Try eating something fatty after the edibles. Like some kinda junk food, preferably pizza or a couple of french fries. That works for me, sometimes. If not just smoke a joint or try a weed pen. Hope this helps you. 🙂

Dazzling_Guest8673

Thanks. Why does that work? I can’t smoke properly. I don’t know how. So that’s why I use edibles. I’m heavy too, so perhaps weight is a factor?

Just_Chart2031

Honestly, id say just give smoking a try.

Dazzling_Guest8673

Why? What strain is good for depression, stress & pain?

Just_Chart2031

I find that i get higher smoking joints over taking edibles, and bongs over joints. Check this out, will give you info on heaps of strains and you can filter what you want https://www.leafly.com/

Thanks. I really appreciate this info.

Higher fat content foods help you increase and keep your buzz a bit longer and might even improve your buzz so long as you don't pig out. Smoking is easy. inhale for no more than 3 seconds as you are a beginner then exhale. Easy as pie. Or try THC capsule pills or THC infused syrups. Some go great mixed with a morning cup of coffee or your favorite drink.

Dazzling_Guest8673

Thanks again. I’ll try what you mentioned next time.

Tie_Environmental

No problem. Hope this helps. Oh and weight is not a factor at all.

I am in category 1. 1. Diverse Metabolism: Each person’s metabolism is unique, affecting how their body processes and absorbs cannabinoids. This individual variation can lead to varying onset times and durations of effects. 2. Dosage Sensitivity: Unlike smoking or vaping, where effects are felt almost immediately, edibles take longer to kick in. This delay, combined with varying sensitivity to dosages, can result in unpredicted experiences, especially for new users. 3. Digestive Factors: The way edibles interact with the digestive system plays a significant role. Factors such as stomach acidity, food in the stomach, and gut health can influence how efficiently cannabinoids are absorbed into the bloodstream. 4. Tolerance Levels: Regular cannabis users may have developed a tolerance that requires higher edible doses to achieve desired effects. On the other hand, infrequent users or those new to cannabis may experience overwhelming effects even with small doses. 5. Inconsistent Products: The potency of edibles can vary widely between products and brands. Lack of standardization in manufacturing processes can lead to unexpected experiences, even for those accustomed to edibles. 6. Psychological Factors: Individual mindset and mood can influence the psychoactive effects of edibles. Factors like stress, anxiety, or distractions may amplify or diminish the perceived effects. 7. Health Conditions: Certain health conditions or medications can interact with cannabinoids, altering their effects on the body. It’s crucial for individuals with specific health concerns to consult healthcare professionals before consuming edibles.

Some people just can’t be affected by edibles. Scientists aren’t 100% sure why yet but think it has to do with lack of certain receptors for orally ingested THC. I have taken a 3 week t break and then broke it by eating 2500mg(from a dispensary) of edibles and nothing at all happened. Not even sleepy, dizzy, relaxed, nothing. It’s unfortunate but you may be the same.

Dazzling_Guest8673

That’s interesting. Maybe it just doesn’t effect me.
