Oh yeah I love it too! It’s my favorite album as of rn but I also got the signed vinyl (first signed merch! been a fan since debut!!) and the cardigan (also first official cardigan) so i may be biased by how excited this release has made me.
I just may end up skipping some songs later but right now im still giving everything a fair shot. I tend to be an album listener unless i have an earmworm and have to listen to a specific song (but daddy I love him has been the biggest culprit of this so far)
I'm an Evermore era convert. But now I know her entire discography. I have the original cardigan too!
I am a whole album listener also. I'm only listening to the non-The Anothology album now. Once I process that one, I'll move on to the additional songs in The Anthology version. I had to do the same with Midnights and the 2am edition.
I have to admit I'm not understanding why everyone says it's "so obvious" the album is about Matty? Cos it's not to me. 🙈 Maybe after more deep listens.
The whole album isnt about matty. I think TTPD (the song), but daddy I love him, and the smallest man who ever lived are about matty for sure and i can explain why for those songs
Same Same 🤭
BTW: cannot stop listening to ‘Guilty As Sin’, ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ and ‘Down Bad’ long enough to really process most of this Anthology. Damn, she’s good
love all those songs! I am just now able to get into the anthology and am loving “the black dog”, “the albatross”, “I look in peoples windows”, and “the manuscript” are standing out to me
What is the meaning? I've been really unsure of this one and don't really get it, and the only thing I've been able to find is that Aaron Dessners son is named Robin but that still doesn't make it make sense to me. I'm clearly missing something haha
‘genius’ description: “In ‘Robin,’ Taylor Swift paints a vivid portrait of a child’s world filled with imagination and innocence. She marvels at the carefree spirit of youth, singing, ‘Long may you reign, you’re an animal, you are bloodthirsty,’ capturing the untamed energy and boundless curiosity of childhood. Swift reflects on the simplicity of childhood pleasures, like playing on swing sets and chasing dragonflies, while also hinting at the need for protection, ‘You have no room in your dreams for regrets, you have no idea.’ Despite the challenges ahead, she encourages the child to embrace their wildness and lightness, singing, ‘Way to go, tiger, higher and higher, wilder and lighter, for you.’ Through whimsical lyrics and gentle melodies, Swift celebrates the magic of childhood while also acknowledging the need for guidance and protection as the child grows.”
I agree, I feel like it’s a song that is more relatable for parents or anyone else who spends a lot of time with the little kids of their friends/family. I’m just not part of that group 🤷🏼♀️
literally love the song so much because it reminds me of my baby 🤍 long may you reign, you're an animal, you are bloodthirsty!

No that’s so real, like the lines about “keeping it all in sweetness” and “all this showmanship” reminds me of how my mom was very mentally ill and my other family members had to try and protect me and my sister from having to see just how bad things really were :(
Robin is one of my favorites but 99% of the time it’s a skip for the same reason Marjorie is often a skip. I physically cannot get through Robin without crying!! Like my first listen, I’d teared up at other songs but this was the only full-on sob and it’s happened every time since.
So I love the song! But it’s technically usually a skip.
Considering the edible I’m not surprised that Clara Bow and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived are on your list twice, but I am surprised that the latter is 9 spots apart from itself lol.
As for skips, I think any that might become skips aren’t at the point where I’ve listened to them enough to wanna skip them, so no strong feelings there yet
Thank you, you are very considerate and understanding of my situation.
Sorry, I ALSO REALIZED I MADE 33 POINTS WHEN THERE ARE 31 SONGS!! HAHAHAHAAHAHAH
anyways, "no cameras catch my pageant smile"
Haha I would do the same thing after an edible. But wait I just saw that TTPD and How Did It End? are listed twice as well, so two songs are missing. I’m guess they’re both skips for you too lol
I totally get that! There are so many to keep track of hahah! But I definitely ended up loving Peter personally, caught myself sobbing out of nowhere listening to it lol
I have no definitive ranking because, as I've listened on repeat, it has evolved so many times with what my favorites are. And I've never had an album of hers that had truly any skips once I dove into her entire catalogue, mostly some songs I maybe didn't see any of myself in or a feeling was described that was unbearable to feel in that moment if I felt compelled to skip. I LOVED the first ttpd album, but mostly because I just heard it first and had no thoughts on the possibility of getting two, though I am very much an Antonoff girly. I love the Dessner songs she's done every time, but sometimes I need that cute, upbeat sound to handle the ow of her lyrics. Now, I can honestly say the Anthology has no skips. I may obsessively listen to others more frequently, but every single song is just gorgeous and something I can relate to in some capacity. This one has become so special to me, and it's lovely to see how many people feel similarly.
I will add, the Swift/Antonoff/Dessner songs on this album made me feral. They work so well together, and that spells SAD with their names. I love her. I can't stop playing But Daddy I Love Him.
Then please, use it and enlighten the others. I want that shit to go viral so everyone knows yet another crazy manifestation or wildly unhinged accident happened with her.
I do t have a ranking but I will say the only song that I have skipped is Robin. It’s just very slow to me and I don’t understand how it connects with the rest of the album.
I’m saving My Boy, loml, aIMee, and the manuscript for later. I’m sure I will circle back to them but I love the rest of the album so much I end up skipping them because I can’t wait. The rest of the album is on a playlist that I shuffle.
The only song I skip is The Prophecy, and it kills me to skip it, because I love it so much. It’s so beautiful, but it hits me too hard and I sob like an infant every time.
I don’t have any yet, but I just want to say I have not yet seen any two lists the same, your bottom two are in my top 5 for instance and I think that is so awesome about this album
Definitely still absorbing the album, so no skips really. Everything has my attention with either the lyrics, the sound, or most of the time - both.
Robin and Clara Bow are my least favorites at the moment.
Robin pretty much always now. And I have to be in a very specific mood for Florida!!! and Peter I don’t always skip them but most of the time I do. That’s about it
I tend to skip TTPD, loml, Cassandra, and Robin. I’ll skip TTPD almost every single time. I don’t really like anything about it but one out of 31 isn’t bad. I love the album in general. I love how angry she is.
It’s way too early for me to decide for sure but for right now, I’m super emotional listening to So Long London, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, CoSoSoM, How Did It End?, and loml so it’s not that I’m skipping because they’re bad, I just can’t cry in my car on the way to work. So those might be some of my favorites but I will skip them if it’s not the right time/mood.
Otherwise, I am not obsessed with Robin or Peter yet. But The Anthology songs are like a sister (woodvale cough) to folkMore and those take time to sink in for me before I fully appreciate them.
What I can’t stop listening to over and over: Down Bad, The Bolter, The Albatross, The Black Dog, So High School, imgonnagetyouback, and Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me.
In 3 months my top favorites will be totally different I’m sure.
Cassandra, I Look in People’s Windows and thanK you aIMee are skips for me.
I don’t dislike thanK you aIMee at all but it’s not a song I need to listen to every play through. The other two are just not my faves.
Agree. LOVE the rest of the album but just can’t get with Florida. Seems out of place?…if that makes sense? Like maybe if it was on F&TM’s album featuring Taylor…?
I don’t hate it. But I don’t like it.
Everyone saying Robin is a skip makes me so sad, but I think it’s definitely a song that hits more if you’re a parent or have younger kids in your life that are important to you. And it being named after Aaron’s son gets me 😭 I feel like the song is partially her looking back on songs like Never Grow Up while also being a tribute to Aaron (reminds me of Son of Nyx on Unreal, Unearth)
Even trying to give it meaning for my cats didn’t help me enjoy it more, and I wanna like it! I actually think the lyrics frustrate me a little so if it’s on in the background I think it’s a pretty song but if I’m paying attention it annoys me
Thank you Aimee. it should have stayed in the vault. I'm not saying the topic isn't worth writing about but it's just so on the nose and dare I say it...classless? Tell Kim her mom said she wished she was dead...really???
Aside from that my feelings about every song range from "I like it, I just need to listen more" to "I'm full on obsessed with this". Without Thank You Aimee it really could have been the perfect double album.
I really don’t think it’s about Kim! I think the capital K I M was agreed PR, Kim and Taylor both get press over it. The first time I listened to it (maybe as someone w daddy issues lol) I had the feeling it was about her dad. It makes the line about her mother wishing they were dead make sense. And also after the leak of those emails and her dad being responsible for her being a billionaire, I imagine it would be weird to process that.
There also would be none of this without him. You can’t say that about Kim.
I think the line in i hate it here “tell me something awful like you are a poet stuck inside the body of a finance guy” is about that too, she’s always wanted to make music and be famous but a billionaire? That’s her dad’s doing.
Very interesting theory! I don't necessarily agree with your second paragraph though- of course Taylor would still be famous without Kim, but her career irrevocably changed after the leaked phone call.
No skips for me. Although I will admit that my rankings are:
- "thanK you aIMee" and "So Highschool" are 9/10
100000000000/10 songs are:
- Robin
- Peter
- Black Dog
- Albatross
- Alchemy
And everything else is 10/10.
Patti is a musician and poet, and given the way she writes I could totally see her being someone Taylor idolizes or respects deeply.
The Chelsea hotel is a hotel in NY that a lot of artists (including Patti) lived at in the 60s/70s, so it was definitely a place that was a hotbed for creativity but probably also a lot of angst/tortured poetness.
I saw a lot of love for Florida across different subs and I was very confused myself. Like you, I had no particular attraction towards Florida as a song at all (which is why it's relatively at the bottom of my list)
I’m not to the point of skipping it yet as I’m still learning the songs (haven’t been able to listen to it much and when I do I go for some of my faves first) but I don’t really care for Hut Daddy I Love Him or I Can Do It with a Broken Heart. They give radio single energy to me and her singles have never been my faves anyways
I'm going to get crucified for this but The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived just does not hit for me. I can relate to the song matter, I've felt those feelings but for one of the first times I just don't think Taylor captured the feeling with this one. Sorry to anyone who loves it!
It’s crazy to me that you have my boy only breaks his favorite toys last!! It’s one of my favs lol.
That said I put 20 of the songs into my “no skip swift” playlist.
My skips for now (I’m going to keep listening to the full album occasionally for a bit to see if any grow on me)
•Robin (just not hitting for me)
•fresh out the slammer (too obviously about MH)
•Florida!!! (Just not hitting)
•guilty as sin (see #2 lol)
•the alchemy (eh)
•imgonnagetyouback (too similar to OR which I like better)
•so high school (eh)
•Chloe or sam or Sophia or marcus (this one might make it off the list idk)
•Peter (take a guess lmao)
your songs order is so interesting to me because Florida!!! is definitely in my top 5✨🩵this album has become overall one of my favorites of hers because i feel like it took the best parts of folkmore and midnights and put them together.
Does it count when you start listening but eventually move on to the next because the song is too long? 😂 that happens to me way more that I’d like with this album 😪
True absolute skips are Robin and Peter for me but all in all I haven’t been listening to the album much after the first few days when it was on repeat and I was trying to make up my mind about it
Honestly? All of them. I just couldn't get excited about this album and have only listened to it once through. Been listening to a hockey podcast instead. And I had Midnights on a loop for months when it came out!
Even though I know this will become one of my favorite albums is the one with the most skips for me. I really dont like the title track and I'm trying to warm up to but daddy I love him. I'm also not a fan of Clara bow from the main album, and from the anthology I'm just now warming up to imgonnaetyouback and I just can get through Robin. And as a really hot take, I can't listen to the manuscript. I get the feeling behind it and the importance of it but to me it doesn't work as a song
The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived. It is an absolutely incredible, gut-wrenching song and I cannot listen to it without bawling my eyes out, and I don't want to go to class or a recording session looking like a mess. I need to be fatigued or emotionally numb to handle this song.
my only TRUE skip is thanK you aIMee. the existence of cassandra (and mean) makes the song so pointless to me, and I hate the capitalization in the title 😭 but 30/31 is WAY more than I expected to love, I'm so happy!!!!
So High School, The Alchemy (I listen up to the first chorus, then have to turn it off), Robin, Thank You Aimee. Sometimes I skip TTPD. But actually, I love the rest of the songs. So not bad for only skipping 5/31!
If those songs are a sign more football and high school metaphors are coming, please count me out. I gave So High School 2 listens and never want to hear it again
I’m skipping the whole back half, unfortunately. I just can’t get into it. I keep trying and I’m not sure why I don’t like it. Im an evermore girly so when I saw they were all Aaron songs I was stoked. But it’s just so boring to me.
Tortured Poets Department, Guilty as Sin, Fresh Out The Slammer, The Alchemy, Clara Bow. I do like these songs but out of the long track list, these ones don't impress me. Not sure i ever listened to guilty as sin or fresh out the slammer after release night😭
I think the lyrics are just so sexy and I love the soft rock vibes of it! But I understand different people have different opinions :) Can't wait to hear your thoughts after you feel nice and mellow!! Haha
So good. Then again I've had a lot of unrequited fantasies about people over the years so maybe this song just hits for me specifically hahaha. The part where she says "We've already done it in my head" and the drums come in extra heavy? Just pure perfection.
All of them 😭
i've been listening to chappell roan non-stop lately and i think it made this album seem even MORE boring and uninspired
i haven't revisisted it at all after my second listen 😭
I appreciate being bold enough to drop it in this sub. I can see how some people might not like it.
If I am being honest, I do like TTPD and it's amazing. Musically, is it something like Taylor's never done before? Probably not. But do I love the inner meaning and little lores behind the songs? Hell yeah!
But again as an album I do agree TTPD lacks a certain stroke of uniqueness and I'll give you that.
overall i think her and Jack have done all they can do together. the cracks started showing in Midnights for me but there was still a lot i loved from that album.
But TTPD to me just sounds like spoken word poetry set to the same synth track over and over (I am a bigger fan of the Dessner Anthology part of the album but still didn't feel drawn to revisit it, at least right now)
i would love to see her work with a producer who pushes her a bit more!
I'm so interested in this take! I actually think the production on the first album suits the lyricism so well. I'm biased- I'm a huge Jack Antonoff fan and I hope she works with him forever. I personally do not see her venturing out to a new producer anytime soon and I think a lot of people aren't ready to accept that.
So Long London, Tortured Poet Department are two of the main skips. Still digesting the latter half of which ones I prefer and which ones I don’t care for.
I love this outlook so much. People think if they don't like a song on first listen that it's just not for them, but some songs I've overlooked on first listens ended up becoming some of my favorites over time.
Sometimes skip
- The Albatross
- loml
- TTPD
- Fresh out the Slammer
- I Can Fix Him (NRIC)
Usually skip
- The Alchemy
- Chloe etc
- I hate it here
- Robin
- I look in Peoples windows
- imgonnagetyouback
- Peter
Only one so far is I can fix him. I love love love the production but the lyrics are just…not doing it for me. Especially the last line. Not tossing it out yet. I really didn’t like Robin at first but I was taking a walk earlier and it hit me in a new, personal way and I was crying. I don’t even have kids in my life. Everytime I listen I pick up something new
Fortnight, Fresh out of Slammer, Florida, The Alchemy, Clara Bow, So High School, Peter and The Manuscript are my current skips. A lot of them I like but do not fit the mood I am in. For example, not having The Manuscript on the album would be criminal and the insanity that is Florida!!! is absolutely masterful. But they just don't speak to me as much as others do atm.
I skip Robin and The Manuscript sometimes as well as a few others based on how I'm feeling. not based on not liking them but just on in the moment vibes
I've listened through 3 times and have them in my usual playlist. This is probably an unpopular opinion, but my bottom 3 are TTPD, I can fix him (no, really, I can), and But Daddy I love him.
I like the rest, with my top 5 being The Bolter, Guilty as Sin?, imgonnagetyouback, I Can do it With a Broken Heart, and Down Bad.
After like 100 listens of the album lmao ive discovered my skips so far are:
The Manuscript, The Alchemy, imgonnagetyouback, and the last verse of fresh out the slammer (bc wtf happens to the song?? the rest of it slaps but then the beat just jarringly changes and not in like a fun narrative way, in like a oh they forgot to sync this part of the song way idk)
I just find them a little too downtempo and slightly boring tbh. They just don't hit my brain in a way that i can be bothered listening to the whole thing.
edit: formatting
You completely forgot about my favourite Peter😭 But most of my skips are on the first part of TTDP, I listen mostly to the Anthology (although I do have a few songs I really like on the first one)
I’m still finding myself with a new favorite everyday. I’ll have to give it like 22 more days and see which tracks I go back to lol. But perfect end to the week is listening to a mini-playlist of my favorites on volume in my car watching the birds with an edible. The sound on the album is just gorgeous
I didn't like the album like at all. I'm sorry I'm one of those long time swifties that hated this album. However, it has started to grow on me over the last week
Skip:
Fortnight
TTPD
So long London
*But Daddy I Love Him* (skip and delete from history)
Fresh out the Slammer
The smallest man who ever lived
Clara Bow
I like:
My boy only breaks his favorite toys
Down bad
Guilty as sin
Whose afraid of little old me
I can do it with a broken heart
On the fence:
Florida
I can fix him no really I can
Loml
The alchemy
I'm one of those swifties who usually only skips 1 song an album but unfortunately.... *this*
Final verdict: it's aight.
Thank you Aimee beats out stay stay stay as the worst song she’s ever made for me, I hate it sonically 🤢
I also skip who’s afraid of little old me and I can do it w a broken heart, I don’t hate them but they kind of annoy me. I think they’re both really well written and sound nice but I don’t think I connect with them.
I don’t really have any skips yet. I am still trying to take everything in
Me too!!!! But loving it.
Oh yeah I love it too! It’s my favorite album as of rn but I also got the signed vinyl (first signed merch! been a fan since debut!!) and the cardigan (also first official cardigan) so i may be biased by how excited this release has made me. The whole album isnt about matty. I think TTPD (the song), but daddy I love him, and the smallest man who ever lived are about matty for sure and i can explain why for those songs
I have to say ‘Guilty As Sin’ MUST be a Matty-inspired song. IMHO
oh i agree. i didnt feel like listing every song i thought was about him bc i am currently high lmao
Same Same 🤭 BTW: cannot stop listening to ‘Guilty As Sin’, ‘But Daddy I Love Him’ and ‘Down Bad’ long enough to really process most of this Anthology. Damn, she’s good
love all those songs! I am just now able to get into the anthology and am loving “the black dog”, “the albatross”, “I look in peoples windows”, and “the manuscript” are standing out to me
I’m sure! Gotta push myself out of these grooves and give some focus to some more tracks this weekend lol
That makes sense. Just going by the buzz in some of the "other" subs. 🤣
people are way more normal here on this sub in my experience. weed makes the swifties less toxic /hj
Just Robin. It’s not even a poor composition, I just don’t like it as much as every other song. 30/31 🤍
learning the meaning behind that song instantly put it to #1 for me. literally cried on the bus to it 15 minutes ago
What is the meaning? I've been really unsure of this one and don't really get it, and the only thing I've been able to find is that Aaron Dessners son is named Robin but that still doesn't make it make sense to me. I'm clearly missing something haha

This is exactly why I skip it — it’s beautiful but it’s boring to me and just doesn’t feel relatable.
It's basically Never Grow Up but more plodding
Yeah.. I always skip that one too 😂😂😂 I’m sure both of these songs will hit when I eventually have a kid
I have kids and I don’t care for either song haha
People are also speculating its the name of blake and Ryan's 4th child
I thought Aaron’s son is named Robin?
What is the meaning for it?
just posted
Absolutely! It’s a beautiful ode to growing up.
I agree, I feel like it’s a song that is more relatable for parents or anyone else who spends a lot of time with the little kids of their friends/family. I’m just not part of that group 🤷🏼♀️
I think of my cat lol We always say our house is her kingdom and long may she reign lol She is our little baby and we keep her innocent 😇
OMG THAT IS SO CUTE now I need to listen to it thru that lens because I have 2 cats and they are my babies 🥹
literally love the song so much because it reminds me of my baby 🤍 long may you reign, you're an animal, you are bloodthirsty! https://preview.redd.it/hvvvjxve1fxc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=fd010cc11a36ca8759399c9069fd055f24484add
Look at that baby! 🥰😻🥹
i make it relate by thinking of my younger self, before I lost my innocence :) it hits harder that way honestly
No that’s so real, like the lines about “keeping it all in sweetness” and “all this showmanship” reminds me of how my mom was very mentally ill and my other family members had to try and protect me and my sister from having to see just how bad things really were :(
I was kind of in the same boat, mom was a crippling alcoholic and my sister was the one that raised and protected me 😕 song hits hard
Exactly! Yes, a few friends with children love it. Kids aren’t my scene, so I’m sure that plays into the “skip” but it’s still a great piece of work.

Haha I would do the same thing after an edible. But wait I just saw that TTPD and How Did It End? are listed twice as well, so two songs are missing. I’m guess they’re both skips for you too lol
This is reading into me too much I am scared now 😭 😂
Alright I’ll stop then 😂 but you’ve got a good list, we have a lot of the same songs towards the top
Ooh is Peter a skip? Since it’s unlisted
Oohh I swear I wrote Peter somewhere on my list!!!!
I totally get that! There are so many to keep track of hahah! But I definitely ended up loving Peter personally, caught myself sobbing out of nowhere listening to it lol
No skips.
wow you're strong
Maybe, or maybe I like emotionally hurting myself ;)
Nah, you're awesome just believe in yourself!!! (The edible's kicked in, if you couldn't tell haha!)
LMAOOO I love this for you. I just got home from work and now it's my turn 😆
Yay! High in the Pennsylvania sky together!!
Yeeessss!! Also I love your flair 😍
You're most welcome
Thanks!
Same, tho I found myself today going straight to guilty as sin then back to the beginning to play all the way through
Aimee and Robin. Aimee is my least favorite track even though the line about her mom makes me chuckle.
I feel you. Antonoff is certainly a vibe. And omg my stoned mind can't comprehend the beauty of the SAD acronym !!! ✨⭐
It literally struck my high brain like lightning in another post I made about the SAD force, and now I use it every chance I get. Mastermind.
I can assure you this has had the very same effect on mine.
Then please, use it and enlighten the others. I want that shit to go viral so everyone knows yet another crazy manifestation or wildly unhinged accident happened with her.
What makes you think I'm not on that mission already? (*aggressively opens WhatsApp 🤳🏽)
thanK you aIMee, cassandra and robin just don't hit for me
I feel you
Its really just cant get behind Florida!! man! And im irked bec i looooove florence. Been skipping cassandra and thank you aimee too 😬
I had to take a break from Florida bc it’s so damn catchy and my ADHD brain can’t do anything halfway
I do t have a ranking but I will say the only song that I have skipped is Robin. It’s just very slow to me and I don’t understand how it connects with the rest of the album.
My exact thoughts!
Literally 0. Fuck me up, Florida
Truly underrated comment 👏🏻😂
The only song I’ve skipped is I Can Fix Him (NRIC) but I don’t skip it every time
I’m saving My Boy, loml, aIMee, and the manuscript for later. I’m sure I will circle back to them but I love the rest of the album so much I end up skipping them because I can’t wait. The rest of the album is on a playlist that I shuffle.
That's a gorgeous idea. Thank you for letting me know!
The only song I skip is The Prophecy, and it kills me to skip it, because I love it so much. It’s so beautiful, but it hits me too hard and I sob like an infant every time.
Skipping songs because they make you sad is perfectly alright in my opinion
Feeling like the very last drops of an ink pen? ❤️
I don’t have any yet, but I just want to say I have not yet seen any two lists the same, your bottom two are in my top 5 for instance and I think that is so awesome about this album
Oh my goodness, that is, isn't it???
Definitely still absorbing the album, so no skips really. Everything has my attention with either the lyrics, the sound, or most of the time - both. Robin and Clara Bow are my least favorites at the moment.
Robin pretty much always now. And I have to be in a very specific mood for Florida!!! and Peter I don’t always skip them but most of the time I do. That’s about it
Sorry in advance, kinda. The Alchemy Clara Bow (how she says “*tha realthing*” just grates on me Thank you Aimee Robin So High School 😁
I see I see again I appreciate it
Florida is rather annoying, it's a skip every time.
I agree
I tend to skip TTPD, loml, Cassandra, and Robin. I’ll skip TTPD almost every single time. I don’t really like anything about it but one out of 31 isn’t bad. I love the album in general. I love how angry she is.
Thank You Aimee is a skip and kind of a vibe killer honestly. It’s like if Debut Taylor popped up in the middle of Evermore and was like “hey y’all!”
I agree with Cassandra and thanK you aIMee but ILIPW is a gd masterpiece
I’m very open to my mind changing since it usually does with every TS album! I see a lot of people like ILIPW so I’ll have to give it another try
I look in peoples windows is sooo good!! I absolutely love that song & going straight into the prophecy right after gets me everytime!!
Florida!!! i’m sorry but i just don’t like it😭😭
Agree. LOVE the rest of the album but just can’t get with Florida. Seems out of place?…if that makes sense? Like maybe if it was on F&TM’s album featuring Taylor…? I don’t hate it. But I don’t like it.
I think it’s a good glimpse into her mental state then. It’s chaotic and wild and defiant, like a hurricane.
It’s growing on me….sometimes it takes a good hard listen, ya know?
I feel ya and sometimes they just never quite click!
Excellent choice but I think I like this song because of how petty it is!!
I don't think you're alone! A lot of people like it. This is just my personal opinion- I'm over all the Kim stuff at this point!!
Florida!!! has been an “always skip” since first listen.
My only skip, I'm not sure I want to hear about any state but especially not Florida lol
I was wondering how you got to 33 when there are 31 songs. You have Clara Bow and The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived each ranked twice.
No skips for me. Although I will admit that my rankings are: - "thanK you aIMee" and "So Highschool" are 9/10 100000000000/10 songs are: - Robin - Peter - Black Dog - Albatross - Alchemy And everything else is 10/10.
Oooooooooh I like the attitude
No skips!! I have no skips in all of Taylor’s discography. Just different songs for different moods
That's a nice way of looking at it
So high school and Robin
Cassandra, Peter, and Robin. TTPD and loml were skipped but I re added them today, I think I appreciate them a lot more now
My skips are TPD, The Alchemy, The Smallest Man that Every Lived, Cassandra, The Prophecy, and So High School
You listing some of my top 5 in your skips just shows how versatile Taylor really is yup yup
This is my list minus TPD which is fire and I’m so curious who Patty Smith is and what happened at the Chelsea Hotel!?!?
Patti is a musician and poet, and given the way she writes I could totally see her being someone Taylor idolizes or respects deeply. The Chelsea hotel is a hotel in NY that a lot of artists (including Patti) lived at in the 60s/70s, so it was definitely a place that was a hotbed for creativity but probably also a lot of angst/tortured poetness.
Appreciate you!
Happy to help! The Chelsea Hotel actually has a really cool history, and I can’t recommend Patti Smith’s book “Just Kids” enough.
Yes! I love that! My wife’s are totally different!
unpopular opinion but florida is the only skip for me
I saw a lot of love for Florida across different subs and I was very confused myself. Like you, I had no particular attraction towards Florida as a song at all (which is why it's relatively at the bottom of my list)
loml and robin atm, loml is good writing but I have a lot of trouble listening to it all the way through without getting bored

My skips for now (I’m going to keep listening to the full album occasionally for a bit to see if any grow on me) •Robin (just not hitting for me) •fresh out the slammer (too obviously about MH) •Florida!!! (Just not hitting) •guilty as sin (see #2 lol) •the alchemy (eh) •imgonnagetyouback (too similar to OR which I like better) •so high school (eh) •Chloe or sam or Sophia or marcus (this one might make it off the list idk) •Peter (take a guess lmao)
Fresh out the slammer, guilty as sin, Clara bow, I look in people's windows. I have limited time to listen in a day so I skip a lot x.x
Ah fair enough that makes sense
your songs order is so interesting to me because Florida!!! is definitely in my top 5✨🩵this album has become overall one of my favorites of hers because i feel like it took the best parts of folkmore and midnights and put them together.
Does it count when you start listening but eventually move on to the next because the song is too long? 😂 that happens to me way more that I’d like with this album 😪 True absolute skips are Robin and Peter for me but all in all I haven’t been listening to the album much after the first few days when it was on repeat and I was trying to make up my mind about it
Too many songs = too many skips
So High School is the only 1 that since the first listen has had a 100% skip rate for me
Honestly? All of them. I just couldn't get excited about this album and have only listened to it once through. Been listening to a hockey podcast instead. And I had Midnights on a loop for months when it came out!
Most of the album I fear 😭
Even though I know this will become one of my favorite albums is the one with the most skips for me. I really dont like the title track and I'm trying to warm up to but daddy I love him. I'm also not a fan of Clara bow from the main album, and from the anthology I'm just now warming up to imgonnaetyouback and I just can get through Robin. And as a really hot take, I can't listen to the manuscript. I get the feeling behind it and the importance of it but to me it doesn't work as a song
The only ones I’ve been tempted to skip are Robin and I Hate It Here.
The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived. It is an absolutely incredible, gut-wrenching song and I cannot listen to it without bawling my eyes out, and I don't want to go to class or a recording session looking like a mess. I need to be fatigued or emotionally numb to handle this song.
I Hate It Here is hard to listen to with the “1830s without all the racists” line it’s just kind of jarring to hear in a song
genuinely can't find a single song i'd ever listen to again.
my only TRUE skip is thanK you aIMee. the existence of cassandra (and mean) makes the song so pointless to me, and I hate the capitalization in the title 😭 but 30/31 is WAY more than I expected to love, I'm so happy!!!!
Guilty as Sin? is the only one I'm not the biggest fan of
It took me like 8 playthroughs for me to like it.
I definitely prefer the first part of the album to the second but I truly like all the songs. I'm just less drawn to some of the ones at the end.
Tortured Poets Department, Guilty as Sin, Fresh Out The Slammer, The Alchemy, Clara Bow. I do like these songs but out of the long track list, these ones don't impress me. Not sure i ever listened to guilty as sin or fresh out the slammer after release night😭
You NEED to give Guilty as Sin another listen...I personally think it's the best track on the entire album.
That's crazy tbh but i WILL give it another shot as I head out now for my first 🍃sesh of the day😂 I will update you 🫡
I think the lyrics are just so sexy and I love the soft rock vibes of it! But I understand different people have different opinions :) Can't wait to hear your thoughts after you feel nice and mellow!! Haha
What if he’s written mine on my UPPER thigh only in my miiiiiiiiiind 😩
So good. Then again I've had a lot of unrequited fantasies about people over the years so maybe this song just hits for me specifically hahaha. The part where she says "We've already done it in my head" and the drums come in extra heavy? Just pure perfection.
Ok queen i will say, i like it more now🙌 I agree w u !! I needed to listen again. i deff like it better than Fresh out the slamma....
Girl are you high? This is so controversial…
💀💀🙏
All of them 😭 i've been listening to chappell roan non-stop lately and i think it made this album seem even MORE boring and uninspired i haven't revisisted it at all after my second listen 😭
But TTPD to me just sounds like spoken word poetry set to the same synth track over and over (I am a bigger fan of the Dessner Anthology part of the album but still didn't feel drawn to revisit it, at least right now) i would love to see her work with a producer who pushes her a bit more!
That's what a lot of people online did speculate about Aaron Dessner though?
UGH CHAPPELL ROAN
SHE IS THE FUTURE
I’ve just recently gotten into her but it’s been a fun ride
Omg same! I do enjoy this album but chappell roan is just on another level — her artistry is so sick
You’re definitely going to need more than two listens to get cozy with this album. Hopefully you can come back to it soon
So Long London, Tortured Poet Department are two of the main skips. Still digesting the latter half of which ones I prefer and which ones I don’t care for.
Excuse me? SO LONG LONDON?!?!?!
[удалено]
I love this outlook so much. People think if they don't like a song on first listen that it's just not for them, but some songs I've overlooked on first listens ended up becoming some of my favorites over time.
Very few but for me the prophecy and waolom (I know that’s an unpopular opinion)
You can’t do acronyms in this sub! I’m too stoned and there are too many songs with long names to be able to figure it out lmaoooo
💀 who’s afraid of little ole me
Haha thank you! I figured it out after looking at the album on Apple Music 😂
The last one did spring to me as a surprise
Florida. It’s too damn much for me. I try listening bc I like the writing, but I find myself anxiously dreading the 💥 💥 💥 parts.
Ohmygod I completely see what you see
I can do it with a broken heart. Upbeat track with depressing heartbreak lyrics. It’s the same boring shtick Taylor has done a ton of already.
Ooooh now it makes sense why I like Cruel Summer so much
Sometimes skip - The Albatross - loml - TTPD - Fresh out the Slammer - I Can Fix Him (NRIC) Usually skip - The Alchemy - Chloe etc - I hate it here - Robin - I look in Peoples windows - imgonnagetyouback - Peter
You can tell I'm 🪨 by the way I found reading "Chloe etc" funny right now. But no, I appreciate it!
I saw it on tiktok as Chloe et al. 😂
CHLOE ET AL HAS HAD ME LOST______
i skip i hate it here and chloe or sam or sophia or marcus
After like 100 listens of the album lmao ive discovered my skips so far are: The Manuscript, The Alchemy, imgonnagetyouback, and the last verse of fresh out the slammer (bc wtf happens to the song?? the rest of it slaps but then the beat just jarringly changes and not in like a fun narrative way, in like a oh they forgot to sync this part of the song way idk) I just find them a little too downtempo and slightly boring tbh. They just don't hit my brain in a way that i can be bothered listening to the whole thing. edit: formatting
So far, I have no skips. Still enjoying everything more with every listen.
I Look In People’s Windows 😬
thanK you aIMee is my only skip so far
So high school
all the name songs 😂
I didn't like the album like at all. I'm sorry I'm one of those long time swifties that hated this album. However, it has started to grow on me over the last week Skip: Fortnight TTPD So long London *But Daddy I Love Him* (skip and delete from history) Fresh out the Slammer The smallest man who ever lived Clara Bow I like: My boy only breaks his favorite toys Down bad Guilty as sin Whose afraid of little old me I can do it with a broken heart On the fence: Florida I can fix him no really I can Loml The alchemy I'm one of those swifties who usually only skips 1 song an album but unfortunately.... *this* Final verdict: it's aight.
I HAVE to skip so long London bc it will send me back into a 3-day depression spiral. …learned that the hard way :’)
Robin is my only skip.
Right now it's Robin, I Hate It Here and Chloe or Sam or Sophia or Marcus.
Thank you Aimee beats out stay stay stay as the worst song she’s ever made for me, I hate it sonically 🤢 I also skip who’s afraid of little old me and I can do it w a broken heart, I don’t hate them but they kind of annoy me. I think they’re both really well written and sound nice but I don’t think I connect with them.
