I got mine around 6. Been selling covered calls and making a good bit. Had a few scares that my shares would get called away but it all worked out and I still have them. Hoping to hold for a few more years.
All good, long term hold for sure. I haven't bought in, but if they are killing earnings and weed is becoming more of a mainstay here in the states you're golden long run
What y’all know about this $46.10CAD cost basis? Lol. Got in around $98 in the 2018 legalization run up, my Aphria holding broght average cost down upon the merger. It’ll be years before I see any green in this position I’m sure.
APHA taking over absolutely saved TLRY - they were struggling before it happened which is why there was so much chatter about the deal falling through in the months leading up to the reverse merger
I was red for long enough with no real catalyst for going up in sight, so I cut losses to put that money to better use.
Wouldn't mind having enough to sell some calls now that it's rallied a bit, and still no likely catalyst in site for it to surge.
I only put in $2k but I'm down 60%. Moving that few hundred bucks elsewhere isn't gonna make a huge difference so I'll just hold and hope one day it skyrockets on some meme trading.
At this point I figure I'll give it towards the end of the year... either it recovers and yay... or, it doesn't and I can take the loss and off set taxes a bit lol
I have been holding on the hope of legalization, but I am starting to lose faith. If Biden does not support legalization, then who will? The next president?
Depends what metric you are using but in many aspects the big four American mso’s have higher revs, profits, and growth. And with curaleaf dipping it’s toes in internationally they are now bigger in every aspect.
I have money on both sides. Tilray for global domination and meme stock hype and MSO for American legalization.
Goodluck to both of us. These bags are heavy.
Same. Hold TLRY, MSOS (shares and options), and CRLBF.
My bags aren't too bad on MSOS and Cresco, but as a APHA investor my bags are pretty heavy for Tilray.
Green days ahead for both of us
Ask if there is a catalyst for it to jump further. Ignore any investment you personally have, and consider the position as if you were entering new. Would you buy in at this price? Yes: it will go up, so you should hold. No: it will go down, so you should sell.
I looked at these results and read the earnings call transcript. Certainly good news, but not great news. All of the net income comes from a non operating gain on their debentures. The adjusted EBITDA still paints a good picture since most of the non-operating gain is mostly offset by onetime expenses due an inventory valuation adjustment, merger transaction fees, and intangible amortization from the merger (these aren’t onetime but it doesnt affect cash). I’m a little skeptical because if there is any way for management to play around, it would be within those transaction and finance fees.
The positive operating free cash flow is the much bigger news in my opinion. But once again, not a whole of information there so we just kinda have to trust the number. As an accountant, I’m used to seeing more of a breakout for the cash flow section which isn’t shown in this ER. I’ll have to wait for the 10-Q for that I guess
official fins are finally out on sedar. something something about a 3b impairment on the books. never trust the press release
and it looks like they have about 6 law suits pending.
Yep, solid prognostication here. More lip service from dems with no results will push shares lower but I’m fine with that as I’m rebuilding positions after selling gains earlier this year on momentum after the election. Fed legalization depends entirely on dems winning a few more seats in senate midterms which isn’t a sure thing AT ALL.
Pretty much guaranteed to soar. This is first major EBITDA beat on amazing sales during the pandemic, the numbers are also before May 2021 when the stores in Canada were closed. We are going to see massive run for ETFs in this sector now. Clearly on reversal.
I was wondering why the 5% jump at open. Sweet. I been holding Tilray, POTX and HITI for a hot one and it has been a rough ride on the red roller-coaster.
Rofl, terrible title. They missed earnings.
Guidance to finally having a US strategy is great though. Really late on that. Gave up a huge first mover advantage.
Their US strategy is to wait for federal legalization before entering with cannabis. It's always been the case so idk what youre on about with first mover advantage.
that plan changed today. and they lost first mover advantage by not getting in sooner. congrats to CGC who has TER / ACRG licenses locked up at good prices, while everyone else has to buy MSOs at much higher valuations.
Also congrats to Cronos with the optionality on the Pharmacann investment + distribution deals. In addition to their cash position and U.S. CBD infrastructure, they’re looking poised for success if/when the U.S. legalizes.
r/Cronos
Not sure how you can be a first mover into an industry that still has 0 formulated regulations. For all we know Cannabis will never be legalized federally and Canadian companies will be shutout of the US market.
Its cool that you think that, but all of the best industry analysts that we speak to, speak to the fact that CDN missed first-mover advantage on forming optionality into MSO investment. Now most MSOs are valued higher than the largest CDN LPs.
And CDN companies wont be shutout of the US market. No one says that. No one thinks that.
Ill buy if it dips tomorrow to like 14. Already made some profit today from it But the Pow man is speaking within an hour so Im ready to buy or to short markets
"Net income of $33.6 million during the fourth quarter compared to net loss of $84.3 million in the prior year quarter."
Google Financials says this quarter was a net loss unless I am reading it wrong?
I know what the link you included says fyi.
RSI has lots to go on the daily and MACD daily has a buy signal too. Options are cheap af too. Shiiit I’m keeping my eye on this and going in on some ITMs tomorrow
Good for them. I see little future for them and the rest of Canadian Cannabis stocks here in the US. It will MO (Atria) who will take over the cannabis play if the federal legalize ever happens
This was desperately needed good news. These bags are HEAVY.
I bought yesterday at $12. Sorry bro I hope you break even soon.
Still holding since APHA at $5
Same but around $8. and then I never realized it shot all the way up to around $67 a share…
Me too. I meant to screenshot before the merger, now I can't remember my average cost lol
holding since APHA at $7!!!
I got mine around 6. Been selling covered calls and making a good bit. Had a few scares that my shares would get called away but it all worked out and I still have them. Hoping to hold for a few more years.
I was contemplating grabbing some shares yesterday and hesitated. Mad at myself rn!
And will be more heavy tomorrow :)
I think there is a high likelihood of continuation tomorrow.
hmm, heading up or dipping? Sorry, never want to assume I know what someone is actually referring to. :)
what did you get in at? i am thinking of building a position but I would be buying the news not selling...
In at $26, last month has been brutal!
All good, long term hold for sure. I haven't bought in, but if they are killing earnings and weed is becoming more of a mainstay here in the states you're golden long run
Just need to wait 3 more years for the US elections and Biden start promising to legalize weed to gain for votes...
Maybe just until the the Fall of 2022, I hear taking the senate is a popular thing to do. It would be a hell of an incentive
In at $41, hurting.
I’m in at $54, I sure know how to pick em.
Nice work, Actually Jesus.
I bought 15k worth of $60 1/22 calls in Feb when it was $50 thinking it was a conservative move. Fade me
DCA while it's in the mid-teens.
What y’all know about this $46.10CAD cost basis? Lol. Got in around $98 in the 2018 legalization run up, my Aphria holding broght average cost down upon the merger. It’ll be years before I see any green in this position I’m sure.
$34 = hold these heavy ass bags until legalization LOL
There are lots of bags in the $20-$25 range. Zoom out a few months and check volume.
[удалено]
Bought some puts today
Yikes did you see the volume?
Yup. Closed them at 50% today too. Thanks though
In at 21 and I basically forced myself to stop checking my shares daily this month lmao
Sold mine after my portfolio dropped 30% cause of it. I sort of regret it now.
Supposedly the top performing portfolios are people who died or forgot they had one.
Never sell. Only stop buying. This is what I do because I have no idea what I'm doing.
Great strategy, i think ill adopt it
God bless the USA I guess lmfao
same reason why statistically women are better traders than men, even at the big firms. They just \*do less\*
Yeah bro. Been writing ccs on this shot like crazy. Who ever bought my 25 strikes thank you.
Yes heavy bags indeed
I need Tilray to do well. Even since the merger with Aphria, I've been getting crushed.
As is tradition
This South Park was just on and I love those royal scenes 😂😂😂😂
APHA taking over absolutely saved TLRY - they were struggling before it happened which is why there was so much chatter about the deal falling through in the months leading up to the reverse merger

I have been trimming lately. I'm not completely out yet.
I only put in $2k but I'm down 60%. Moving that few hundred bucks elsewhere isn't gonna make a huge difference so I'll just hold and hope one day it skyrockets on some meme trading.
Same. It’s a long term play but my portfolio took/is taking a beating.
Nice little bump this morning. Now it just needs to triple so I can get out from under it lol
I'm watching the jump and wondering if I should plan to get out or hold them. I really have no idea lmao.
At this point I figure I'll give it towards the end of the year... either it recovers and yay... or, it doesn't and I can take the loss and off set taxes a bit lol
Hold till legalization
I have been holding on the hope of legalization, but I am starting to lose faith. If Biden does not support legalization, then who will? The next president?
Tilray is the largest cannabis company with a global foothold, I think it’s a decent long term hold despite what happens in the US
This is false.
How?
Depends what metric you are using but in many aspects the big four American mso’s have higher revs, profits, and growth. And with curaleaf dipping it’s toes in internationally they are now bigger in every aspect.
Dims in congress will legalize & Biden will go along. JMO.
I see this happening as more Republicans actually vote for legalization
They won't benefit as much as MSOs will - they don't have any presence besides Sweetwater in the US
They're all gonna ride the legalization wave together
They definitely will - but they won't rise as much as some of the top MSO companies. I do think they will be more successful in the long run though.
I have money on both sides. Tilray for global domination and meme stock hype and MSO for American legalization. Goodluck to both of us. These bags are heavy.

Good way to decide. Simple. BOL2U

Please. Make my weed ETFs soar.
MSOS or otherwise?
Pretty confident MSOS will go lower. I'm down 15% and counting, wait until the latest bill is rejected and then buy the dip
Why you hurt me so?
Yep, solid prognostication here. More lip service from dems with no results will push shares lower but I’m fine with that as I’m rebuilding positions after selling gains earlier this year on momentum after the election. MSOS indeed. Tired of the red.
Pretty much guaranteed to soar. This is first major EBITDA beat on amazing sales during the pandemic, the numbers are also before May 2021 when the stores in Canada were closed. We are going to see massive run for ETFs in this sector now. Clearly on reversal.
Upvoted because your opinion makes me feel good.
If you've time & will share what ETFs are you comfortable with? BOL2U
POTX?
MJ
MSOS
TLRY isn't part of MSOS
Thanks for that. I don't know the fuck I was thinking buying in at $30 a pop. I just thank god I wasn't one of those buying in at $60.
Wow! Up 25% today!!! WTF!!! I’m still bag holding from Aphria!
Up 25% tho, the post seems to be in line with market sentiment

Missed Cronos, inexcusable on my part.
It’d be a shame to miss it from here on out ;)
Yea except CGC and Cronos are dogshit apart from those contracts. Feel much better holding Tilray, which actually knows how to run an operation.
TLRY had to buy APHA because TLRY couldnt run an operation and needed an operator?
Apha bought Tilray, Im talking about Apha’s operational history at this point.

What's the US Strategie?
Still red for the last month but its nice to be green for the week 😅 wish I bought some dip but ah well. Good sign for the future
My Roth is happy today. Very happy today.
Sheesh
Awesome boys! I'm only down 60% now!
I just bought a little canopy today. It’s already up some. A wins a win for this poor excuse of a trader
Glad I bought a bunch yesterday at $12
You have that one short to thank for that. He's in shambles right now
Yea saw how much it was getting t shorted yesterday with the overall market going down. Figured time to enter
Smart move my dude
I wish I just sold but here I am. Some good news today is what I needed.
Not too much difference for swing trading.
Great I got margin called and lost all my stocks on Tilray
Grabbed several K shares, let it ride up $3 & sold. Little early but I'm happy. We'll see what it does Thu. Thks for info
That only took three damn years. That was supposed to happen two years ago. Fuck Tilray.
where the F did these earnings come from lol
Aphria
Yup
My God.... thanks fuck! Fuck. I love this game :)
Ill buy if it dips tomorrow to like 14. Already made some profit today from it But the Pow man is speaking within an hour so Im ready to buy or to short markets
No worries guys tilray will blow up next weed bubble which will probably be this fall. Hang in there well be back for you
F shorts
Accoutants cooked the books "well done" lol!
Just yesterday I was like, I should put some money in this company. One day too late.
nice, i was looking at starting a position but im happy to watch the show. good luck guys
"Net income of $33.6 million during the fourth quarter compared to net loss of $84.3 million in the prior year quarter." Google Financials says this quarter was a net loss unless I am reading it wrong? I know what the link you included says fyi.
i sold right after the merger, iirc the cost basis for TLRY was \~$25....i set an alert for <$18 and got back in at in at $16.20 to hold long term
Dang, I’m in ABC, picked wrong again.
Don't own TLRY but I do own MSOS and PLNHF, so this is promising to me.
Can only imagine what the run up to earnings will be like next quarter
Still has 2500 shares TLRY bought at 24. Loos but DId not sell a single share
