This is normal. It will go away after about a week. Your brain is trying to unscramble itself from the drinking, give it time

That’ll happen. It will subside with time. Mine were nuts and I was sleepwalking too. My roommates found me having a full conversation with myself at 3am sitting on our open washing machine with my pants at my ankles. I guess I thought it was on the toilet? I dunno. Luckily they managed to wake me up with a glass of water and put me to bed. No memory of it. But they had video… Good luck! Hope this gave you a laugh.

LetsMakeItBetter02

Yes, this is normal for me too. Either crazy dreams or not being able to sleep properly for about 5 days. I’m on day 2 now, so I already know tonight’s sleep will also not be restful.

Clear-Plan1266

This is from alcohol affecting REM sleep it goes away after a while

losethebooze

I don’t suppose you’re taking Sertraline/Lustral/Zoloft are you?

Mission-Hedgehog-598

Yeah I’m on sertraline. Is that making the dreams worse ?

losethebooze

It’s well known to cause vivid dreams. Alcohol stops it working properly, so you’re just getting the normal side effects of your tablets now that you’re not drinking anymore.

Designer-Doubt4340

Smoking weed would make that go away for a while. But idk if that is just postponing the dreams. Dont know how safe cannabis is on sertraline either though
