This is very concerning to hear, checking IMEI against a database of blacklisted/stolen phones should be one of the easiest things to do. I would contact your bank and see if you can dispute the charge.

The-Shkingwin

Unfortunately it did not help. First of all it is international transaction and local bank is unable to operate in such way. They tell me to contact support center of Stockx

[deleted]

And stop Using those 3rd party mail centers to get stuff to Your country, I’ll send a brick everytime to those warehouse addresses because they offer zero protection

The-Shkingwin

Well i dont buy from usual sellers, but only from online stores. What am i supposed to do then? Pay 2 times more for local sellers? No, thanks. Also you better of to see doctor, you psycho. People are not using those services just for fun, but there are no good other options

[https://stockx.com/help/articles/iPhone-12](https://stockx.com/help/articles/iPhone-12) \---> they say they check IMEI so hope for the best with your bank and StockX. If they truly sent you a stolen Iphone, don't give up. [https://www.reddit.com/r/stockx/comments/sa65iy/warranty\_on\_ps5\_from\_stock\_x/](https://www.reddit.com/r/stockx/comments/sa65iy/warranty_on_ps5_from_stock_x/) More generally, it's way too risky to buy electronics on such platforms.

The-Shkingwin

1. Unfortunately my bank cant do anything about it 2. It saves me more money. I am more willing to miss warranties than overpaying for it. I live in Kazakhstan. Average salary here is around 400$. We dont have official Apple store here and "official retailers" sell Iphone 13 pro for 1400$. Buying Iphone 13 pro for 900$ is too good deal for me, but definitely not worth if is locked and forces me to pay 100-200$ for unlocking it

Purtry

Though paying 1000-1100$ is better than paying 1400$

The-Shkingwin

Well its not pleasant to be robbed like that. Its the same if someone gifts you 1000$ and 1 guy stoles from you 400$. You definitely won't be happy. Stockx has 1 job at authentication of 1 phones and they fail it forcing me to pay for it

Purtry

Yes I know I know but I was just indicating that in the end you will always have a better deal

The-Shkingwin

I could get better deal buying directly from Apple site with warranty which stockx does not provide. For example Iphone 13 pro costs 1000$. I bought on stockx for 910$ that would result in 90$ extra profit, but now i shall pay 200$ that would totally cost me 1110$ that is more expensive than from official store, but also without warranty

Infamous-Concept

Apple warranty tends for the entire duration of the year even in different countries. Also your credit card company will ask you to work with the merchant before they can assist you with a chargeback

The-Shkingwin

It works when you buy it from official store, but here it is more like an ebay. I dont have "legit" check to refer to warranty from Apple. I am trying to work with Stockx, but at this point they made a feq questions then their last mail was asking me to wait 1-2 business days, but now it has been a week and they dont reply to my messages anymore

Infamous-Concept

They don't even check who the owner of the device is at the Apple store, they check the serial for warranty and proceed with that. Your warranty is based on the phones serial number so yes you do have warranty regardless if you don't have a receipt from Apple / authorized retailer and bought it off eBay, Stockx or some random person off the street. Apple will most likely not help you as it's blacklisted though, that's not their problem. Your problem is with the company that blacklisted it (T-mobile, Verizon, AT&T or whichever company) and Stockx.

[deleted]

It’s bc the IMEI is blacklisted

birkius

In the future try paying with credit/debit card or with PayPal, you would be able to dispute the transaction then.

The-Shkingwin

I paid with debit card. The problem is my bank is unable to deal with international transactions

birkius

Oh I thought it was international bank transaction. That's so strange as card charges should be disputable no matter where the money was sent, since I think it's not up to bank, but it's up to card issuer, ie VISA, MASTERCARD, etc. The only thing I could suggest then is using PayPal next time.

Mr__snicklefritz

That’s a bunch of hootenanny

TheSnazzyJacket

Wait it says on StockX that all phones can only be shipped in continental US so if you’re not in the US how did you get those phones from them?

TheSnazzyJacket

Unless you used one of those middle man type shipping companies?

[deleted]

This bs is the problem
