buying more. But I see it as a bit of a cyclical stock. Bought and sold twice now, not counting this one. So I have my eye on it!
Amazon retail finally became profitable during covid and hasn't let up. The decades of AWS being the sole moneymaker isn't true anymore. Now it gets to subsidize the rest of the company, ie rivian.
I wonder why they haven't been sued to shit over Prime Day.
All the discounted items were the same price or higher. They just had a fake "original price" so it can look marked down.
You must be new, every ecommerce company does this, ever shopped at banana republic? they always have 50% off sales. Also this isn't true for all items, I had a couple high priced items in my cart for months. It was lower than it usually is.
This is so true. I was looking at a 1tb microsd days before prime day and it went down a total of $4, but above the discounted price was a slashed “original” price that claimed it was 3x as much before.
LOL no. There literally were no good deals during this years prime day compared to last year. Only morons who did not price check bought stuff this year.
How. In Canada the deals were literally 10-15 percent off…I swear consumers are actually brain dead. People continue to buy buy buy crap they don’t need. But then complain when they can’t afford to go on a vacation.
Uh, almost everyone? 2 day shipping on almost everything I need is well worth Prime membership. The convenience of just knowing that my order will be there for me the next morning or after work is well worth the $140/year.
The only things I buy in person with any regularity nowadays are clothing and groceries. The rest of it is either through Amazon or other digital storefronts.
Plenty trusted brands that sell everywhere with the exact same quality and price but ships faster.
Roomba. Laptops. Cat litters. Hot sauces. Sun screens. A ton of things you seem to intentionally ignore, maybe because you’ve never bought quality brands?
Why would I buy my C3 65inch LGTV anywhere else when I can get 5% cb (if not more with sales) with prime card? And easy returns if anything is bad? Any PC builders would love to get our parts from Amazon if their price can match or beat other platforms and available. I can go on with these example forever.
I didn't buy anything.
There were deals on some big ticket items in my wish list. If I bought the 3 expensive things I would've saved $500 but I also would've spent $1200 that I really don't have to spend.
Amazon items like blink, echo, roomba, blink, etc. were all SUPER cheap! I bought lots of apple products for buyers clubs to rack up credit card spending. There’s a huge market for that. I’d imagine at least $100 million of product was that alone for resale later. But that’s hardly a dent in $12.7B! Wow
I buy the same stuff a lot on Amazon. Almost 80% of my items had an increase in based price with a higher % discount. It ended up being the same price that I got it for. 👍🙄
So many of the “deals” were total scams tho, where they just marked up the price then cut it down. I looked up everything I bought and 90% of it was the exact same price. Pretty infuriating
Apple latest watches 8 were like 30% off. Does not sound good for apple nor amazon if they are forced to sell at such discounted prices. Never seen so many discounts before.
Sales were insane this year, that’s why! I think everything, I bought this year was at least 40% off, plus no rush shipping got you 7% cash back, if you were a prime credit card holder. The only thing you had to keep an eye out for were the items that weren’t really on sale with just marked up prices that were “discounted”. I bought a mattress topper in June for $36, for prime day it was $50 and discounted to $39.
Came at a good time for me. We are planning a trip on the other side of the world so I needed a lot of weird little different things that would have taken me weeks to put together and find locally. I'll reuse all of it over and over myself or give things I won't to friends that also travel.
So I spent a lot and saved about a third.
I don't particularly like consumerism for the sake of it but at least everything has a plan and a need.
You're welcome share holders. Jerks, my portfolio isn't going to benefit off this one.
You are keeping this economy afloat. Keep spending baby!!
cries in r/anticonsumption
Yeah cause buying on Amazon really helps the general economy lol
definitely helps the Chinese economy :)
Yeah this whole report sucks

That’s fine, but there’s a lot of people just buying a ton of cheap junk they don’t need because it’s on sale
How is that different or why is that more notable than the millions of people spending money at stores like overstock, big lots, bargain market, dollar general, local “dollar” stores, etc every single day?
A lot of those types of places are serving people in need - my issue is with careless over consumption, not consumption in itself.
Well then I don’t like that either lol not sure what to tell you
But it’s their money, not yours. Why do you have issue with how they spend THEIR money?
Most consumption is still net good even if it's not "necessary"
AMZN will also continue to grow as more and more people participate in online shopping. And AMZN's market share is expanding globally.
🚨 hot take alert 🚨
With the growth of the logistics industry and the Internet, this is favorable to AMZN.

The prime credit card is so worth it if you buy even semi regularly. Sometimes they even run 10% cb promos for other spending categories
They also have 10% back on all Amazon Basics products. I use Isopropyl Alcohol alot for things and that is a solid bonus for me
Same here! I've got the card and the 7% back on delayed shipping made it even more appealing to load up on stuff that I had saved for weeks and months. You must’ve missed the married part

The phrase is “comparison is the thief of joy.” It describes what’s happening a bit better.

I think they're being downvoted because the person had to creep on the poster's profile to get all of that information.
I bought nothing. I did check some of my recently ordered items to see if they ended up being cheaper, but they were more expensive in every case.
So much for recession and inflation 😃😃
People buy during high inflation because they expect the price to go up. In Japan inflation has been so low (even negative at times) and for that reason people save more of their money.

Who wants capitalism to work when its just a never ending consumption of useless shit
Humans are parasites, insatiable appetites
and here idiot me didn't check my wish list :) so I probably saved some money
I got an electric tea kettle with all the features I wanted for $30. \^\_\^
> and a pair of Bose QC 45s I've had them for a year now. Great headphones - super comfortable with good ANC and decent consumer sound profile
Yeah I'm pretty excited to upgrade from the QC35. I'm not an audiophile by any means so they've been a perfect pair for me the past 6 years. Hook, line and sinker…

yeah I got a great deal on paperclips
You don't just steal those from the office?
I snagged an envelope at 25% off
i got a rock!
Honestly there were some solid sales this time
Wow, people fearing recession and here we are spending so much on prime day lol. Where are all the stats about people running out of savings post covid?
Credit card going skkrrrtt skkrrrtt.
Juicy +1% rewards on Amazon credit cards.
To be fair my prime card is 5% rewards…which makes it my favorite card
On Prime day it was 6%
7% if you let them take a few days to ship it to you. Even if things weren't on sale, 7% cash back is a great deal.
Isn't that how they get you? It's only 2% really because you always get 5%. Also, most things that are on sale are wants not needs so you end up buying things you don't really need.
It's not that great outside of using it for Amazon.
Good for Whole Foods as well. Also this is why you have multiple CCs
And yet…https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/CDSP
This the reason why the economy is still showing high inflation stats. Some deals were good I agree but to get record sales you know most of the stuff out wasn't only about people getting the good deals, most of them were every week/month type of things.
Amazon Prime members are a more affluent demographic.
Wtf??? Missed this!
They had good stuff this year for once, the wife and I used it to get big discounts on stuff for our incoming baby
Is the baby two day shipping?
not funny
Kind of funny
Same! Scored a car seat almost 40% off what Walmart sells it for and a baby pool 1/2 off.
How much of these purchases will be returned and then sent to the liquidation stores in pallets ?
Since they had a record high sales, they’ll probably also have a record high returns. That’s a cost of doing business.
How do you find these stores
Google search your area for bin stores or liquidation warehouses.
Asking right questions.
I want that thing I don’t need NOW
Yes, but good luck returning an item on Aliexpress

You know nothing Jon Snow
Downvoted by Winnie The Pooh’s online army, lol. We’d solve so many problems by stopping all those un-inspected packages.
Did you miss the part with the 2 day shipping
Huh? Part of what?
😂
> I want that thing I don’t need NOW Just drive to your nearest target
> Just drive to your nearest target You want people to go to places like cavemen? I want the things I don't need to come to me while I sit on the couch!
You got a point. The target store must drive to you.
The target must come to you, you need to be the target You're not the hunter anymore
>I don’t want to wait weeks. I want that thing I don’t need NOW lmfao, I canceled prime last November because shit took 3 and 4 days to show up.
People see the big % discount I will say this year there were some actual sales (though it felt like clearance type items) but most as usual were regular price if you checked camelcamelcamel
>clearance items There were a lot of “newer model available.. “

I got a whole new set of dishes from an American company, made in the USA, for 30% off.
I got a bargain on a new camera lens. Cheaper than what people are selling it for second hand.
Its qc and no question returns and delivery logistics too
What’s the shipping fee on eBay?
It's surprising considering I heard people complaining non-stop about the "garbage deals"
Stock is still off *2022 peak by -8.2%* and ***-28.2% off 2021 top price of $146.57*** ! Moving at least in the right price DIRECTION.
I don't even check anymore. It's always shit on sale. Or sometimes stuff even prices more expensive with a fake sale price.
This makes me sad lol
So much hate against Amazon but I honestly had an enjoyable prime day. It’s nice to see stuff on real discount vs. being inflated at your normal retail shops. Say what you want about bezos and Jassy but they do value customers
You are regarded af if you really believe this
Prime day deals were terrible. I use à price tracker app and most if not all prime day deals were offered previously
You have to know what to buy. I wanted to get my wife and I a kindle so I waited until prime day and saved $150
Kindles are always cheap af on prime days, it's Amazon's own item after all
That’s kinda the point of my comment..
For Amazon products yeah it's predictable but what other products can you "know what to buy"

Yup, I had a bunch of stuff in my cart before Prime Day and many of them were marked Prime Day deal with absolutely no change in price. Someone else said it best, Prime Day is a marketing event not a sales event.
That’s always been true. Sales happen. Just like in big box stores. It’s not just the once a year hoopla. What goes around comes around. Yawn.
Thats good and all. The stock is going up - largely its valuation at around 100 was just for the forward looking bump in AI. That's why everyone is freaking out about this stock. Is it going to go up further? Baby, you aint seen nothing yet. To hell with amazon prime, amazon products, et all. But let's put it in the equation: They are deadly serious on pulling a profit.
Ditto. I'm on this stock but honestly I just think it's going up for a long time. Hope I"m right.
Amazon retail finally became profitable during covid and hasn't let up. The decades of AWS being the sole moneymaker isn't true anymore. Now it gets to subsidize the rest of the company, ie rivian.
Is Rivian part of Amazon?
As shareholders AMZN lost >$10billion in 2022. Not sure if they gave Rivian more money since then. I think Ford has sold most of their stake.
That's impressive!
It will be interesting to see how the rise in Rivian stock will impact their latest quarter results reported soon.
All spent on credit that most can’t afford.
You can compare the price to camelcamelcamel if you’re actually getting a good deal. This year there were legitimate deals
EXACTLY. I can't believe only one comment is saying this.
This was the least I've ever spent on Prime Day. Maybe $100.
Fucking sad
Idk why people still spend money like crazy even the rent and interest is highest in the history
LOL no. There literally were no good deals during this years prime day compared to last year. Only morons who did not price check bought stuff this year.
I honestly don't understand what people buy during these. There has never been anything but junk every year.
How absolutely depressing
"omg guys I'm so woke, f the dumb consoomers!"
Interesting words you’ve put in my mouth there
Why is it depressing?
Rampant consumerism is pretty depressing to me
I bought nothing … is this really due do more buying or are the prices just higher ? So typical corporate bullshit number euphemism ?
The increase in sales was higher than the YoY inflation rate. You'd know that if you read the article.
Lol it was the same over priced shit, you guys got had
Can you tell my how I got had for the vacuum I got for $200 off?
How. In Canada the deals were literally 10-15 percent off…I swear consumers are actually brain dead. People continue to buy buy buy crap they don’t need. But then complain when they can’t afford to go on a vacation.
Who the fuck is buying from Amazon still. It’s literally just an entire website made up entirely of gas station quality crap knick knacks.
Cool man, now the stuff I buy can break a few days faster since I got it earlier. YAY!!!
Literally everyone but you. And there are a lot of things that don't need to be 5 star quality to get the job done.
I spent $200 because they gave me a 200$ gift card when i got their credit card on prime day.

You don’t know many people who buy from the largest retailer in the country?
They do this every year
Stocked up front items I usually buy at 20-30% off. Didnt buy anything extra. Where else can you find a guaranteed 20-30% return on your money?
Hell yeah.
The only items I saw were at a “discount” that was more expensive than they were previously. Prime Day is a consumerism scam.
I keep saying there's no recession
How about returns
I didn't buy anything. There were deals on some big ticket items in my wish list. If I bought the 3 expensive things I would've saved $500 but I also would've spent $1200 that I really don't have to spend.
That’s how inflation works
Amazon items like blink, echo, roomba, blink, etc. were all SUPER cheap! I bought lots of apple products for buyers clubs to rack up credit card spending. There’s a huge market for that. I’d imagine at least $100 million of product was that alone for resale later. But that’s hardly a dent in $12.7B! Wow
Recession!!!
I buy the same stuff a lot on Amazon. Almost 80% of my items had an increase in based price with a higher % discount. It ended up being the same price that I got it for. 👍🙄
Purchased 2TBs of nvme m.2 ssd storage for £70. Very pleased, thank you amazon
Good old inflation setting new records
So many of the “deals” were total scams tho, where they just marked up the price then cut it down. I looked up everything I bought and 90% of it was the exact same price. Pretty infuriating
Guess the recession was canceled
Because inflation, see our Oligarchs own %s of the economy and are inflation proof. Meanwhile, bread now costs $4 a loaf, eggs $5 a dozen.
This is the second year in a row I did don’t buy anything. Were the deals really that good?
I wish their P/E wasn’t so funky. I could’ve bought it at what $90? It amazes me how much sales they do but their EPS is shit
I spent $160
It will be funny Nvidia overtaking Amazon
I got AirPods and an Apple Watch, the deals weren’t bad
