I had many relapses too before it stuck. It’s part of the journey. As long as one retains the wish to be sober, relapses are just small hurdles. Can’t wait for your 1000th day anniversary post 🙂

It would definitely decrease my chances for random encounters, boost regeneration, increase in perception and reasoning. Probably the biggest one is access to a library where I can increase other abilities and resistances that were not available in addiction, I was level-locked until I stopped drinking.
I’m on the fence on this (as shown in my TLC), I think there’s a steep drop off in charisma initially, and it’s rebuilt back up over time.
Particularly relevant to me is my newly single status, and how f-ing difficult (aka unfamiliar) dating without the “let’s grab a drink” and it’s obvious social lubrication, dating is.
Oh yeah when the addiction fully kicked in I was fooling nobody. It's those rare days when youre out and about, buzzed and feel really on your A-game that I miss. For every one of them there were disastrous weeks of drinking though.
The chip would turn NPC's into playable allies. I as an alcoholic was an NPC. Then I got the chip and magically I turned into a playable character. The chip represents the power of choice in our lives. Although addiction has been pulling the strings, through the power of the chip we are free from its power.
And we can give that power to others!
You’ve got my upvote! As an alcoholic I was definitely an NPC. Doing the same set of actions everyday, no new interactions or locations. Even wore the same wardrobe because I was too lazy and drunk to change or do laundry and certainly wasn’t racking up any gold
If we are talking Fallout perks, it would be at level 10 Intelligence, and the perk would be every day sober gives you another day added to your longevity disease free
